My friend bought it because the 25 magic bonus that kb shows would have been better than magic wand from the mage training arena. Just so the whole range set can have the SAME EXACT STATS as black dragonhide with +2 magic defense on each piece? The melee is better than dragon and doesn't waste away like Barrows, so it's DECENT, but nowhere as exaggerated as the rumors. Disappointing. Bigger and better armor isn't really that bad. It just protects those 99 hit points better. Now bigger and better weapons could be a problem. I don't think anything better then a whip should be introduced anytime soon without adjustments to HP. Aside from that, something better then a whip would making training even faster then it already is which isn't needed. As far as 3rd age items. Nothing wrong with them. They didn't revolutionalize anything. They are still worse then barrows armor, so personally ill stick to barrows.
