Guide to making $$ in F2P.( pking, merch and more)

There are 3 ways of making money in runescape:

1.Makin money through your stats

2.Merchanting

3.Pking

In F2P, the better ways of making money is combat, mining, woodcutting.

But honestly, this being money making ways for non members, it is already considered good if u make 50k per hr. Unless your a good pker or an elite merchant.

Pking is a GREAT way of making money if you are a good pker. I make around 180 to 220k per hr by pking in the wilderness.

How do i make so much?

Well, it takes time. when i first started pking, i could not kill anyone, but as you pk more,you will get better. I get a full rune set everyday when i was pking in the past.In an hr, i usually fight around 5 guys or so. And i would win one of the fites, so thats how i get a full rune plus a weapon and stuff.

This was the MAIN way i earned my mills.

Helm- Rune full helm, no arguements there

Amulet-Str or power amulet

Plate- Rune plate or chain

Legs- Rune legs

Boots-Boots from stronghold or leather boots

Gloves- vembs, jus give a little more bonuses. normal gloves.

ring- dun bring any, doesnt give any stats.

cape- cape-_-

With proper armour, half the better is won, now you just need to brush up on your pking skills. The spots i pk at are dark knight fortress and hills but there are quite a number of teletubbies thou, so u better be a good KOer. lol

[hide=Making Money Through Merchanting]

Merchanting is another GREAT way of making money.

Firstly, you need to know the basics of merchanting. Which is:buy low,sell high.

Since prices for items changes constantly, i suggest that you check up other sites for the prices for the items.

In the beginning when you do not have much money, you should merchant stuff that are cheaper and items that has a constant price.

The items are:

Runite weapons: Rune scimmys, baxe and R2hs

Big bones

Smithing materials:Coal,iron steel bars

Runes:air,choas,minds,deaths,natures,laws

Rune armour SETS.

Merchanting these items gives you a constant and tidy amt.

One of the best is merchanting Smithing materials. Buy coal and iron, smelt steel bars, sell for 600 to 680 plus gp. A very good profit there.

You can also buy steel bars for like 580 each sell for 650 each, done it before.

There are many other variations, so you should jus play around and find the best way for yourself

Once You are richer. You can start merchanting more expensive items:

Trimmed and God armours.

Merchanting such items will allow you to earn a few hundred k per hr, but the earnings are not constant, as these armour prices flatuate quite a bit, but are still rather constant. Just be careful

Once you have tens of millions, you can merchant items such as:

Rares.

Rares only gives you a few million at one go, but does not provide you with a steady income.

For example: buy masks during the xmas period, as that is when santa prices rises and masks prices drop. Then sell the mask when the prices rise again, like during halloween season. You can make a few mill. This apply for santa hats too, buy it during halloween season or sth then sell it durin xmas.

And do not try to play with phats thou, red phat recently dropped by 50mill..... flatuates a lot.

For combat, the good way of making money is by killing hill giants.Hill giants are only lvl 28 are are fairly fast and easy to kill. But i recommend a combat lvl of 60 or more so tat u can kill the hill giants at a rather constant and good pace. but if you are below lvl 60, i recommend you to bring a few trouts as you may lose quite a bit of health but is really up to you to bring food, after all the giants are only lvl 28.

Armour recommended is full rune. if you are unable to wear full rune, admant will do.

Weaopon recommended is rune scimitar, baxe, longsword. if u cant afford it adamant and mith weapons will do too.

But the thing is, if you are using addy or mith weapons, it will decrease your speed of getting big bones which will cause u to earn lesser money. And out of all the rune weapons, i recommend rune scimitar because it is fast and accurate.

The giants are found in the edgeville dungeon which you can enter which is jus west of varrock, next to the cooking guild. You will need a brass key to enter the house, the dungeon is below the house. You can get brass key from players or get it by killin the goblins which are just outside the house.

Once u enter the house, climb down the ladder and Ta-Da! the giants are all there. Kill the giants till you have a full set of big bones.

Once you are done, go to varrock west bank to bank your items, walk back to the dungeon. Varrock west bank is just east of the dungeon.

Keep on repeating these steps tiil u have at least 1000 big bones.The reason why i say get 1000 big bones before u sell because when you are selling 1k big bones or more, each big bone will cost 400 each. if u sell less than 1k big bones, each big bone will be 350 each, but it is still possible to sell for higher thou but it will be harder. The best is to check up price guides for the prices.

The amount u earn depends on 3 variables:

1. how fast u take to kill the giants

2. the amount of people in the dungeon

3. Your equipment.

So basically wear all the best weapons and armour you can wear.

