fgfuyfyuiuy0
Hmn. Finally, someone hates clowns as much as I do, but I wouldn't go so far as to actually take someones life. I hate when people pull the video game card because it just ends with more people snooping around us kids to find if video games really affect us.... That's just terrible. They need some protection. I <3 Gears of War 2. Add me on Xbox Live and mention you are from Tif :D
gonpost
Don't believe any of the absolute CRAP the media is saying about video games. Read this, from Penny Arcade. I'm going to post the whole letter here because I think it's that valuable. Oh and it's not "sports killing". Bloody media is at it again. People have been doing this kind of stuff for a long time. The media just felt like making this a big issue now because they needed something to talk about. God I can't stand them. Anyway, the message is to Gabe, one of the head guys at PA. "Gabe, Your news post about the kids and the homeless man yesterday made me sick to my stomach, before I even read the CNN article. I knew what it was going to be about before even reading the article. It was not the article itself, or even your post that made me sick, it was the fact that I know this boy. Or, rather that I could be considered one of the ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬Åparents̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâà Runescape Name: "unbug07"Expand your mind.
lawrencekill
Ihrcke told police that killing "the bum" reminded him of playing a violent video game, a police report shows. Oh god, now they've done it. They've played the video game card again. ... Unfortunately, everything isn't the "video game's" fault. Obviously they're lying and saying what people want to hear, which is, "Video games made me do this, it's not my fault" "I just didn't attempt to throw my brother off a cliff, umm..., it's the video game's fault". I'm astounded by how irresponsibly people are. If you think about it, the cause is rarely just the "video game". Thats the only time most people care about them is when there getting beat up or killed. Possibly because they do not know that other person. The other possibility is that the people that know them don't give a damn about them.
00 Quanta
If I saw someone beating up a homeless, I would just go and fight the 'teens' beating the person up. They call it a sport, I guess they must have flunked middle school

They just killed a person, then went and got some food like it was something normal :-?
lawrencekill
If I saw someone beating up a homeless, I would just go and fight the 'teens' beating the person up. They call it a sport, I guess they must have flunked middle school In real life, I bet less than 1% of people would stop a bunch of teens from beating up a homeless guy, because they fear their own safety. Some kind of experiment was done on ABC I think, that tracks number of people in a park that will stop by if someone is being abused, less than 15% even try if it's a man vs woman. If it's a woman vs man, it drops down to about 1-2% and some people even encourage this woman vs man abuse as they walk by. Anyways, off-topic there, I doubt anyone would stop the teens and if they did, they may be dead because they may be the "only" people that will help. It's sad to see this in society, and even worse is that people apparently don't give a damn if this was happening, unless it's on the media. ____
on the note of passer-by helping, yea.. I doubt many would help. slightly unrelated (but close) Today Tonight did a "hit-run" test where they'd back one car into another and drive off to see how many people would take down the number of the offending car. They'd also bring the offending car back and park close to the one they hit. Around 10% did anything about it.
Icingdeath
Those kids need to be thoroughly trounced. Any kind of unwarranted violence like that deserves quick, extremely harsh punishment. Preferably without a fee of money, but one of mental or physical punishment. Leave a lasting impression. I really wouldn't call it an era. It was more of a definitive time period during which dinstinctive characteristics were expressed in similar ways.
blue107
Whats worse, this or the article about the kids putting a [developmentally delayed]ed kid in a burning building? 485th person to ever play RuneScapeBlue107- perm banned 10/12/2007. $300 USD reward if you can get me in contact with someone who will take 5 seconds to look at evidence and get my original character unbanned. Flametrooper
We should have the police beat *them* up (except leave them alive) and see how they like it, then. Except no doubt someone would whine about their rights, call it police brutality, get the media in, and make some bigass scene of it all.

crimsonking
Ihrcke told police that killing "the bum" reminded him of playing a violent video game, a police report shows. I just love how this always finds a way into the violent teen news storys, whether its about stealing, reckless driving, breaking and entering, or killing, if its with a teen "Video games caused it". I also love how the blame for homeless killings in this story goes directly to teenagers, I mean what the hell? They make things look like teens are hell spawn and none are to be trusted, especially the gaming kind, which in real life, the teen gamers would be too busy playing video games to go out and cause trouble. Have you ever wondered how many adults have done the same things whenever you read stories like this? Sorry if this has already been discussed, I'm too lazy to read through the entire thread tonight. ~^v^~Ex-Leader of the Divine Flames of Redemption~^v^~
Ss_J9_Goten
Ye gods, I can't believe people would stoop to that level either. "Every day I wish I could take it back," he said. "I seen [the] repercussions among everyone. I didn't think about any of this when [the beating] was going on." Funny how he thinks of the repercussions and not his actions. Tigra00
They should just let those kids loose on Skid Row with a sign that says "I kill homeless people." and see how long it takes until they are killed themselves. These are real people. Real lives.Actually, cyco is almost on the ball. A lot of people consider homeless people to be a blemish / annoyance. And wouldn't care if they just vanished. You don't really hear much of people helping them out much; but when someone so much as touches one with a finger it's all "omg that's inhuman" like the person is their best friend. It's almost insulting how they don't care untill something happens. Kinda like councils who do nothing about something dangerous until someone is killed.
