Greedom1
UPDATE: Due to the recent shop update, the dock shops no longer sell pineapples or oranges. Bananas are now available in unlimited amounts, though oranges and pineapples are best purchased from the shop in the gnome tree stronghold. Or, in the case of pineapples, just use the "Talk" option with Arhein in Catherby, he has 40 in stock. Well, as I'm bored a little, here's a mini-guide to help you first-time farmers out there find the items you may need for protecting your trees and fruit trees: For purposes of the guide: I'll focus primarily on those items that can be easily bought from shops in mass quantities and not those that can be collected normally. As this is a mini-guide, I'll only cover trees and fruit trees for the time being. Also, while several shops may sell lesser quantities of these items, these are the best places to get them in large amounts. Trees: Oak: 1 Basket of Tomatoes (buy from chest from Recipe for Disaster, 50 in stock.) Willow: 1 Basket of Apples (buy from chest from Recipe for Disaster, 50 in stock.) Maple: 1 Basket of Oranges (buy from dock shops in Catherby*, 10 in stock.) Yew: 10 Cactus Spines (no shop sells cactus spines in stock.) Magic: 25 Coconuts (no shop sells coconuts in stock.) Fruit Trees: Apple: 9 raw sweetcorn (Farmer shops sell raw sweetcorn, but almost never in stock.) Banana: 4 Baskets of Apples (buy from chest from Recipe for Disaster, 50 in stock.) Orange: 3 Baskets of Strawberries (Farmer shops sell strawberries, but almost never in stock.) Curry: 5 Baskets of Bananas (Banana shop on Ape Atoll has over 1k in stock, bring baskets to fill up and remember to wear gree gree and mspeak ammy just in case!) (Dock shops have 15 in stock if you can't tele here easily.) Pineapple: 10 watermelon: (Farmer shops sell watermelons, but almost never in stock.) Papaya: 10 Pineapples (buy from dock shops in Catherby*, 15 in stock.) Palm: 15 Papaya (No shop sells papaya in stock.) Notes: If this helps someone, great - if you already knew this, that's fine too. I just wanted to offer a little advice for those people who get a tree seed and figure: "why plant this, it'll die anyways, and I have no idea where to get the fruits to protect it." Though I didn't use it for this guide, I am already aware that zybez does have a shop database that is somewhat useful. * These dock shops are located at several locations around RS - most convenient is in Catherby, then Brimhaven. You need to trade the NPC's on the ends of the docks in these (or other) locations. For more info on trees and payments for high level trees, please read Kama's guide: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=656580 Thanks, and happy farming~ RSN: Greedom1 | QP 248+ | Combat 116 | Total 1920+ | Skills 95 craft, 99 farm, 88 herb, 91 mage, 85 slayer Values? Greedom1
i dont wanna look stupid or something like that.. but whers dock shop... Dock shops are located in Catherby, Brimhaven, Port Khazard, Karajama, Port Sarim, Port Phasmatys, Mos le' Harmless, and Port Tyras. (Catherby or Brimhaven are usually the most convenient on farming rounds.) I'll add this to the guide. Thanks, but I'm not doing this for points. I'm doing a quick mini-guide that will help people if they need questions. (And now that I'm no longer bored, I guess I'll move along now.) :) Grand tree isn't nearly as good as the locations I've listed. Though, yes, it does sell oranges and pineapples. Pictures really aren't necessary, and though they might impress some of you, it's a huge waste of time for such a small and simple guide. Still, thanks though for commenting and glad you found it... 50% helpful  \ RSN: Greedom1 | QP 248+ | Combat 116 | Total 1920+ | Skills 95 craft, 99 farm, 88 herb, 91 mage, 85 slayer Values? If it operated how you mention, it'd be even better. As it is, it's almost always fully stocked. curmudgeony
why would you need 400-500 bananas? Yes, but a better question would be "why wouldn't you need 500 bananas?" I mean, if you have to ask about the bananas...

Bring runes for bones to bananas and presto, you're in banana heaven... This would only really be needed if you didn't have the banana to tele to ape atoll in the first place.
