k0ol Posted November 16, 2006 Share Posted November 16, 2006 How about once a month or week, jagex or someone organanises a PvP event or a team game like castle wars at the end or beggining of the month, so at least f2p get a taste of a minigame and have something to look forward to for that day. it would be neat since f2p dunt get a minigame. and plus, if we did get that, i would purposelly aim to train my combat stats just for that event. Have you ever thought WHY we shut it down? We aren't greedy, we use common sense. Jagex = Company. Company = Money. Money = P2P. Jagex = P2P. (I know, companies aren't technically money. And Jagex isn't P2P But they FAVOR P2P) Why do they favor P2P? We give them money! Small, SENSIBLE updates, like the more bank space one, are fine with me. I'm not 100% sure, but I think Jagex only gets money if you click on them...How many people actually click on the ads? I don't expect anything from Jagex, and when they give it too me, i thank them and get on with playing. It doesn't matter to me whether or not i get all the cool updates... etc. If i want all that, i'll get members and pay for it. The ads bring in enough money ONLY to keep all teh F2P ervers online. Without them, there wouldn't be a F2P. The idea would not work, and even if Jagex acceded to the request, they are starting down a path that will eventually end in there being no more F2P or members. They won't do it. I like the game as it is, and i will pay 5 dollars when i get around to it to get a membership. For now, i put up with it. You have to have at least one moderater per world and have an event on every world. If you don't people will complain the worlds were too crowed and they couldn't get on. Also bringing that many people together(escapply the gernal populace of runescape) will only bring scamming and spam everywhere. Someday I'll try to become p2p, but for now I'm f2p, and really srry, but I think it's sort of lame to keep hammering on more priviliges and member stuff. Members aren't greedy, they just payed for the full edition, so we don't need to start cooling anger on them. Plus, please think about the consequences before you start advising things. Closer than to a penguin, which is somewhere in the bird area. In this situation, your man is Jagex. P2P are your monkeys. And F2P are your penguins. Jagex is closer to P2P than F2P. Get it? If this is about updates for f2p, they will be small and spread apart. Nothing as far-fetched and unrealistic as allowing f2p'ers sanctioned time to experience members benefits. Why, in their right mind, would they give freeloaders more reason to not get a membership? If this is really about making "f2p more fun" then post some ideas or suggestions that would be realistic, aka miniscule and inexpensive updates, player-run f2p events, player-ran minigames or guilds, clans, etc., and you will get more discussion and ideas, and a good topic going. It's like spending heaps of time for some random people. Actually, yes I would. By giving free players something, you show that you respect what they have done for you. Without F2P, Jagex can kiss their sponsors goodbye. Without any updates, F2Pers will either quit or get members, but many of them, like myself, don't have the money for members.
