Thoughts on GTA and if you own any tell us!

Your name is "bet you fail", and you're starting a business with your mom? I'm not even going to touch that.....

Since it is so big, people will feel the need to tell you how bad it is (Sony, Microsoft, McDonalds). But yes, Vice City and San Andreas are 2 of the greatest video game achievements ever. 1 and 2 aren't really very good, and 3 was very, very good at the time, but fails miserably when compared to Vice City and San Andreas.

San Andreas is one of my favourite games. If it had splitscreen mode it would be my favourite game but it doesn't. I think it's the best GTA due to the sheer size of the place, 3 huge cities and well...about a hundred missions. There are so many vehicles to, from combine harvesters to tanks. It's the only GTA i've really ever got into, though I played GTA1 a bit on the PS1 but San Andreas takes the cookie for me.

Number two was pretty fun. Vice city was fun, but after a while you get bored of it.

I had fun with the 3rd one and vice city but I wouldn't go near as far to say they were the best game(s) ever.

It's pretty fun for a while...and then it gets way to repetitive for my liking.

i used to hav 3 on ps2, now i have vice city, san andreas on pc and liberty on ps2

i found 3 a bit repetitive, but then i had no idea wat to do, i didnt even pass 1 mission (it was my bros and he let me play a few times) very few times i drove 8-ball to his place at the start

san andreas takes a while to get repetitive whereas vice city and gta3 take a lot less

san andreas is massive and in my opinion, the best gta

vice city is by far the best, it's the more realistic gangster style one, he looks like he could be a gangster (well the flowery shirts etc don't but oh well) san andreas sucks except for all the features...."yo whattup diggy dawg!!!" i hate that....makes me wanna shoot myself in game just so i don't have to hear him say homey again....

^^ agreed, i've had it for like 3 years and I still go back and play it, there are so many things to do the missions are only half of it.

Anyway I have San Andreas and Liberty City Stories for PS2, maybe I cheat too much on San Andreas but it makes stealth alot easier. San Andreas is by far the best. Its like what Final Fantasy VII's storyline is to the whole Final Fantasy Series.

Vice City is the coolest, San Andreas is the most fun. They're about the only games that i'd actually play on my PS2 now if I had to. That and Gran Turismo with mates.

"Da mihi castitatem et continentam, sed noli modo"

GTA games are probely the funnest games because who wouldn't want to run around and shoot ppl and hijack cars....also they have the easiest and best cheats......i have almost every GTA game out there (except for the first one on ps1)

Vice City has the best soundtrack. Surely we can all agree on that? :P

Easily. That's not to say San Andreas' is without it's charms, but Vice City's is uniformly outstanding.

Vice City also had the most style and best realized atmosphere. It was SO 80's. Right away, you could tell where and when you were, and you could spot the influences (Miami Vice, Scarface) a mile away. And it had a really entertaining story. But...

San Andreas is the biggest, most interesting place to explore. That's half the fun I get from those games, is just exploring all the details the devs put into it. And San Andreas has so many features (planes =P~ ), and BY FAR the best quests and sidequests. There was only 1 mission I remember not having any fun on, and that was the one where you had to fly the RC plane and kill all the vans. SO annoying. Vice City had a few like that, the helicopter demolision one similar to the one I just mentioned. San Andreas is perhaps an easier game than Vice City, and I think in this case, it helps the entertainment value hugely. There's nothing I hated more than having to try a VC mission dozens of times in order to move on in the story (the one where you have to do as much chaos as possible in a minute was nearly impossible without cheating and getting a tank, but I did it [uzi+Motorcycle+narrow pathways= ]). And San Andreas has good atmosphere, great characters and perhaps an even better story than VC. It's not Shakespeare, but it fits perfectly with the game.

vice city and san andreas both had awesome storylines

and yeah vice citys soundtrack is far better than any other

wat theme do u think is better, hitman (VC), gangster (san andreas)

well san andreas is the only 1 that isnt hitman style, which gets my vote

san andreas

Pedestrian riot + Pedestrians have weapons, hours of fun

Been playing the series for like 10 years now...

I remember back when I was like 14, wishing that GTA wasn't a top-down view game, and the next thing I know they're announcing GTA3. My friend and I thought we had direct mind-links with Rockstar.

The popularity of any given religion today depends on the victories of the wars they fought in the past.

- Me!

I've played all of the PS2 3-D ones (except the port of Liberty City Stories), and they're pretty great.

I liked San Andreas best for gameplay, but Vice City wins for storyline and characters. Tommy Vercetti's awesome.

It really has

That one mission in SA where you had to blow up the messengers using the plane? I almost killed myself.

gta is probably the most pointless game ever but hey what kind of kid doesnt enjoy shooting old ladys or stealing cars :D

everyone loves shooting old ppl and taking cars and running them over
