grandmaster quest

correct me if i'm wrong, but didn't the November BTS say that the quest would be before the thanksgiving thing?

well thanksgiving is thursday, and still no quest? what gives?

I mean if they release the quest tomorrow everyone is going to be so caught up in it that they won't even bother with the thanksgiving thing.

And if they don't then it's not likely to be out by the end of the month. What do you guys think?

Most updates are released on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, mainly Tuesdays though. It wouldn't surprise me if this quest happens after Thankspleasing. (Thats the name of your American festival isn't it? I can never remember :oops: )

I'm still baffled as to why Jagex insist on celebrating Thanksgiving. They are a British company, and all their staff are British, and they are based in Britain. :lol:

Probabaly, yes. As it didn't come out this week (monday or tuesday), it could be delayed. I could be wrong of course, but I think it's more likely to come out next week. :P

November 30th is Monday, could be then :S

The reason why the quest hasn't been released is because Jagex very rarely do two in-game updates in a week (and I think that's only ever been because of bugs!) If there is two pieces of content for one week they get released together, and according to the BTS the Thanksgiving event will be released 'a few days' over the last weekend.

So we are most likely going to get the quest on Thursday, unless for some reason it's been delayed...

I'm praying to see it tomorrow along with Thanksgiving though, I won't have time to play from Thursday onwards because of uni assignments.

Thats where our November quest will join things... In our first Grandmaster quest ever, with the longest, deepest storyline we have ever attempted, it will take an expert adventurer to find out.

 

 

 

Finally, after that huge update will come something much, much smaller! For a few days over the last weekend of November, youll notice Thanksgiving turkeys wandering around the map, gobbling and generally minding their own business. Hunt them down for some tasty drumsticks or find the turkeys in disguise for a special reward. Look out for more short celebration updates like this in the future.

Go into your profile, edit your signature and lookf or the code where it says "269", simply change it. :)

Technically it was due out today because it has been two weeks since the last content update..Oh well I'm betting on tomorrow, which will be great cause I have no classes! :thumbsup:

I was so waiting for someone to start this topic. With the new update system JaGex does not update exclusivly on monday and tuesday anymore. Ask me why I have no idea.

Grandmaster quest tomorrow, followed by the Thanksgiving event Thursday, or Friday.

Jagex should celebrate the American holidays as the majority of their userbase are not Europeans, but North Americans. It's only common sense to appeal to the needy North Americans. Though that still doesn't mean the Europeans are complaining out of jealousy.

If Jagex can pull off a 5 day only event or 3 days only, then they could do major World Wide Events too.

So yeah it was pretty much due out today but it's in no condition to be released today as it needs more testing to make sure there aren't any bugs. After Mod Paul made the post, I started thinking back to all the quests and I don't even remember 1 in which there were bugs and they had to be fixed after the release. That would really stink. That's why they're trying to make sure all things are perfect before release so that a bug doesn't mess up anyone's enjoyment of the quest, storyline, etc.

Pretty sure we never specified that we were going to be releasing it today. Therefore it isn't late. :P

 

 

 

As I wrote shortly before the Pvp worlds update came out and people were claiming it was late.

Exactly the same applies to this update and will apply to more updates in the future too.
