February 2, 200719 yr Author Well, I think my thead is going to be locked, so I think that I am going to give up. I tried. The reason it is being locked is becuase I was sending messages to people about it...I honestly, will do anything for this cause : I hope that everyone will learn about it.. Sorry if I was ever mean/nasty to you  Well, good luck, *tear* lol. I hope it dosent get locked, but this is just in case. P.S. This was my Letter: "There Is no Greater tragety on this earth, than the one that is unfolding in the Sudan" Please forgive spelling mistakes... Well, obvuisly, you can get people to do things. I was wondering if you could somehow help me. I am not sure that you do this type of thing, but it would be very nice. I am not sure that you know what is going on in Sudan..Mass Genocide, in fact, the worst since World War 2. I need people to know about this, it causes a stir, which causes people to do something. I don't know if you know this feeling, but it's a feeling that keeps stabing you in the side, asking you to help, I am feeling that for these people. If somehow you could talk about it with friends, I would honestly be SOO greatfull. People say to me "What are you doing, by doing this your doing nothing.." I like to think that maybe I am helping people. My post link is http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=607351 Please consider it.. Your friend, Andrew It was orginally meant for zezima, what a dream lol. But then I started to send it to people on the fourms, that were important, but it makes me relized, I should send it to everyone, becuase everyone can make a diffrence in this. But I guess I went over board on it. Well, bye.
February 2, 200719 yr The thread is ok; But you sent the PM to quite a lot of people which kind of constitutes as spam (despite you having no malicious intent)... The thread itself generates some awareness of the issue for the readers, so I think there's no need to send out multiple private messages 8-)

(No offence :P ) Not saying that anything should be done...eg. warning...that's bot mods/admins to decide, but I dont think your thread should be punished at all :) ~ Clicky for the blog of No Cb Skils ~
February 2, 200719 yr Author I would hope that someone would take responsibility of the thread, I am going to be watched now! :ohnoes:  Edit: Am I really BlueLancer, and what did they say?
February 2, 200719 yr Author I am starting a new thing called Fact of the Night: 80 infants die each day in Darfur as a result of malnutrition
February 2, 200719 yr I think they need to take care of their own problem. If they are being slaughtered then they have nothing to lose by stepping up to the plate. We don't need to go in there and lose our own men and women. I'm not going to say anything else since I'm not a nice person. Rose

I think it's kinda hard to step up to the plate if you get killed, I really don't think I would.

February 3, 200719 yr Cease Fire would be nice, I think I acutally aggree with pault here(strange) Eh? , we don't need guns. I have noticed a lot of us in western culture have a tendency to look at people in places like the Sudan as these helpless Africans that need us to come take care of them and that they are so different than we are. I find myself wishing them well while in doing so not respecting them as equals sometimes. It is an easy trap to fall into with the way our media portrays the continent of Africa. Kinda like they are children that we the west needs to make sure we take care of. Those people in the Sudan are not that different than us. They work. They have families. They have dreams and hopes and desires like us. They care and love and plan the same as we do. When I ask myself if I was in that situation what would I do or what would I think it helps me analyze the situation a lot better. If I was in the Sudan and I had a family and children I would want their safety to be first on my priority list. If I knew people were out to exterminate me and people like me then I would be doing anything possible to obtain means to protect myself. That means I would want guns. I would also want everyone like me that just wanted to live their lives to have guns as well so they could defend themselves. Then I would organize into armed groups for each neighborhood so that if our neighborhood was attacked by a group of killers we could band together and protect our families. Parents have a responsibility to protect their children. Men have a responsibility to protect their wife. Why deny a person the right to a gun if having that gun would allow them to live up to their responsibility and prevent more death? I can guarantee you that a death squad would think twice about attacking a town that was bristling with AK-47's when there was an undefended town down the road they could attack instead. Once again this would be what I would want and I only see it as being fair to give Sudanese people the same thing I would want for myself. For people saying they don't think giving guns to the victims is the answer... If you were in the Sudan and had a family would you want a gun to protect yourself?

