elmo_killer6 Posted February 9, 2007 Share Posted February 9, 2007 while browsing the RSOF which i rarely do i found this ! ####### The Basics ####### Q: What is Abyss Runecrafting? + A: The Abyss is a path that provides a quicker means of getting to the runecrafting altars, but the risk of death is much higher because even though the Abyss is not in the Wilderness, its entrance is. Q: Where is the abyss? + A: To gain access to the Abyss, runecrafters will have to run to the Zamorakian Mage located north of Edgeville, by the river in Level 5 Wilderness. This is where we abyss pkers take advantage and give them a free ticket to lumbridge or falador... Tactics 101 "Alch and Kill" This method gives for a more bearable scouting period in finding the perfect runecrafter to kill. Sit around in the bank in either full ahrims or full mystic alching yew longs or whatever you ussually alch. Make sure to have your inventory prepared to abyss pk, and have around a 100 yew longs and al** until you see a runecrafter around your level making repeated trips to the abyss. Once you picked out the runecrafter that you'll be attempting to kill let him run ahead and make another trip to the abyss. After you give him a few seconds to enter the abyss, you run up ahead by the abyss entrance killing the skeletons, and then wait for him to return for another easy pk. Most runecrafters won't see this coming because they'll have seen you in the bank alching. "Log out if caught" Sometimes runecrafters will be lucky enough to get away. If this happens log out and come back later, since most runecrafters will usually return with one item dragon dagger in an attempt to drive you away. There's no point in staying and fighting since most runecrafters will most likely just poison you, and protect their dagger when you kill them. Logging out and waiting five-ten minutes will even make the runecrafter think it's safe, giving you another chance to log in again and finish them off for good. If you decide to stay and fight the returning runecrafter then you are no longer abyss pking, so if you decide to leave feedback to this tactic, make sure it's on the topic of abyss pking a runecrafter, and not about staying and fighting a death-match against a returning player. Tactics 101 "Stalk and Kill" This tactic involves adding the name of the runecrafter you just pked, or the runecrafter that you attempted to pk to your friends list. The point of this tactic is to follow the runecrafter to whatever world they hop to. You can even leave the person added to your friends list, to hop to their world on a future date, and kill them again if they're abyss runcrafting. "Lunar Spells" 1. Boost share potion ... when pking in teams of two, you or your friend could cast the spell on your pots so both of you wont have to waste time drinking potions. it could also be another way of having a random player that you see in the wild help you get the rc pk by sharing the affects of your pots with them so maybe they'll warm up to you and kill those pesky skeletons that may help the rcer get away ... 2. Vengeance ... another method is casting vengance on yourself as an extra precaution to defend against other pkers who may wander around the abyss or even against a vengeful returning runecrafter.... think about it you have autoretaliate on your dragon dagger equipped specs highlighted and vengeance casted a vengeful runecrafter returns in full rune to hit you with a dragon dagger special and your vengeance and your dds specs retaliate yielding an unexpected k0 all thanks to sitting out by the abyss waiting to pk runecrafters... The basic Abyss Pking Combats: ( I will be replacing this portion of the post with more tactics in the near future. I'll leave it up for now, but read up it won't be here for long! ) Type 1: The Mage Mages seem to be the standard in abyss pking because there is a very short window for attacking runecrafters, due to the entrance of the abyss only reaching level 5 wilderness. Mages have the ability to freeze players from moving, through acient ice spells and normal binding spells. These spells will allow you to stop the runecrafter from moving, giving you the necissary time to finish the kill. Asides from the risk of your prey running away due to being in such low level wilderness, there is also a threat of the runecrafter teleporting away. This is another pro in Abyss pking as a mage, due to the mage pker's ability to teleblock. I'll be going in depth on how to use mage to kill the runecrafter later on in the thread. Stilev Posted February 9, 2007 Share Posted February 9, 2007 ok, this is a load of nothing, seriously if someone needs a guide to waste there time and money trying to kill me, it aint ganna work, that guide is also very vague on killing the person as well. i think it was writen by some guy that has no idea even how to abyss pk and is trying to get even by getting evey noob and there mom out there trying to pk us runecrafters i find it interesting that they are killing the very people that they buy there nats, deaths, and laws from... on a side note the world im rc in there seems to be 'slightly' more pkers the usual, but might just be my world Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

How would you expect to fight against a pker with average stats such as yours? Even though pking has changed alot, it does still require some skill. A real pker would barrage you with dds spec before you could say "Ouch". If the pker is good that is. Now there will be more easy pray after that topic is out though. With a "good" NH group it would be possible to get a kill with avg stats. You shouldn't be offended if someone says your stats are not suitable for something. Look at my stats, they are not good for pking either and i'm not offended when i'm being told so, the matter is whether i train them to such or not. This is the first time i've been called stuck-up. Only if I can see the look on their face. Is it sad? Yes. Is it worth it? Only they can answer that. I agree its sad to waste 10,000gp of runes on someone for 5 house teleports but its their choice, I respect that.
