Keiphus Posted October 22, 2004 Share Posted October 22, 2004 I've actually been considering this for a while, so let's see what you guys have to say. Every 2 Days I will post a "Daily Sketch." This sketch will have a theme that you much try and convey. At first I plan to start with Emotions. These will be non objective, and at first won't even be sketches. I'm hoping to kind of lead people into the right frame of mind, and then go from there. Here is an example of how it will be posted. ------------------ Daily Sketch 1 "Love" Stock Acceptable: No Here are the rules: Minimum size is 640x480. Maximum size is 1024x768. Any style or medium can be used. Use of Stock will be declared on each topic. Time to create must be added to post Post only final piece You can enter more than 1 Enjoy ------------------- Then, the artist will post this: ++++++++++++ [.img]Artwork[./img] This took me 3 hours. This represents Love to me, because of the pink and the abstract heart shape. ++++++++++++ At the end of the week, we will compile all the entries and people can pick which ones they like best. The first few ill be non objective, and hopefully we will move into real sketches and drawings. I'll update this post with more info as I see fit. Please post any suggestions or ideas you have. I also need a theme list. Right now I have about 30 different topics we can use, and I'm open to suggestion. The first few will be planned out just so we can get people started right, but after that, I hope to make the topics completely random. Give me your thoughts. Pixels are welcome too, if you want to spend that much time on a 640x480... Haha.. Remember, the first few will be non-objective, which means you don't have to sketch anything. I actually did a good one, then when I meant to Merge the layers, (ctrl+E) I accidently closed it without saving (ctrl+w). So here is a rough idea of what a good entry would be. I kept making changes just when I thought I was done :? The heart obviously represents the love them, and I also chose the colors because I thought they suited the theme well.