And when the dungeon gets too populated change world.

When there are very little people playin i can make as much as 50k per hr but as low as 20k per hour so the amt of money made per hr is not consistent.

Try playin at a time where there are not many people playing.

Partly cause i live in asia, so when i play there are usually lesser players online.

The worlds i recommend are the american worlds as usually they are the less populated ones.

Mining is a very good way of making money, it can be done at any levels and it brings in good money.

Firstly the ores that are easy to mine and brin in good money is iron ore and coal.

First thing first, if you wanna make money by mining i strongly recommend tat u have at least a lvl 41 mining and carry a rune pickaxe, or else you will lose an ore to another guy when competing over an ore

MAKING MONEY BY MINING IRON ORE

Making money by iron ore is rather good as you can get 1 iron ore simply jus by hitting the ore only once if you are usin a rune pick. okay since now u know that iron ore is a good way of making $$, where can u go and mine it?

Mine it at the mines just south outside varrock. exit frm varrock by the east exit and walk south and you will see the mining spot. There are 4 iron ores.

The iron ores are at the edge of the mining spot so the first ore u shld see when u get there are the iron ores. mine till you have a full invent, walk back to the east bank in varrock to store it.

Repeat these steps.

I recommend thatyou do not wear anything at all execpt for ur pick so that you can run more frequently.

But only run to the mines as that is when your light but when u have mine a full invent do not run back ,walk back as you are heavy.

There are other spots thou but im not gonna cover that as the other spots are not near banks.

Once you think you have mine enough, go to varrock west bank or falador south east bank. sell the iron ores for 80-110 each. But 110 each is only possible if u have LOADS of iron ore.

MAKING MONEY BY MINING COAL

There are only 2 spots in the f2p world that has an abundance of coal and is are near the bank

One is in the wilderness, the other is the mining guild.

MAKING MONEY BY MINING IN THE GUILD

First, i am gonna cover the mining of coal in the mining guild.

Firstly u will need a mining lvl of at least 60 so that you can enter the guild and you will also need a rune pick. the guild is jus south east of fally's south east bank.

Just enter the guild by goin down one of the 4 ladders. in there, there are 30+ coal and 5 mith ores.

Mine till u have a full inventory of coal then go back up to store in bank.

Repeat the steps till you are satisfied.

Coal can be sold from 180 to 220 each. But i can tell you that it is very hard to sell ur coal for more than 200 each unless u realy have a LOT of coal. Sell only to players and not shop -_-

But jus to tell you, just as there are plenty of coal, there are also lots of people down there. in the past there were very little people, but now there are a lot of people with a lvl of 60 mining or more so there is quite a bit of competition over the coal, so you make more money when there are less people and less money when there are more people.

MAKING MONEY BY MINING IN THE WILDERNESS

I would say that mining in the wilderness is my favourite way of making money through stats.

The mining spot is called skeleton mines. Because they are loads of skeletons in the mining spot.

Tis is what i wear when i go and mine in the wild

The mining spot is in lvl 8-9 wilderness. which is jus north west of edgeville.

After walking a for a very short while u will reach the spot, and simply start mining

Let me tell you why i love tis spot so much.

Firstly it is jus in lvl 8 wilderness, rather close to the edgeville bank.

Secondly, it has pratically no one mining there, except for yourself. the very most i had was jus 4 ppl mining with me, which happened only once,and there was still enuf coal to keep you mining instead of waiting for the coal to spawn.

The only danger are pkers and skeletons. but since you are only in lvl 8 wild, you can jus simply run out of the wild in no time if you get attacked. What i do when i get attacked by pkers is by turning on my protection prayers and run out of the wilderness. Quite impossible to die unless u are in members world..or ur jus stupid...

For the skeletons, jus wear rune or addy armour when mining so that the skeletons hit u like 0 almost all the time except for some 2 or 3. but if you do not wear any armour, you will receive quite a bit of damage.

And since there is like almost no one there, u get to make a constant amount of money all the time.

i can make like 40k++ per hour all the time.i made a few million mining coal frm skeleton mines. if you were to think abt it or calculate, tis is perhaps the best way to make $$ in F2P.

Fishing although not the best way of making money in f2p worlds, is still rather good.

But i highly recommend that runescape players out there to make money by other ways other than fishing in the f2p worlds.

But if you are still interested, continue reading.

Making money by fishing Lobsters.

Lobsters seem like the only fish that everybody buys in the f2p world as it is used for training and pking. So it is easy to sell as there is a rather hgih demand for it.

