It's impossible. Not everyone would be willing to sell theirs, for any price. Some just like phats and rares that much.

It's given that if rs exists in 12-20 years they will not be there no more.

I think 10 years is a little too much for the prediction of rares to be gone.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I'm predicting in less than 5 years, there will be less than 50 of each party hat. Would be interesting to see how many party hats exist in runescape at the moment.

I don't think RS will be around for 5 more years.

Yeah, I think the majority of losses are either due to the following reasons...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

1. Players with rares quits the game.

 

 

 

2. Accidental alching

 

 

 

3. Deliberate destruction of item (there are people who do this in an attempt to get rid of them altogether)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I remember ages ago there was a group of these people that would alch every rare they found. Sure they lost some major amount of cash but made an increase on their value ^^.

I honestly think that cpu geeks are gonna find a way to dupe them again.

Erm, that is just a brilliant observation.

crackers might. But there really are ALOT of phats left. Daily people win or lose hundreds of all colours at the duel arena and thats not to mention those who just dont use theirs ever or would never stake them. My guess would be that there are several thousand phats left at least. Santas, i have no idea how many there are but there must be well over 10 thousand. Masks are likewise.

i see alot of people runnign about in them, and i see alot of people with between 10 and 100 santas in their banks. Either way, even if there are only 2000 left, that is nowhere close to running out any time soon

believe it or not this is more likely than you might think. One of my rl friends played runescape since almost 2001, he acquired a yellow p hat, a mask set, and two santas in his time playing. But in the end, he began to hate runescape for what it made him, he was overweight, had never had a gf (he was 16.) So despite my pleadings for him to give me the items, he went into a dark corner of isafdar at 2 am, and dropped every thing of value.

Runescape doesn't make you overweight. You being poor with your managing of playing runescape makes you overweight. I play runescape regularly but I play a sport so I manage to stay healthy.

meh there is technically a way that phat prices can go down, if every1 pops ther ecrackers, i'd say at least another 500+ phats ar ein the game and baboosh! hello price drops of 50 or so mil.

 

 

I don't think rares will die out. One is some people back in 2001 made about 1,000 copies or something. Only way then can probally get rid of them is dropping them in 50 wilderness and wait til they disappear or alch them. Either way, no. Yes it is possible but you will need rougly 20 years at best.

Actually, people found a way to duplicate items a while back, and the secret leaked out eventually. Jagex offered lifetime membership or something to the person who told them how to do it, and the person who did got banned.
