I asked about 10 other mates who all played atleast hours a day. Runescape seems to be taken more seriously than real life now, do you agree? I personally find the real life as important as RuneScape. I'm annoyed because RuneScape is laggy. Well, that's my opinion, I take them both as seriously. This winterbreak, I have virutally noone in my neighborhood to talk to, so most of my day is rs. I hate people saying they no life because they play for a while. Like I played most of the day today. Of my three best friends irl, one got his wisdom teeth cut out, and two are on vacation. The only thing to do really is play RS. I don't see what's so bad really, I talk to friends and lots of other people so it's not like I'm spending all day on the computer with myself... So that's how people get lvl 90 in 3 months, i think you people play way to much, go to some parties, have some fun. I have been playing for around,... going on 5 years now, and i'm only lvl 88, i guess that shows you how much i play. i play one or two hours a week, give or take around 20 minutes a day. Yes, people take this game way to seriously, people get so angry about things that happen to them int his game. If JaGeX's server went down for a day or two people fists would fly. It would not be a good day for many addicts. I can easily see this topic being turned into a "how long do you play rs a day" topic so lets try and keep this on on track hey people? Halo2:the progress might stat withyou, but theres noone else to compete with you; your by yourself runescape:when you log out, progress stays with you AND theres other people that you are racing against in levels. However the most I have spent on Runescape in a day was about 6 hours, and that was with atleast 2 breaks. In my opinion thats alright to do every now and again but for example: It is ok for a day...but god I have been playing 10+ hours a day for 2+ months now! I don't think that's healthy when you spend most of your time on a game. You can kid yourself as much as you want and tell yourself you're being social and experiencing life but in reality spending that amount of time on a game away from reality is a little worrying if you consider it in the scheme of things. Anyway where do you guys have the time to play that much? I have so much work to do for my exams etc that I don't have as much time to play. Also what do your parents think of you spending that time on the computer. When I used to play Runescape alot (like 4 years ago) my mother used to always oppose me going on so much. yomom1919 Posted December 22, 2006 Share Posted December 22, 2006 i dont think people take the game seriously so they play 10 hours i a day, rather that people play 10 hours a day so they take the game seriously. think about it this way: runescape, in alot of your oppinions, is much more fun than about 80% of other things you could be doing, so you play for a while. now that youve played for so long, you cant help starting to care about what youv'e spent so long on.
