dwarfdude3 Posted February 3, 2007 Share Posted February 3, 2007 Harry won't die. I'm quite sure of that. The series does have a sacrificial theme to it, but it is not Harry making the sacrificices. I'm thinking Snape will redeem himself and possibly sacrifice himself for Harry, but that would be too much like Tale of Two Cities. And then theres still Wormtail, he will probably have a role as well. I think it is a distinct possibillity that Dumbledore will be back in some form, just to point Harry in the right direction. And even though I know there is like no chance of it happening, I really hope Ron gets killed off so he can't marry Hermione. Why? why what? I have to agree with you about Snape and Voldy dying. I'm not sure about the Snape sacrificing himself though. Anyway, I don't think it's Harry and Voldemort because Snape can't survive. This means there could very well be more than 2 people who will die (actually, I don't doubt that). Snape is bound to die. Oh my bleeding heart... he will probably redeem himself (never really left the so-called 'good' side). But there is no life for him after the defeat of Voldemort. No family, no loved ones, no goal. Snape's death would be one of the last steps of Harry's growth into a man. Accidentally, this is the theme of the books, in case you hadn't noticed. Harry will have to deal with the fact that his stubborn prejudice got in the way of his sense. The guilt, and dealing with it, will complete his road to manhood. Voldemort will die. Wormtail will die. One of the Weasley's will die. I also wonder what will happen to Percy. Harry and Ginny will get married. Hermione and Ron will get married (ugh). In all of this "Snape is oh so good" discussions, people seem to miss out on the fact that no matter whose side he is on, he has done some pretty awful stuff. That is his tragedy... and he will have to 'pay'. I'm sure that's how he himself would feel... remember the look of disgust when he kills Dumbledore? The guy has some serious self-loathing issues. On the contrary, I believe Harry will save Malfoy's life at one point just as James had saved Snape. I like to think that Snape, Voldemort, Wormtail, and Bellatrix Lestrange will die. Not certain though- ANYTHING can happen. I think there's an analogy between Snape and Malfoy. Malfoy is on the brink of making the decision to be a death eater at the same age when Malfoy did. Snape did the wrong thing: there was no one to stop him, Malfoy will do the right: Snape looks after him. I don't believe Draco will become a death eater. He might redeem himself and live, whereas Snape redeems himself and dies. Ahhhh the theories... I'll miss all this quessing and the anticipation once book 7 comes out...
