Hardcore bands: SLAYER Rage against the machine GWAR Munisical Waist Megadeth Thats REAL thrash for you. First, there is a huge difference between Hardcore and Thrash, so that automatically makes the majority of your post pointless. Second, they didn't even ask for any Thrash bands. Third, RATM are Thrash?... Hell no. Other than that, couple of good bands mentioned, although the majority are pretty mainstream anyway. Nadril
I'd quote clown, but wow... Most of those aren't even heavy. Agalloch, for example, is doom metal at its best. It isn't pounding heavy fast rifts like the guy wants. Same as a lot of the stuff there. Oh well, its a good playlist but not all of it is what he wanted. Clown
I want some music that gets the blood rushing and the adrenaline pumping. If that stuff doesn't do that, then what does? Limpbizkit: You're the one with the name limbbizkid, and they sure arn't heavy, + they really suck at making music. As for you Nadril, I'm almost amused that someone with your apparent intelligence is on this forum at all. Go ahead, give me a dictionary definition for heavy, it means nothing to me. He wanted good music, and I gave it to him. If I only let the really heaving bands be on my playlists, there'd be, what, 10 bands that fit your standards? I could say Led Zeppelin were metal, even when they arn't, but they pioneered the sound. Oh, and as a last comment, that avatar looks downright bad. What is it, some hobo? I'm disappointed. ~
Nadril
Actualy Black Sabbath is generaly considered the first metal band but you are right, Led Zepplin was an influence to eary bands. That doesn't, however, mean they are metal. I was simply trying to help clarify that some of the bands might not be what he wanted. You don't need to get angry its nothing personal. Oh, and about the avatar: You haven't been around here long enough to understand it and I really don't feel like explaining.
Poopingman
The problem here is the term "heavy" varies from person to person. Metal fans, check out my band!Still the King....
whitedwarf99
i thought we were trying to reccomand soem music to this guy, not start a fight over the whole concept of metal and other types of music like that. anyway, the basic point is, you define music yourself everyone defines what is and isnt metal in their own way. i would say led zepp where the first metal band, others would disagree, its all and opinion.
