November 16, 200817 yr I'm somewhat glad this update doesn't offer much of an expansion. I joined post BC so I'm looking to catch up, maybe raise a second toon to 70. It's always good to give players nothing to do. :) Unless they bug the bosses like in bc then it aint going to take long at all. These are entry elevl encounters and for guilds that just cleared sunwell with M'uru, a boss which is pretty much acknowledged as the most finely tuned and most difficult boss ever made and then to come to naxxramus with a bunch of retuned bosses for 25 people, its going to be a walk in the park.If you think about it it took longer to kill m'uru (4 days) than it did to level to 80 and beat wrath in its current state...As far as i know and what ive read from guilds who just after coming out off naxx and fighting gruul who was so bugged he was unkillable,it was an artificial "unintentional" roadblock. Pathetic, no Worrying, yes What i have a problem is that there isnt enough of them.2 of the raid dunegons being single boss dungeons, i would like to hear what ulduar is, how many bosses and how much of a difficulty upgrade it is from the previous raid zones. I've never looked at the raids they've offered in WoTLK, and of course this news doesn't really effect me since I would never raid again. However I do think that "pathetic" is the wrong word, I just meant that it is kind of sad that WoTLK is that easy. I mean, I guess that blizzard is trying to send out the message that they are making it more and more casual friendly, and really aiming for that market. I agree with the casual theory but i think that there becomes a point where it just isnt casual freindly anymore, i dont think 25 man raids are casual freindly unless its obscenely easy and can be pugged.Just the time investment means you have to be dedicated to the game...but still its way more casual, when i was at 70 and we went into BWL it was still pretty hard, those encounters still offered a challenge, i dont think we will see challenging content till the next content patch with ulduar.
November 16, 200817 yr Ding'd 64 last night, decided to respec to Holy because Jesus Christ there is no goddamn healers on our server. All Oceanic Servers locked, got into mine on a 500-person queue. Healed through Ramps, BF and Slave Pens tonight, got some pretty sweet healer loot. sleep like dead men wake up like dead men
November 16, 200817 yr Havent ebeen able to play today, subscription ran out and i dont have any money on my bank account...so tommorow when the bank finally opens again i can resubscribe. Just means insane will be on the same footing as me :o
November 16, 200817 yr I'm actually pleased about the news that Nihilum/SK have completed all the raid instances already. It means that even I have a chance to see all the raid content, which has always been out of the question. I don't really understand why it always has to be the most hardcore-no-lifers that get to see 3/4 of the content? I also don't see what's wrong with casual friendly; I'm more worried about the people taking a computer game this seriously. Also ding 71, and the Death Knight quest chain was absolutely badass.

I guess I just figured that the 10 man would be "casual" and 25 man would be the more difficult content. Nothing entirely wrong with the game being built around casual gameplay, but then again I think there is a large difference between hardcore gaming and just difficult encounters. Make content more assessable, in the form of 10 mans. But don't nerf the content so it's easy. Than again I should really just stay out of this since it doesn't even pertain to me. I don't even like PvE anymore.
November 16, 200817 yr They made PvE for casuals so they can see all content, then they added achievements for the clinically insane such as NiSKilum. The semi-core raiders such as myself are the ones who are in the deep end again, they really want the achievement but just miss out. :( I'm now 1 bar from 73 on my mage. I love the class trainer in Dalaran! Too bad I can't respec there. Done all Borean Tundra achievements (Exploration, DEHTA, 150/150 quests) and have moved into Dragonblight. It looks cool but the quests look quite dispersed. Click my signature for my blog!
November 16, 200817 yr I think the notion of hardcore gameplay is something that deserves a thread to debate over. Does anyone care whether they are better than them because its hardcore...At least in MMO's its will over skill. There is some degree of skill but you can perservere spending endless hours on getting a piece of gear or killing a raidboss which then makes the game less difficult for you because youve gained a distinct advantage. Also the fact that MMO's are still about RNG, cooldowns and a subtle turn based system of ability times (ie cast times on a spell) make it difficult to decide whether they truly are skillful, yet i still think that it takes "skill" and knowledge to work out a strategy with teh abilities you have, so im conflicted.Maybe its just how much of a skill based activity you deem it, micromanaging in starcraft or accuracy in counterstrike tehres a lot of ways you could take it. EDIT:Although like other people on the interweb, people seek great pleasure from a beating, whether it be from a boss or:-#
November 16, 200817 yr Any hunters care to shed some light? At the moment i currently have 2 pets The Rake - Cat, for instancing and DPSing etc. Gorilla - For soloing, questing etc. I was wondering what sort of pet to use for PVPing? I mean my cat pulls off some good DPS but not sure its the right pet to use in battlegrounds. Also, dinged 40, aiming for 70 by christmas cause i think my parents have bought me WotLK :D Deviant Art Account2 Signatures | 6 Photographs | 1 Other

Oh it wasn't directed at you personally, just a lot of people (mostly hardcore players, naturally) acts like WoW is now seriously ruined. A fact they seem to be too hard-headed to comprehend though, is that the guys of Nihilum/SK spent weeks in the beta clearing the raids, memorising all the fights, and basically perfecting the art of downing all these bosses. Then people are [bleep]ing that they're able to do them after 3 days. I mean, seriously? What the hell do they expect.