So what next?

First u need a relatively high fishing level. i recommend at least 63. if u have fishing levels lower than this, it is rather slow to get a full invent of lobsters which will in turn bring in less money for you.

Second u need jus some money, around 1k will do lol, so that you can pay for the boat ride to and fro port sarim and karmaja.

if you want to speed things up a little, you can always bring fally tele runes with u, so that u can tele to fally once u are done fishing.

Thirdly, try not to wear any armour, make yourself as light as possible so that you are able to run to speed things up.

This is wat i usually wear and bring:

So how do i get there?

To get to karmaja, the only place in the f2p world where u fish lobsters, walk south of faladors south exit.

Walk till you see the fishing shop and then turn left which is easton ur compass, where many sailors are. Right click on them and click pay fare, then they will bring you to karmaja immediately.

Once you have reached ur destination, get off the boat and walk up, which is west of ur compass, till u reached the the beer shop, then turn right and walk all the way till u see the fishing spot.

How much can u make per hr thru fishing lobs?

From 25k to 35k

Depends on how much u sell for and how fast u fish.

For me,with lvl 70 fishing, i can make 6 trips in an hr, so is around 156 lobsters every hr.

Arund 31 to 35 k per, and it also depends how much you sell it for.

the price for each lobster is between 200 to 250 each.

How about fishing swordfish?

Well, if you want to make a constant and tidy amt, i advice you to have at the least 75 fishing or better, 80. or else, it will take you quite a while to fish a full load. Lobs are still the best :D

There are only 2 trees in the f2p world that are worth your time to cut.

The 2 are: Willows and Yews.

Willows require lvl 30 woodcutting and yews require lvl 60 woodcutting

Making money by cutting willows

Where are the willows?

The only willow spot that has a good number of willow trees and is near the bank is the spot found in draynor village. The trees are found jus infront of the bank. So all u got to do is to find the the bank. And draynor village is very small so it will be very easy to find the woodcutting spot.

So now i know where they are, what do i need?

Being the only good willow woodcutting spot, there are a lot of ppl there. So i recommend that you have at least a rune axe, and a woodcutting lvl of 50. Having a woodcutting lower than 50, you will not be able to cut willows and a constant and moderate pace.

If you want to cut it FAST, i recommend lvl 70 woodcutting.

How much can i make per hr?

each willow is around 15......so between 15k to 20k per hr.

So i highly discourage this method, unless you really want to cut those willows, go ahead.

Making money by cutting yews

Yews is a much better way than cutting willows.So u wanna cut some trees? cut yews

Where are the yews?

There are quite a number of yew cutting spot.

The first spot is at edgeville:

Tis spot is very good as there are 2 yews, a good amt of a f2p world and is jus next to a bank, which is jus north of the yews.

The other spot is jus behind the castle which is found in varrock.

This spot has 3 yews and although not as close to the bank compared to the spot at edge, it is still relatively near.

There are other spots, but they are simply not worth it, so i will not cover them.

What do i need?

Well, obviously a rune axe.To cut them at a moderate pace, i recommend lvl 70 woodcutting. And keep yourself light so u can run to the bank and back if you are cutting at varrock.

This is just a guide and my information may be wrong, for example, the amt of money made in an hr,But im sure is accurate haha.

And some ppl say that i did not use this methods as i could not make much money with these methods.Plus i could not have bought a santa hat plus another 11mill with these methods.

Well they were correct, so i will be releasing the merchanting part soon.

But i still made a decent amt by 'making money thru stats', i made around 5 mill. the rest of the 11mill and the santa were thru merchanting and pking.

There is also another money making strategy, you can buy 2k coal and 1k iron. (2k coal=400k, 1k iron=100k 400k+100k=500k) Then you smelt them into steel bars. Then post on the tipit forums or look around in the official forums. Sell them for 600 ea (prices should be firm) and you have 100k profit. It takes around an hour and a half to smelt all of them. You can get your smithing up that way too.

I can't take anything in your guide serious because you carry 11mil GP with you... dumbest thing I've seen in a while...

11mil is about 10% of my total worth, but even at that small of a %, I wouldn't carry even 1miil GP around, just plain dumb.

What could you need to buy that would be 11mil?

The most expensive thing in F2P that isn't rare is the god armor, which is no more than 3million... and why would you be buying god armor when fishing?

hey thx for your comment, i will work on it, and i did have mining coal in the guild in my guide haha, but for air runes, in order to make 100 k per hr, what is the minimum rc lvl needed?
