January 9, 200719 yr Cotton tips are fine. Just lubricate the head with warm water and BE GENTLE!!! All the cases of injury have been from people pushing them too far in and bursting the eardrum. Lightly rotate the Q-Tip. Use Ear Cleaner to loosen it up. My heart is broken by the terrible loss I have sustained in my old friends and companions and my poor soldiers. I think there's an old saying... never put anything smaller than your elbow in your ear... i mean c'mon... you'd look pretty stupid trying to fit your elbow in your ear... right? January 10, 200719 yr I am quite surprised with the number of people who frequently clean their ears. I have not done it for at least 5 years if not longer. It is just something I have never done and my ears are fine. There is no build up of wax or anything. Did it a few times when I was a kid but not frequently.

January 10, 200719 yr don't clean your ears with cotton bud Don't stick your cotton bud too far < there was once a period I clean my ear every 2 weeks. No accident happens. in fact, this is the first time i heard someone have acident with cotton buds. just soak your cotton bud in luke-warm water to soften the wax and stick it in your ear and spin it. ear infection: don't stick your finger in your ear