Also, dinged 40, aiming for 70 by christmas cause i think my parents have bought me WotLK :D As a hunter with most progress out of anyone on here, im your man First of all im using my cat to level at the moment, i think they have buffed its damage alot as i can kill 5 lvl 71 monsters before hes half the health and he gets alot of threat so hes a very good questing pet NOW, for PVP here are your option: Silithid - has the web attack that roots your enemie into place - VERY GOOD AGAINST MELE CLASSES, i cannot stress that enuff Simple: Beast Wrath> Web > Disengage - when web releases use intimidation > put serpent sting on him > concusive shot > slow trap and i mean u shudnt even need to use slow trap as he shud be dead already! Cats: All around strong DPS and has prowl and dash Scorpid: Stacking poison that also stacks with your serpent sting, exelent when fighting casters that can dispel! Why? if you stick the viper sting (mana drain) and have your scorpid use his sting, the dispeller can only remove one, most of the time removes your pets sting leaving him to drip mana Last option Bear/Boar - OK DPS, useful charge ability that is good against targets that like to run away ---- sorry for the wall of text any hunter related questions im allways here

EDIT:Although like other people on the interweb, people seek great pleasure from a beating, whether it be from a boss or:-# From my time of raiding in BC I can say that very few of the encounters really took a lot of "skill". Maybe it's just me but, honestly, I really only found fights such as Kael and lady Vashj to be difficult. Kael because of the sheer complexity of it all and Vashj because of the randomness of the fight. Which play style is better is entirely another debate though. I guess it's just me growing up on difficult games but, well, I do enjoy a good challenge. That being said it always sucks to see people (the core of Blizzards fanbase) not get to see these encounters that had so much work put into them. Then again once everyone has killed it it's not even an accomplishment and means nothing. Oh it wasn't directed at you personally, just a lot of people (mostly hardcore players, naturally) acts like WoW is now seriously ruined. Then people are [bleep] that they're able to do them after 3 days. I mean, seriously? What the hell do they expect. As far as the people who complain about WoW being ruined, well, I think that it was ruined for that playstyle back in BC. It doesn't mean the game is terrible, it just means that it is taking another approach.
November 17, 200817 yr So I found a hunter with the world's coolest pet ever. I asked him where people from get it from. He sent me here... http://petopia.brashendeavors.net/html/ ... opular.php These pets are so cool!!! I REALLY WANT TO LEVEL MY HUNTER NOW!!! Click my signature for my blog!
November 17, 200817 yr the problem with gettin a new pet isnt to get the level up its to make him like you enuff so when he dies he doesnt get [bleep]ed off with you and remains happy now that the levels of loyalty have gone i dont know if its even possible to do that anymore but my cat can die loads and still be happy and i tried leveling a slithid but i got anoyed that it allways was unhappy yeh if i see the cat i will try tame it cus looks awsome but i will probably never use it :P
November 17, 200817 yr Theres these spirit beasts in wrath, like dripping eyes and glowing spots i think super rare in scholozar basin. Healed a UK run, wasnt going so well and our tank deeming it on my less than average gear. Then i inspect him, wearing level 64 craftable leather items taking 14k crits and thinking that low level stamina enchants will make him well enough geraed.Seriousley i wouldnt let a fresh 70 death knight tank a thing. Second run did it without the tank dying once, warriors FTW
November 18, 200817 yr I used my 63 shaman to run some guildies through SM Cathedral earlier. It was ludicrously fast, probably because one of the class features is that it is impossible to have downtime when specced in Enhancement. November 18, 200817 yr ffs i made 5k in 3 hours.. got to love expansions. Wtf how? Unless you've been stocking up for ages... Dinged 74 and can sell Dalaran Portals. Getting 10g-20g for each one I sell. Strand of the Ancients is confusing. I think I have 195 achievement points too. Dragonblight is fun, however I think too spread out. Can't wait for 80 - Hoping to get by Christmas to be honest. Click my signature for my blog!
November 18, 200817 yr Dinged 30, got my first mount. Yes I'm still a noob but first mount feels so cool :D
November 19, 200817 yr ffs i made 5k in 3 hours.. got to love expansions. Wtf how? Unless you've been stocking up for ages... I mined for 3 hours in sholazar basin on my lvl 70 warrior. Got one stack of saronite in 7 mins or so (i had afk moments also) sold around 6 stacks 200g each and many for 100-150g each stack.. + gems, tons of eternals VIX VIX VIX
November 19, 200817 yr Pfft. Trying to level tailoring and jewelcrafting is so hard. Do you have any idea. I use ALL the frostweave I get. I'm 1/3 of the way through 74 to 75 and I've got 387 tailoring. I actually know nowhere where I can farm Frostweave Cloth constantly at a good rate. Jewelcrafting I'm not even trying, Cobalt on my server is like 100G a stack so I can't prospect that. And nobody even needs the uber gems on my server yet so they don't sell well either. Ah well, at least I found out I can solo Utgarde Keep up until the first boss. This is actually pro. Realms are down for another 2 hours...yay. EDIT: Are there any US WoW Players here? :D Can you go to http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/threa ... 9704&sid=1 and ask if this is possible at level 74+? Also, how much harder is it with a ground mount. And how does this work when Ice Block is on cooldown? :) Click my signature for my blog!
November 19, 200817 yr I play on a US (Oceanic) server. Transferred from Pvp to Pve server, personally, the only difference I see is the ganking and that is [cabbage]. Only going to focus on the bgs for this expansion, I've really had enough of raiding. It's just too time consuming and the gear you get is only for Pve (with only a few exception).
November 19, 200817 yr I love Raiding. I'm an achivement raider now anyway, so when I'm not raiding, I'm doing the achievements. Currently my top is Explorer, then 25 Tabards, then Loremaster. :) Click my signature for my blog!
November 19, 200817 yr u know for 25 tabbard u need to be exlated with about 25 factions... not including the ones that DONT give tabbard imo id pick easier goal... uve just begun WotlK if i where u id pick an achievement that is easy and fast and leave rele hard ones where theres no new content and u have all bosses on farm
