Ash6110
Im really not surprised by thisto be honest. People think because they have money and a home that they're above people who don't, its quite pathetic really. Also was it just me or did anybody else think of that "Bum Fights" thing when they read this topic? ------------ Ihrcke told police that killing "the bum" reminded him of playing a violent video game, a police report shows. Oh god, now they've done it. They've played the video game card again. Yeah Video games seem to have surpassed music and even violent films as the favourite cop-out for young violent criminals. Barihawk
Well, the kid admits to it reminding him of playing a video game. We can't complain about it, it came straight from the horse's mouth. Sickening. My heart is broken by the terrible loss I have sustained in my old friends and companions and my poor soldiers. Oh god, now they've done it. They've played the video game card again. Beat me to it. I stopped reading the article right there. People always do this kind of thing, it isn't new. And, yes, it is sick. Well, the kid admits to it reminding him of playing a video game. We can't complain about it, it came straight from the horse's mouth. Where are you going with this? I mean, people make up * all the time to get less of the blame put on them.
MPM
If anyone reads penny-arcade, there was a couple comments on this. The first one is mildly amusing, but has a couple of words in there that may offend some. http://www.penny-arcade.com/2007/02/19 Scroll to the end. The next one is the response from a stepmotherlike person to the boy that did that. http://www.penny-arcade.com/2007/02/21 End again. It scares me that there are people in the world that are able to do terrible things like that, and just play some random word/phrase that focuses the attention off of them. ~M
honeo
Sadly enough I know some people at our school that WOULD think about doing these kinda things. I want to punch them in the [bleep]ing face. They are so [bleep]ing annoying. If they ever came up to me and talked to me like that I would literaly take a [bleep]ing cro-bar to their face. Jesus. Why take a poor, defenseless mans life. Those [bleep]'s.[/rant] That's horrible... I'm happy those teens got put in prison... They deserved it they did for 15 years. good thing they wont cause anything in their 20s. Personally I hope they don't do anything in their 30's, 40's or 50's either. I hope they die in jail tbh. Training my pure!

Tigra00
Misplaced me beat me to it, thanks for posting that. The kid played the video game card, essentially hoping that it would get media attention and he'd get sympathy and blah de dah. According to his step-mom, the kid is pure evil, while his brother, who was brought up with him and plays games himself apparently, is living a normal life and working hard to go to college. This kid, however, has been a scourge to his parents for years. I'm guessing Jack Thompson will jump on this, because Jack Thompson loves to sound like an idiot. We can't complain about it, it came straight from the horse's mouth. Sickening. Problem is, the news likes making stuff up to get a better story and reaction from it, so I wouldn't doubt it if that was completly made up, and even if it was true, like Nadril said, the dude could just be playing the 'I'm just an innocent child who's mind has been warped by the evil video games' act to get less of the blame pointed at him. ~^v^~Ex-Leader of the Divine Flames of Redemption~^v^~
BlueLancer
It's funny how people on other forums whine about online "game hackers" and "glitchers", look at what some teens are ready to do for amusement. Sick little [puncture]s, willing to kill human beings, ruin their own entire lives by spending life sentence in prison and depriving an innocent human of his life. Don't ask "why some people do" __This/___That. Just accept some people are disturbed, morons, or plain dumb since birth. There are so many outrageous things in the world you shouldn't be surprised at anything. Teens killing homeless people is just the tip of the iceberg in human cruelty. The letter is simply amazing to be honest and the woman that sent it deffinitly has a good head on her shoulders. After hearing that it just makes me wonder how bad it must have been to have to care for this... kid.
