Not fair, you have a superior air rune :( I've done nothing but try to get a superior vigor/air/domination (without outright buying it, I need it unlocked), but have had no luck. My only unlocked superior rune is Smiting. I was waiting until I had completed all the missions before joining a Guild. I did join one last weekend, and in my first tombs experience we skipped straight to the Hall of Heroes :) We took the altar, and the two remaing teams waited until about 2:30 left before they attacked. Held our ground until about 1 minute remaining, when the entire team was wiped out in a putrid explosion and something else (happened so fast, couldn't really tell).

Correction on the first response, GW has noticably better graphics than WoW, that is expected though, considering WoW has so many more people on a map at once. I bought Guild Wars thinking it wouldn't have much grind, as the developers had always been touting, "Guild Wars is about skill, not time played". I was dead wrong. While it can't compare to MMORPGs like WoW or Everquest, if you want a competitive PvP character, you must grind. A lot. You can instantly create a lvl 20 (the max level) character for Player vs Player, but it will be limited to only the skills you have unlocked with a Roleplaying (player vs enviroment) character. Getting to lvl 20 is the easy part, you can casually do it in a week. It's the stuff that you do after 20 that will take a very long time. -Unlocking Skills: You get one skill in each mission (about 20), one for each level you obtain, and some from quests. Some regular skills you can get from quests, but the rest you must buy using skill points, or capture (there are "elite" skills that can only be captured), also using skill points. Heres the thing: If you want all the skills, your going to run out of skill points. You can still get more by "leveling up" once you are lvl 20, you don't gain a level, but still get a skill point, but that takes time, and grinding. To get all skills in the game would require beating the game with at least 3 seperate roleplaying characters. -Runes: For each level, you are alloted a certain ammount of attribute points, which you can put into your proffession's attributes, to a maximum of 12. You can boost these stats further, by unlocking and salvaging runes from echanted armour drops. A minor rune gives +1 to the attribute, a major +2 but -50 health, and a superior +3 but -75 health. Minors are easy enough to get, but the other two.. I've played 150 hours so far, and am at the end of the game, and have unlocked 0 of 26 superior runes. Zero, zilch, nada. Only 2 major runes, also. Now, if 150 hours = 0 superior runes, how long do you think it would take to get all 26? Who knows. You can always buy them from people, but that will not unlock them for you to use on a PvP-only character. You can only unlock runes by identifying them yourself. Kinda a long post, that may do little good to people who don't know what I'm talking about. My point being, don't buy Guild Wars expecting it to be all fun and no grind. It's not.

I liked Star Wars Episode I: Racer for the n64. I think they should make another :P

Consoles also offer a whole lot more value if your mainly into gaming.. My video card cost me $300 Canadian alone, and for just a couple hundred more I will be able to buy a far superior next-gen console.

I was very dissapointed with Nintendo's E3 showing, but I'm confident they will hold a SpaceWorld this year. That way, all the focus will be on them. Even though I am dissapointed so far, there is one huge redeeming factor. Super Smash Bros. Online at launch of the Revolution. Just that is a major contributor to the chances of me buying the rev.

Some of those laws are sensible.. giving whiskey to dogs, owning a handgun, beating rats with a baseball bat.

If I ever get a camcorder, I am so doing that.

Your reply had no relevance to my post. I was pointing out that you can't compare Sony & Microsoft's statements of power to Nintendo's. Before the Xbox/PS2/Gamecube were released, Sony claimed the PS2 could render 75 million polygons per second, and Nintendo said 6-12 million polygons per second for the cube. Just looking at those numbers would prove that the PS2 is vastly superior to the GameCube, right? No, Gamecube is the more powerful one. The PS2 would never, ever be able to render than many in a real game enviroment, with effects turned on. Sony uses raw, theoretical data while Nintendo only gives numbers that would actually be plausible in a game.

Don't be so hasty to criticize his video card etc.. It's not even a card. It's good that he doesn't have one, because you can easily buy one later for much cheaper. Same with the antivirus software, just cause none was bought doesn't mean none is going to be used. I would have just got 512MB RAM though and bought another 512 seperate, Dell charges a lot for it.. especialy when you get into 1GB sticks  (though there would be no point to buy so much on a single stick right now)

White chocolate macadamia nut cookies. Of course, the dough is always better than the cookie, so the best I have ever had was this bucket of white chocolate macadamia nut cookie dough, it was expensive though.

Also, some people may not understand how small the Revolution just is. http://media.cube.ign.com/articles/615/ ... 95079.html That glowing blue slot is the length of a regular sized cd/dvd.. And Nintendo stated it would get smaller still. Very unorigonal design, though.

