I'm definetly still in. I'll give an update just before I start shading and highlighting.

hey, i eally like this, the shark is cool, but where i think yours fails is in the stance of the character. look at shaw's, attacking the beast in a jump. while yours pales in comparison IMO. other than that stance, you have a chance against shaw in my book ;)

just a tip, something i noticed, you added texture to the water. waves i see them as. but if they were waves, they would be bigger the closer they are. if you could do some realistic waves, that would really add a depth feeling to your sig. i think yours has potential, too. just try to make that sun rounder ;D

Lol @ Korla, Ya that sun gets on my nerves, and i see what you mean about those "waves" they're not necicarily wave but i think i know what you mean :?

I didn't reply yet...so here i am. I'm 99% out of this for 2 simple reasons.

 

 

 

1) I don't have that much time to make sigs left...so i'm finishing my closest friends on my queue first (Getting assured profit, even if lil smaller than those 2 juicy mils).

 

 

 

2) I don't realy work in such conditions. Let me explain my point...

 

 

 

14 people making the same thing (only difference is angle, if we'r lucky, and tecnique...ok) sharing their WIPs so that all the best ideas can get copied ? nahh...i see a 2 narrow space for creativity in this contest so i kinda skip it. I personaly love Banana's one. And actualy...all those sharks...pure outlined pics for 80% of them...come on

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

However i wanna thank Smellysocks for the kind invitation and for the good pms i got from him. In other conditions i would have made you a sig for sure. Hope you realy get what you'r looking for.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A suggestion...since there's a lot of submitters and , imo, 2 mils for a sig n which u simply follow guidelines are a bit of a waste...i think it could be better and well accepted by every1 to split the 2 mils so that 2nd and 3rd place get a bit of it since there's at least 3 artists that will bring something nice to your eyes.

Heh, mine looks wierd because i actually did do it from scratch..though it would have helped if i had prior exp. drawing sharks in rl :roll: (also, sry but im glad your not in lol no hard feelings, but i dont believe any of us want to gewt pwned by u...except maybe Smelly' :twisted: )

Hey i didnt trace mine, i actually drew it with no picture to lookd at and scanned it. :evil: . Blazer used a pic of the web, but he already admit to that, so thats out.

You may think mine is outlined but it's not. I just found this cool pic of this shark in the national geographic mag so I used it as a guidline for my shark (I don't know how sharks look off by heart :P ). It was actually smaller and less menacing.

Your sig is actualy the 2nd in my personal chart due to originality of the setting. And well...a bit more advanced drawing (compared to other challangers here) might have helped as well as the ability to use the round shape tool properly :roll: . Still very nice work, wish you best luck :)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

However the outline or not is not a big problem, the same thing is if u worked on a real pic stressing your drawing to reality, what i meant is that those sharks are way 2 similar to JAWS ones...and , that's just my point of view maybe... but totaly look out of place compared to the style of the rest of the sig....

its very nice shading but somethings like shark bigger gills and nostrils and my rune legs need caps on the knees thats about it but so far really good\

Lol, just HAD to say it, it looks like the shark is sorta laughing! or some sorta DUMB face, i mean, i might be wrong, but then again, i am pretty stupid lol, that is my opinion, but i does! lol sorry if no one else thiks this :lol:

If you're trying to suggest I copied you, you have a serious brain leak.

God Slayer, one thing I noticed about your sig is your guy seems to be able to fly he is so far off the dock. When I first say your outline I thought that it was gonna a closer view with the shark being huge and the dock being a lot closer. Well that and your face looks kinda wierd.
