February 19, 200719 yr Ok, this is an interesting question. Even though America's population is no where near China's, we still end up having a lot of kids who are in foster homes and such because they were born into poor families who couldn't support them financially. My question is, how would you feel if America adopted a one child act? Or a two child act? How do you think this would help or hurt America? I'm against the idea personally, but I'm not against putting a cap on the amount of children one can have. Me doing staff.
February 19, 200719 yr No, look at what it did in China Hugely more sustainable population policies are available which are often much more successful - Kerala in India is a perfect example
February 19, 200719 yr How about bush starts caring about the children ( I am 1, Im 10 years old) and starts giving schools and parents with children better funding and if he needs money raise the tabbocheo tax! (I know bad speling) Well somebody was raised in a anti-bush household, I don't really think these are the boards for a 10 year old...
February 19, 200719 yr I don't like the idea, but it wouldn't do any harm. It would prevent overpopulation and people having to move to Antarctica and start the sovereign nation called The Federal Republic of Antarctica, because the other continents are too densely populated.

(I know bad spelling) That means raising taxes, which are already really high considering our economy. Me doing staff.

February 20, 200719 yr but it wouldn't do any harm. Ohhhh but it would, it screwed up china's population demographic so terribly they still haven't recovered. If people want a more detailed outline then post so.

(I know bad speling) Look, I am on the Hate bush boat too, but I'm not to sure you know what would go into more funding. Taxes would be raised, again, and more poor families would suffer paying higher taxes. Also, we're already in severe debt, shooting money out of our [wagon], we can't really afford it. Now if we could pull those Goddam troops out of Iraq, we might be onto something. My Farewell thread. Please post nicely, or die. :^_^:Yea, I'd vote for him too. But I don't think they let Iraqis vote :P

February 20, 200719 yr If anything, I could see a two child policy. There are some religious people who have as many kids as they possibly can because they feel it's their duty...The lady across the street has 9 kids last I heard, and that was several years ago. It's absolutely disgusting. Noone needs that many kids. The popularity of any given religion today depends on the victories of the wars they fought in the past. - Me!

They're all home schooled too. I didn't even know they had one my age until I saw her walk past my house one day with the other 8 tagging along behind, or being carried by her. It's ridiculous, really. The popularity of any given religion today depends on the victories of the wars they fought in the past. - Me!

My best friend's family has 5 kids, and it was living hell until they got gigantic discipline training via martial arts at the local dojo.
February 20, 200719 yr Author But more kids does equal higher property taxes from bigger houses, which is more taxes they can't afford. :P Me doing staff.
February 20, 200719 yr I'm not sure about the situation in America, but in Europe we kinda need a system the other way around, forcing people to have more kids, like in the marriage thread. Not that I care much for being turned into a breeding mare, mind you. We have a reverse population pyramid in my country and the western part of Europe. More and more older people and less and less younger ones to support them. It looks like it's going to be a real problem, us 20 year olds are being scared into saving for our older days already, whereas my grandparents and parents enjoy(ed) goverment-payed pensions. The problem: there was a population boost with the baby boom versus high educated people nowadays, who choose a career above kids/family. PS Don't mind my poorly constructed sentences, it's high time I went to bed, so I can't be bothered to write properly

February 20, 200719 yr No. We don't. Besides, if we only had one child, would that not decrease our population drastically? However, I am in support of two plans 1. You have to pay a certain amount to have a child, or prove you have a stable job or something. I am not sure about the details, but I am sure we could think of something. 2. You have to take a test to have a kid. If you fail...you can have...a dog. IF you fail miserably...you can have a turtle? Trix.--quit WoW as of 12/07Thank you 4be2jue for the wonderful sig and avatar!

February 20, 200719 yr They need to have it that if you are getting financial help from the state, you should have a limit. Mexicans are coming over here and having tons of kids, and pretty much gettting paid to do it, and half of them aren't even citizens, so they don't pay taxes, and their kids who can't speak a lick of English, go to school for free. 122 Combat : 99 Hits : 99 Attack : 99 Strength97/99 Defence : 99 Fletching : 99 Woodcutting
