This guide should be useful to both those who have never been to the mage training arena and those who are familiar with it. I don't explain what to do there, I examine how worthwhile it is to do it.

The mage training arena is a way you can train your magic level - while making money at the same time. How good is the training? How much money can you make? Read on...

If you are unfamiliar with the mage training arena, tip.it has a guide on it here. There is also an article on it in official knowledge base.

You can make money at the mage training arena by buying infinity robes, the mage̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s book, and various wands from the arena shop and selling them to players. You can sell them for more than the runes you need to earn the points to buy them, so you can train magic and make money at the same time.

Here̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s an example: Infinity boots are the cheapest piece of the infinity robes set. They require

-120 alchemy points

-120 graveyard points

-120 telekinetic points and

-1200 enchantment points

and you can sell them to players for about 700k once you have them.

Alchemist̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s Playground

mtaalchplaylb0.jpg

If you do things right here, you can get 1 alchemy point for every 3 nature runes you bring. You can get about 120 points per hour. You also get 60k-75k magic xp per hour.

To get the 120 points for infinity boots, you̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll need 360 nature runes and 1 hour of time, for which you̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll get 60-75k xp.

Creature Graveyard

mtagraveos1.jpg

I can get 300-400 graveyard points per hour here if I bring food. Furthermore, graveyard points are essentially free: the nature, death, and blood runes you get as rewards pay for the cost of the nature runes. You can get 10k-15k magic xp per hour. So let̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s say 30 minutes and 5k xp for 120 points for infinity boots.

Note: I can only cast bones to bananas. If you can cast bones to peaches you should be able to do this somewhat faster and get more xp.

Telekinetic Theatre

mtatelebe0.jpg

You can earn about 100 telekinetic points per hour here, and you̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll need about 2 law runes per point. You can get about 15k xp per hour here. To get 120 points for infinity boots will take about 250 law runes and 90 minutes, and earn 15k-20k xp.

Enchanting Chamber

I use the ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬Ålevel 4 enchant̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ

Nice guide, I can see that alot of time and work was put into it. It was extremely informative and will undoubtedly help me in my mage training. But I think that Master Wands are currently 2.4M-2.7M as I used to merchant them but I am not too sure. If you wish to find the approximate price then I suggest you look around in world 2 beside the farming patch in Falador Garden, otherwise you can browse the official forums. Well done  and keep up the good work. Alot of Tipiters will find this guide to be useful.

Off-Topic: Welcome to the Tip.It forums! :D I haven't been around for long but I can assure you that you will find that it is a very friendly community ::' .

=D> Awesome guide, everything you need to know. Thanks for all the information and I'm sure it will help me in futre mage training. :) I never considered all the profit you could make and always found it far too long winded and expensive to gain anything big.

Great insight into some money making methods overlooked. :D

A category list would be nice too though.

Example:

Mage Arena rewards

-Top

-Bottom

-Book

Profit

That kind of thing.

Very nice guide!

Even though I'm always short on runes... and cash.

I'm surprised that infinity outfit is still so expensive. I guess it's cause of long time and effort to get it.

Also, what's the best strategy for graveyard? i've never been there, but I've heard one gets damaged very frequently. I can't eat up all bananas that i get!

For the graveyard, take some good food while still leaving room for bones and bananas. Since bananas only heal 2, it's a waste of time and bones eating them. I take about 12 monkfish and then bank when they're used up.

Thanks for the guide, i recommend before doing a lot of mage training, first go for the bones to peaches spell, it's really better, since they heal 8...

I have spend already some time there, i started there with magic 10, i'm now 63, but decided to quit cause it was way to expensive, now you have made me go there again... just going to craft some nats and cosmics... and going to make a lot of money...

thanks...

Will cheese- and - butter potatoes do? They heal 16 each, which is decent, and with Culinaromancer's chest they are easy to make...if only butter weren't nerfed...

Anyways, I saw the requirements on "Bones to peaches"....I'll never get it unless I have some money to start with. So i buy infinity boots, sell them, and get some cash for a larger load of runes. That is, if I get the time, cause I'm training slayer right now.

I've used Enchantment Arena up to 1600 points and going to the rest for more points and xp.

I never realised how good the xp is, I'll be making more visits now!

I'm going for a Mage's Book...my magic and runecrafting levels are going to love this!

I thought that was an excellent guide, you kept it short and sweet, but it was extremely informational :D I also like how you put in the time and money it will take and how much cash you gain

yup. short and sweet, i liked it, as i am f2p and i don't know much about the mage training arena, and i like to familiarize myself with the p2p world. very good guide! =D>

Excellent guide, well worded, well said.

Does anyone happen to know death_siren? She stole a green mask from me, and I think I found my way into her ignore list. If you know anything, please, don't hesitate to give me a pm.
