What real life lessons will you take from runescape?

Featured Replies

I was wondering when everything is done and finished, (i.e. you quit the game) want kind of real life lessons have you learnt from runescape?

I have learnt that I can trust someone who I have never truly met, with something that has taken me hundreds of hours to obtain. If you had asked me hat before I had played runescape I would have said never.

Also I have learnt that something you work hard for, you will appreciate and enjoy a lot more than something you got for free.

Anyone else?

nothing

Lamest attempt at a lure ever.
No, Ive seen "selling easter egg 5m must be level 78 77 or 76 and meet at varrock bar unarmed.

My lessons are more practical than anything. I've learned a lot about economics from RS, how to identify and avoid when people are trying to rip you off, and other little money lessons I can apply to the real world.

There are others, but I can't think of them at the moment. One thing I haven't learned is how to improve my short term memory.

If you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.

Uhh...not much...

Maybe some information I got from the game, more experiences.

I learned that some people hide under a mask and only when the time is right, they take them off and show their greed.

General work ethic and peddling skills. The most amusing one being as follows:

People will pay their life savings for worthless trash, as long as it is rare enough, and lends enough status to their minds.

I have only learnt one thing:

- Patience and perserverance are the keys to success.

- The economic theory of supply and demand is worthless due to pricing double standards (RE: F2P and P2P). Hence, theories are severely limited in their practicality.

- Money only has true value if you have righteously earned it through hard work (the monetary value of your wealth isn't important - how you earned it and how long it took is more valuable... I think.).

There's alot of jerks in the world.

Quit RuneScape :)

No I mean trusting someone who i've never met in real life. Someone i've only know in the game.

I must say, I've learned many new words that has benefited my reading abilities :D Also, RuneScape has taught me a lot about economy, aswell as many life lessons that are unlistable in their plentiful-ness.

The fact im not scared to die anymore because i will respawn in a city

Your name is "bet you fail", and you're starting a business with your mom? I'm not even going to touch that.....
