Forever_Lona
I have a very very close friend who is going through a tough time at the moment, and I was wondering if I could get some advice.. She has been helping me deal with the suicide of a friend, and now is helping another friend with a break up. Its drained her to buggery, and she is so exhausted she doesnt have any energy for herself. Now that Im getting back to being myself again I want to do something to help her, something special that says "Hey, thanks, you're amazing" Doesnt have to be anything big, just something simple is all. I'd love to be able to take on the things shes having to do at the moment but thats just not an option unfortunately, so I'm pretty much stuck on looking for a really nice e-card, or wallpaper, something meaningful. Anyone have anything appropriate?? Thanks guys..
insane
Whatever you do, I think it should involve a hug :D

BlueLancer
Whatever you do, I think it should involve a hug :D That's just wrong when combined with the first suggestion on too many levels. They look awesome and aren't that expensive (especially when it comes to cheering up a truly suicidal person)

Nadril
Maybe take her somewhere, like out to eat or just somewhere nice. (I.E maybe a nice resteraunt, or something). Buy her a small sapphire ring or something. They look awesome and aren't that expensive (especially when it comes to cheering up a truly suicidal person) If I read it right the person herself isn't suicidal, just really tired from helping everyone else. :)
caldius
Whatever you do, I think it should involve a hug :D That's just wrong when combined with the first suggestion on too many levels. I fail to see how a hug is wrong, although I suspect it has something to do with the thread being cleaned. The best way to show your appreciation is with out words, they tend to complicate things and it never seems to come out as good as it sounds in your head. I think a card (an actual paper one) and a hug would be your best bet.
knives669
I agree with Insane. I think your friend deserves a big hug. :) Make her a card or something that just explains how much you appreciate her and everything she's done for you.

Bubsa
I'd go with food. Take her to a nice little place or cook her something yourself. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
assassin_696
Yeah, take her out for a nice meal. Food always cheers me up, and it'll give you a chance to have a chat and help take her mind of it all. deloriagod
Both of these were already mentioned but a hug and some chocolate always seems to cheer girls up. Maybe even a cute stuffed animal. : Internet Marketing For Newbies
Forever_Lona
Thanks guys :D A hug goes without saying of course. Perhaps I'll take her out for a drink sometime. I do like the sapphire ring idea though.. :-k :
Fadfdfd
I agree with Insane. I think your friend deserves a big hug. :) Make her a card or something that just explains how much you appreciate her and everything she's done for you. I like hugs :P I'm a sensitive guy though.. : I bet she'd surely appreciate bringing her to your house for a nice meal. Nothing says "You're awesome" like some nice shrimp cocktail :anxious:
issy2
Maybe even a cute stuffed animal. : We LOVE those things!!! They're friendly, cute, cuddly, special, something to cheer you up and they're not too expensive. Only, of course, deloria, we tend to prefer the fake ones... :( :D
stan18
go ice skating, i know it relieves a lot of stress (for me, at least) and its fun. combine that with good food + big chocolate bar (as previously mentioned) + stuffed animal (as previously mentioned) and you get... happy :D
