De_Lille_D
Simple question. What tree should i cut to get the fastest wood cutting exp per hour? Remember, it's not because a tree gives more exp per log, that it is indeed faster, because you get the logs slower. I'll count the votes: Normal: Oak: 4 Willow: 13 Maple: 1 Yew: Magic (hypothetical, I don't have 75 wc): Beginning to think willows are everyone's favorite ... OK, oaks are gaining on willows ... Willows are way ahead of all other woods, so I think I'll stick to that. RSN: De Lille D [P2P]- Visit my Advanced Farming Route Guide -
Intriguing
I would assume oaks or willows are the way to go. Cool.
ninjai07
Willows in Draynor Village is by far the fastest exp.
Foooman
Willows just west of catherby are better imo; less crowded = more gooder
ddaanniiellh
overall, i think the only reason why willows has faster xp is because it has a cluster of trees (draynor) thats close to a bank, but i think that if it is possible to find a cluster of oaks close to a bank, it would definitely be faster xp. Especially cause you get oaks about 2x faster than oaks and they give more than 50% of willows xp. So I have to say oaks has the fastest xp, if you had the same situation (number of trees together at a similar distance from a drop off place) ~Ddaanniiellh : 1437 : 173Lowest Combat to 1,000 Total in F2P (23 Combat)Check me out on YouTube! Jake_Corsair
Willows, that's what I used to 99 wcing. I tried a few of the higher xp trees, and the only thing that came close were Teak trees. But, like ddaann said, the problem comes with proximity to bank. Teak trees don't have any close to bank like willows. So you either burn or drop them, which cuts into your xp per hour. On willows, if I turned chat off and just woodcut, I could get around 50k xp/hour If Jagex ever made a perfect update, there would be players complaining about nothing to complain about.[hide=My Stats][/hide]

hawkwing221
Definitely willows. Closer to the bank. I united Mongolia, sent my Mongol Horde across Asia and made it to Europe... Then my mom vacuumed the room, turned off the Genesis and thus ended my hopes of world conquest.
Lord_of_the_Istari
I would say that willows are typically the better exp. But since theyre always crowded at draynor on all F2P worlds i would recomend oaks. There is a nice 3 cluster just southwest of varrock west bank thats usually disertted (sp?). Intriguing
The oaks at castle wars are pretty close to the bank. Maybe an extra 2 seconds as opposed to willows at Draynor. Plus, don't oaks sell for more? Cool.

Nabbagad
Yes Willows are the fastest, and i heard that some of the top wc'ers get their xp from willows. overall, i think the only reason why willows has faster xp is because it has a cluster of trees (draynor) thats close to a bank, but i think that if it is possible to find a cluster of oaks close to a bank, it would definitely be faster xp. zaquierming
Willows, by far. Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-I took the one less traveled by,And that has made all the difference.
