about that trebuchet...they are TONS of fun.

 

 

 

for the boy scouts there was a "Catapultary" camp style thing that i went to. my troop didn't exactly build a "trebuchet" persay...was more along the lines of a catapult. we won the longest distance award though :). it was built using really big poles and square and diagonal lashings...very sturdy...very fun. one troop built a HUGE trebuchet...but apparently they didn't do their homework too well as when it swung over the frame it was too top heavy and made the whole thing collapse haha.

Wow, you've invented a super powerful magnifying glass that can burn paper. Hehe I remember seeing it with mythbusters, that was a funny episode when they tried to do it with people each holding a mirror.

 

 

 

Must have been pretty tricky getting all the mirrors to face the right spot
