Haha. i123i
Well to listen to I like rap and even MC's still have better wordplay then "I too kyo girl I'ma shoot you and then I'll buy 20 cars and still have 20m from drug dealing", don't get me wrong rap is my genre but that's mostly what they say watered down. I still like it but I enjoy more the tracks that aren't all about that. More like artists such as The Clipse, Lil Wayne(I know but, meh, 985 and 504 f00lz plus he has a college education so his words are cooler), ect.. DoomBr1nger
To me, it doesn't make a difference in either of them, because like everyone has said, all the new Rap is really bad, apart from a few songs here and there... I think the only thing these new artists/songs are good for are dancing  But for some reason, I'm a sucker for R&B, like Joe, Musiq, Ne-Yo, Chris Brown (somewhat), some of R. Kelly's songs, Pretty Ricky, and female and R&bists in general. But that's just me, and I also listen to rock and other stuff, so if you don't listen to this, it's okay I guess... ^Yeah, I'm a guy...http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=583933Proud QUEST CAPE OWNER!Feel free to HYT! Unrealevil
How is MC more from the 'white community'? I don't like either of them usually, but I love a French rapper named MC Solaar. But I don't really understand the difference, so I couldn't say.
Chocobodude0
I want to get that album, it looks good. Nas is one of the greatest. But as for it being dead, I wouldn't go to that extent. I just think it's a very low point. The 90's was the best point in rap. Tupac, Biggie, Eminem, Nas, Wu-Tang Clan(who released the greatest rap album ever), Dr. Dre, Mobb Deep, Jay-Z(even though I don't particularly like him, I must give him credit.) The only rapper I would call good nowadays is The Game You reckon 36 chambers is the best ever? Its good but Id have to go with Illmatic, its pretty much a flawless hip hop album. I do agree that hip hop isnt dead I was exagerating a bit but theres definately been a big downturn in quality. Are you kidding? 36 Chambers was great, it didn't have 1 bad track. It's my favorite album, and Illmatic only had around 8 songs I believe... But anyway, between rap and MC, I can't choose. There's a lot of grey in that area, and I like certain kinds of both. But I totally agree about what has happened to rap/hip-hop, it has been destroyed by all the lil's and young's out there. I DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR CADDYS, YOUR DRUGS, OR HOW MANY WOMEN YOU BLANTANTLY DISREGARD, GO SHRIVEL AND DIE. Our only hope is Wu-Tang's next album, 8 diagrams.... Kwisatz
Alrighty. The MC was originally the Master of Ceremonies, the man behind the mic that gave life to street parties in Jamaica and New York City (with the likes of DJ Kool Herc). The MC eventually evolved into a fast-talking, rhyming "rapper" that rapped over Jamaican Dub or sampled breakbeats. This fusion hit the mainstream as hip-hop, commercialized, allied with Aerosmith to make a terrible single, got on MTV, then keeled over and died as the truly controversial representatives of the Golden Age got shot, retired, or sold out, and the original East Coast rappers stopped appealing to the hardcore G's that liked the harder Western variety of rap and got their own shows on VH1. End of story. An MC is a "master of ceremonies" in the strictest, most traditional sense. Classically-speaking (late 1970s into the 80s) he was a rhymin' BEAST. Now we have some sort of odd distinction. My vote - Run-DMC could beat them all up. RIP Jam Master Jay. And what the f*ck is with all the skits and intros in rap nowadays? I downloaded the Three 6 Mafia album because my friend recommended it and I liked it just a bit. But what's with all these fabricated stories and cheap jokes on a MUSIC CD? Further degradation of the genre, that's what. handed me TWO tissues to clear up. Further degradation of the genre, that's what. I think it's just filler in a way, in a store when your looking at the back of a CD it's better for a potential customer to see more tracks - it gives the illusion of value for money. Of course you don't know how many of them are skits/intro's/outro's untill you get home & listen which is too late obviously. justin_m23
eh, i used to be a huge fan of rap. But its all the same crap. Seriously rap was ruined as soon as people thought they could get rich from it. Its all the same generic crap, the new and old stuff. I'm going to make a bold statement and say biggie smalls and 2pac sucked. they had a few decent songs, but all in all, they were terrible.