Rose yes, that might be true for a country 200 years ago, but now, with aids and other diseases killing many, and now they have GUNS, you cant really expect for it to turn out well. this is an amazing post, i like to see people taking a stand for what the believe in. the only thing wrong with it is the fact that this is the United Nations JOB to take care of things like this, not the united states. if the us went in country, the media would have a field day, saying" BUSCH IS CRAZY, IMPEACH HIM!" and the like. this is the media right, but the public would go against busch too, then, the US is screwed. we would probably send aid if the UN dids its jobs. but until all the european wussy countries get off thier buts and decide to actually see this for what it is, a genocide(which BY LAW they are required to intervene) nothing will be done. of course, you could raise a few million dollars and hire a mercenary group to go in and clean up, that would be the best appraoch, in my opinion. Say what you mean and mean what you say because those that matter don't mind, and those that mind don't matter.
February 3, 200719 yr This has to stop. Noone on earth deserves these kinds of situations. Even if its not our countrie. What if you were them. Something needs to be done. I support this through and through. You can't ever find a place that's nice and peaceful, because there isn't any. You may think there is, but once you get there, when you're not looking, somebody'll sneak up and write "(bleep) you" right under your nose. Try it sometime. I think, even, if I ever die, and they stick me in a cemetery, and I have a tombstone and all, it'll say "Holden Caulfield" on it, and then what year I was born and what year I died, and then right under that it'll say "(bleep) you."
February 3, 200719 yr Author Fact of the Night: The spark of genocide acutally started with a women named "Alice" who had a demon inside of her, and told her to overthrow the goverment, and as they say, the rest IS history.
February 3, 200719 yr What I mean is that there needs to be peace talks, before someone storms in with a army. Correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't it gone beyond the point where the presence of a foreign (supposesdly) glorious western army would actually be a bad thing! I think the Sudanese refugees would want the US or a European Army to defend them! @ Ambassador, I couldn't agree more. It's actually censored in this country to take a picture/vidoe of a homeless, destitute man. Yet while we impose these laws to protect our own people, it seems somewhat acceptable to go and film a picture of a poor starving African girl crawling with flies, depicting them in a lower light. Well... I have one thing to say, welcome to Democracy, which comes with the handy package of Free Media! | Favourite Game Music | Last.fm | HYT Friend Chat Rules |

February 3, 200719 yr In the US, you have the right to freedom of speech, so long as you don't cause slander. In the UK, press censorship is controlled partly by the state, and partly by the state-funded British Broadcasting Cooperation. Thus, we don't have FULL freedom of speech. | Favourite Game Music | Last.fm | HYT Friend Chat Rules |
February 3, 200719 yr hmm, i didnt know europe was like that, hmmm, guess you might call it a imperialistic hangover? :P edit: oops, off topic  Say what you mean and mean what you say because those that matter don't mind, and those that mind don't matter.
February 3, 200719 yr agreed with None2None, btw none, have you watched the vid?Yea, I watched the whole thing front to back. I was partially informed on the issue beforehand, but haden't seen the video. It was pretty cool, seeing how thoes 3 (students?) changed from the begining to the end. :) And on the topic of guns being used or not? It would be absolutely great if they didn't have to be used, but, I'm sorry to say, I believe it is beyond diplomacy. I think force is the only way now that they have gone this far. Keep in mind, the rebels see it as a religious rebelion, and thoes arn't as easy to crush with words, or even guns. ~ Clicky for the blog of No Cb Skils ~
February 3, 200719 yr Just finished the vid, and I have lots of questions! :P What is it with Sudan? The video took place in Northern Uganda, did they even go to Sudan? Is their a connection between the Janjyaweed(sp?) and the Rebels? What are the Ugandan and Sudanese governments doing about this? So, there is a guy (in Uganda), Joseph, who abducts children to create an army to overthrow Uganda's government? Again, where is Sudan, it's all Uganda. Was Uganda (and Sudan's) governments bad before? What is the back story, why did these people want to overthrow it? So this Joseph guy, he's becoming his enemy? Instead of taking out the government to free his people, he is killing his people? I don't get this, elaborate please. Anyways, I think I'm changing my sig to an Uganda flag. Me doing staff.
February 3, 200719 yr The LRA (Lord's Resistance Army) conflict is in northern Uganda and southern Sudan :) Joseph started an uprising of children because they are easily brainwashed and make good loyal soldiers, he also made a 'religion' or 'cult' out of his cause claiming that he was God...or something along the lines of that...I forget exactly. ~ Clicky for the blog of No Cb Skils ~

February 3, 200719 yr Author Which could be said for World War One and Two aswell. However we should have more decency to step in when people are suffering i would have thought. We put ourselves in those childrens shoes. Fearful a lot of the time that they will be kidnapped and murdered, raped, shot, tortured and so on. They deserve our help just as every human being does. My assumption then, is that you support any military action that stops a race of people from having mass genocide being committed against them purely because of their ethnicity? I support any militay action that stops any genocide for any reason. No race deserves to be wiped off the face of the Earth.. I think that this basically sms up what I think.
