I agree. Last year's event was more festive. This year's event would be better if we could use the snowballs outside of the event. Maybe throw them at each other, or be able to make snow people.

IT is christmassy in its own special [developmentally delayed] way. But last years was so much nicer.

 

 

 

By putting it on the island of karmaja most players that don't read the updates will not know the Christmas thing it gong on. They should have had it off to the side of one of the major islands.

yes snow that would be lovely... what i was gonna say would be FAR TOO much for jagex's liking lol.. I would love it if they put lights or ornaments on all the evergreens and those trees that look like pine trees but are called trees lol Sorry but that would be fun to see trees of RS decorated

This year is worse than last years...don't mean to complain, but it really is. The hats aren't so great, okay, it's ugly inifact. It's gonna be gathering dust in my bank account. The tree is pretty cool, but graphically, it isn't. Allowing us to put it anywhere in our house would be great aswell and maybe a bit larger?

 

 

 

Last year was just awesome, the hats are still worn by players today, the antlers...well, we can say we won't be seeing it much this year or the years after. The tree in Varrock is was just awesome, teleing there to see the tree pop into our view. I even wasted tons of fire/airs to train mage by teleing there, hehe.

 

 

 

I'm not really sure what they could do to make this year better...so I can't really complain. Hey, it's better than nothing! Ummm...new hats or making the antlers look better is good also =p

I don't think any holiday update is gonna be worth any player effort unless it allows us to interact with 'the game' and 'other players' beyond the duration of the event. I.e. the 'rubber chicken'. What a great reward that was!. Compare this to the 'Easter ring'. Fun for a few hours but then everyone has seen it and we all say ' Whatever....'

They should add snow all over runescape, not just karamja. Maybe decorate the bulidings with lights and what not.

i was disappointed with this years christmas event, to me it seemed like it was a bit rushed, i finished it in about 5 minutes, and it shouldn't be that easy. plus there were only 2 items, and 1 of them was for the head. it's about time we got sum santa clothes to match the santa hat or sum spooky coloured clothes - red green and blue for the masks, or maybe sum easter bunny outfits for easter or sum seasonal capes like a santa cape maybe - white an fluffy with red trim and a santa symbol in the middle :uhh:

Absolutely. We all know its Christmas, so all of Runescape should know its Christmas too.

 

 

 

The only problem we are running into here is that not all 'Scapers' are Christian. i.e. where is the Runescape 'Ramadan event'?, the Runescape 'Yom Kippur' event? I'm agnostic so I'm just playing Devil's Advocate here, I don't care which religious event we celebrate, but I DO think that Jagex need to start being aware of the potential ramifications of excluding certain religious groups in this ever-more litigious society.
