Featured Replies

Hi, this is my third thread on off topic in the last week. (i love this part of the forums ::' )

but this time it is on the heavier topic of death. i have dealt with many deaths in the past. grand parents, friends, teachers.

i deal with it by talking to my friends, that is why i am always there for them when they need to talk to someone. how do you guys deal with death??

I remind myself that death is just another part of life.

A death in a family always ends up as a nice family reunion. For my family anyway. :-k

The Enrichment Center reminds you that the weighted companion cube will never threaten to stab you and, in fact, cannot speak.

In the event that the weighted companion cube does speak, the Enrichment Center urges you to disregard its advice.

It's sad, but it's a natural part of life, unless it's done intentionally.

Spend a lot of time with your family or people who were close to the person who died. Time and talking with people who feel like you do are the best healers.

get on with my life and not let it hold me back

I remind myself that death is part of life. Everyday is another step toward my own death. We're all going to die, we just have to accept it. I do one unhealthy thing though.. If I have any feelings of sadness I usually bury them inside me and don't let them out for a long time..

well one of my favourite sayings of all time pretty much sum it up for me:

Life is just the dress rehersal for the play which opens to the public when you die.

Oh hell, don't let them drink your tears and want more! Will! Dont let them take your crying, turn it upside down and use it for their own smile! I'll be damned if death wears my saddness for glad rags.

That is a line Charlie Hallowy says in "Something wicked this way comes". I basicly belive the same thing that he is saying. Dont cry and be all sad, you are just creating more sadness in the world. I know the death of a person close to you is very sad, but wouldn't you think they would rather you happy then sad?
