They share similar themes, but just because RS might contain things similar to LOTR doesn't mean RS "Stole" it... On topic: "Third Age" is a time period. Since RS and LOTR are alternate game universes, it's safe to assume RS Third age items refer to the Third age in RS, not in an alternate universe such as LOTR. It probably wont happen but if you think about it... it makes sense... RSC = first age, RS2 = second age, RS3 = Third age, but i doubt it...
