So let me calculate. 1,000,000 times $5/month = $5,000,000 $5,000,000 times 12 months = $60,000,000/year. And as they add more servers, they get more members, new members, and yeah. They would sell it if they got the right amount of money. If it did get sold it would go one of two ways it would be a success and it would become huge or it would flop downhill. That's no different from how it could go now, isn't it? Besides, they wouldn't touch discontinued items because they'd find out (as jagex did) that it'd cost more money than it's worth, will all the pissed of players that quit because they ended up losing millions of game money. mad4beanies Posted January 3, 2007 Share Posted January 3, 2007 it says that they met the company around the release of rs2 when " it was going down hill" well, yeah it did, i quit rs for a year cause rs2 graphics were horrible. but now it's at one of the strongest points it's ever had, I very much doubt it will be sold until there is no support, or andrew and paul are old and grey. orao8 Posted January 3, 2007 Share Posted January 3, 2007 They will sell it but after 3-4 years maybe.Just look at f2p(scamers,autores,lures,ect.)they do nothing to stop them.So many ideas to stop them but they dont acept them.About p2p.There is planty games with better graphic which doesnt need to pay.Now is new game MOO which doesnt need to pay anything and it has better graphic like 100 times then Runescape.only thing to play is to download it,and people has more beter and better internet so they can download big things,When on Runescape main page says :"210000 people play" actualy that mean 110000 people plays,other is autores,they sistem is bad and need to be updated.They need to conect thers servers.They dont cear about us,they cear about money they recive,and after they stop reacviring money they will sell it to other company and made new MOO Always buying something. I think they do need feedback and they do need a few things to improved, but I'm not going to come out and say how terrible the game is because that just isn't true. Yes, i can say that the amount of scammers, autoers and just generally rude people is too high (ie. greater than 1), and people probably will leave the game if it gets higher but that time hasn't really come yet. Getting rid of these people is actually a fairly hard task (doing things like employing 1000 more mods just isn't feasible). But obviously they keep enough people happy that they arn't quiting their memberships by the thousands (it's not exactly cocane either). Is there something on the horizon that they can see or predict. Runescape alone makes $50 million dollars US in Annual revenue.
