has anyone heard of white metal

Iknow some people has heard of black metal, Ikonw a genre of music

called white metal it mostly a mix of black metal and christian rock

here r a few band i know that all white metal get some bands that (or think)there white metal

Since blackmetal is (generally) totally against religion. Correct me if I'm wrong though, since I don't listen to that sort of metal (much).

I think you're insinuating they have the sound of black metal, but are Christian? Still, sounds interesting, even though I'm no fan of black metal. Might have to check some of it out.

Well there is, strangly, christian black metal. I've never actualy heard of the term "white metal" though. I always thought that it was somewhat contradicting in it's own self, but than again I have heard black metal bands where the focus has not been on religion at all. (Ildjarn, for example).

How is as i lay dying white metal? Its generic metalcore....

I guess they figure that if people are dumb enough to listen to black metal, they won't understand that this 'white metal' is Christian related.

anyways, ive heard some of this stuff, and i could say i didnt really like it....... i prefer Death/black/trash/power, or sorta all except these 'new' sub-genres of metal :wall:

those would not be called white metal, there just metal or christian metal. Underoath, Zao, and As I Lay Dying are not like Black Metal in any way. If you think they are they go look up the history of black metal and were it originated from and you'll see what i mean :lol: . I didnt say the other 3 because I dont know who they are.

Well I enjoy some black metal (mostly when it's content is focused away from the entire "look i'm evil, I hate christians!" deal. Burzum + Ildjarn are probaly my favorite two out of the genre because they break this mold and create some great stuff. [ildjarn being much harder to listen to])

Other than that i'm not really sure why there are christian BM bands out there. However, I haven't actualy listened to any of them so I can't really express on how good they are at what they do.

And at the OP: Wakka is right dude, those bands aren't black metal.. they are metalcore ....
