i am suggesting a random event on a f2p server that would give the f2p a whip chance of getting the random. i am then giving them a dragon chain body chance of getting the decent stuff. i am then suggesting that it is made untradable, and that whatever spells that are gained give a magical drain, thus counteracting whatever advantages that mages will gain from this. i am then suggesting that p2p can get the same event for 1/8 of the normal random chance. this should counteract your moaning

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Suggestion is a armour set that has defensive ability equal to the iron chain+legs+square shield set! if this is overpowered, note that there is a small magic disadvantage, and it also comes with a weight equal to a chompy bird

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

this suggestion also includes a spell tablet addition. it requires 20 ranged to use these tablets on a f2p server, thus meaning that mage pures/non hybrids will miss out

 

 

 

the tablets available range from the humble air strike to the mighty wind wave! the tablets require half of the normal mage lvl to use, and do not include non-combat spells.

the event happens ONLY when you kill a lvl20 dark wizard. it involves a 'Spirit' which has a magic/melee based attack with can attack from 5 spaces away. it has evil chicken like stats BUT doesn't disappear

 

 

 

the rewards that are given are described in the list above

In f2p the only real thing mage is used for is pking. And with the rarity of these robes, everyone would be afraid of losing them, so they would rarely be used. Maybe a way to obtain them for free after you've gotten them once? :-k

I'm having trouble following this thread, you were talking about f2p mage robes, something about tablets and d-chains, and then someone says something about a chompy bird!? What the heck is going on?????

Whip's chance, whip's chance. Tbh, that doesn't mean too much to me. The drop rate of whips by abyssal demons, now that's something I can understand.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

"D-chain's chance" makes even less sense, since there are different drop rates for the chain, depending on the monster in question. KQ and Dust Devils, for example.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I have a sneaking suspicion that I wouldn't support what you're suggesting, but I'll leave that door open for the moment, because I'm still having difficulty absorbing it. Perhaps less comparisons would help - it's rather irritating to wade through, "it's like this with a bit of that and this other thing", as opposed to, "it gives +60 to strength bonus, weighs 32kg". That might just be my preference, though.
