It seems like a pretty fun game, it just doesn't provide enough information at the start. With RS, you have Tutorial Island, with Diablo II, you just start. ~~Let The Dragon ride again, on the winds of time~~I've always felt as if I'm the only person who can understand the concept of sarcasm on the internet. He was like, "Yeah, it's an online RPG, and it's free online. I've been playing it for years!" It's not so much fun in single player, but it was great fun online or on a LAN. The thing that ruined it for me was the number of cheating mods for the game. Rather than earn items there were mods that could just make them for you. That took a lot of the fun out of the game. Also, the expansion where they introduced the assassin and druid classes. I found the druid was waaaaay too overpowered. Still, great memories from this game and i'm not that surprised to see that people are still buying it. Sure enough, it is still selling and making money for the retailer. Considering that there is no DOS version for Diablo as well kinda limited its chances.