If you know anything about the history of Sony, you know to not trust a word that comes out of their mouth. They are the kings of exaggeration, and will say anything to hype up their system. When Sony, and to a much lesser extent Microsoft, announced how many polygons the PS2 and Xbox could render per second, they gave raw, completely theoretical numbers of how many polygons could be rendered without any bells or whistles (lightning, textures, etc). Nintendo is much more conservative in their estimates. Well Sony may say the the PS3 is "30 times as powerful" as the PS2, that may be true, but only in technical aspects, it doesn't translate to scale onto real games. When Nintendo says the Revolution is "2 to 3 times as powerful" as the Gamecube, they are speaking from a different perspective, you can't compare the two statements. Now, onto the Sony's PS3 game footage. For the most part, it's fake, plain and simple. The only developers that showed off true game clips were Electronic Arts, Epic Games, and a few others. You can read a short excerpt from an employee of Epic Games here: http://www.gamersreports.com/index.php?sid=1479 That beautiful, breathtaking Killzone 2 clip? Nothing more than Pre-Rendered CGI. Now I'm not saying that the PS3 can't do stuff that good, I'm sure it can, but the fact remains is that you should take those movies with a grain of salt. Now, that was unbiased fact. Now onto my personal opinions :P I watched a bit of the MS and Sony conventions. Sony focused a lot on technical dribble, which would be boring to most gamers, unless they really fancy the technology. MS had the best conference from what I saw, it had decent demonstrations and gave a lot of information on their plans for Live, etc. The Nintendo conference was a flop. The GameBoy Micro was kind of neat, but the footage of GameCube games was unamusing, and ugh.. Mario Party 7. MP6 was horrible. Information on the Revolution was lacking. The PS3 looks sleek, but you can't move pas the fact that it DOES look like a George Forman grill when it is lying horizontal, or a high-tech fridge when vertical. The controller looks like a boomerang, it would be nice if Sony tried to innovate instead of using the same basic design three generations in a row, it's not near perfect. Both the Xbox 360 controller and system look decent, except for that round convex shape at the bottom (or right) of the system, for some reason in still pictures, it just doesn't look real! The Revolution is the worst looking imo. It certainly is tiny. Black is so last generation, I'd rather have silver or pearl white. Black could still work though, but the Revolution design needs some improvement. Of course we haven't seen the Rev controller, as that is the "revolutionary" part. Do not count the Revolution out. MS and Sony have played their hands, Nintendo still has something up their sleeve, I can feel it. Expect something big in the next two days.

I'm addicted to the internet, and video/computer games, but I rarely have fun. Like atm I am playing Guild Wars. It is better than any other game I have recently played, and while I should be having fun, like a normal person would be, I'm not. Nothing is fun anymore.

I thought you were talking about politics. I was about to say "Gordon Campbell in BC".

Don't listen to all these people bashing The Matrix Online when they haven't even played it. I played in the Beta stress-test, and I can tell you that I thoroughly enjoyed nothing. It is a terrible game. Most missions consist of "Go rescue this redpill (awakened person) from some bad guys, then take her to our hideout". Thats it. The game places way too much emphasis on The Merovingian. Apparently, the three powers in the game are the Machines, Zion, and the Merovingian. When I watchd the movies, I wasn't under the impression that the Merovingian was the leader of some huge force that rivaled the other two. This game would be barely worth $15 a year in subscription fees, let alone a MONTH. Do yourself a favour and instead play World of Warcraft, Everquest 2, or.. RuneScape.

A 64 3500+, 1GB RAM, and a plain old 6600? Seems a bit out of proportion. Your system deserves a more powerful card :P

As stated above, Guild Wars is being released in three days (two if you've preordered it). Technically it's not a MMORPG, as if you venture anywhere out of towns/outposts, the only players you see are those in your party. This is referred to as "instancing", and it eliminates spawn killing, lag from too many people in one spot, and the like. The graphics are amazing, as seen in any of these unaltered screenshots: http://www.guildwars.com/gallery/gwscre ... 9-lrg.html http://www.guildwars.com/gallery/gwscre ... 3-lrg.html http://www.guildwars.com/gallery/gwscre ... 8-lrg.html and with that, you would expect somewhat demanding system specs, but they aren't. I have a 3Ghz P4, 512MB RAM, and a GeForce 6600GT, and with the highest resolution, quality, antaliasing, everything, the game did not falter. You could run this game with an old, low-end card, or even newer integrated graphics. Just a shout to any Canadians: for the day of Thursday April 28, Future Shop & Best Buy will be selling Guild Wars for only $39.99 CAN, and a free T-Shirt thrown in (Future Shop only). With no monthly fee, talk about value :P

Ah I see. But I should tell you, I knew a guy named Nick in elementary school who actually wanted to become a janitor.

Uh, it should be pretty obvious why I am locking this. It is against the rules to discuss how to play movies illegally downloaded with a P2P application. You should know this :?

It's a shame. I'm an atheist, and I can't respect any organization that invokes such idiocy by being against homosexuality, contraception, and gender equality. Better luck next time, I guess.

I did this in paint, can u give it feedback please
Exarch replied to susta99's topic in Art and Media
I would smack you all if I could. Calling him an idiot for posting something he put effort into? Telling him to burn his computer? Never have I seen such negativty towards something so trivial. Susta, I rarely use MS Paint, so I can't give you much advice on using it. I can say that you should always try saving as a .gif or .png, as jpeg's cause a progressive loss of quality. Not sure if MS Paint can save as those though, but there are plenty of free illustration programs you could find that can. For starters, I wouldn't use a brush to write your name, it's just too sloppy. Your hatchet's could be a bit bigger, but contrary to what some of the previous responders may think, the current size of the axe heads are a little larger than the palm of the guys hand, which could easily be the true size of a small throwing axe. To the completely unproductable flamers, smarten up. -
Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon - Made little sense, and any that it did was wierd. I don't know if it was just the limitations of translations, or the movie was really meant to be this strange, but I didn't like it. Reminded me of things like the plot of Metal Gear Solid *shivers*.

Yeah, as darkrick said it's better to eat many small meals than a few large ones, or at least thats what my humanities teacher says (he is a big bodybuilder) :P
