  1. You know whats even more annoying? It was actually U-100 not 570 or 571, it wasnt even a 500 series. U-571 was however a real german U-boat, a Type VIIC submarine, it was just completely unrelated to the enigma capture. Also its worthy to note that this Worlds War I event remained secret for thirty years. President Franklin D. Roosevelt was only told by Winston Churchill in January 1942, part way through WW2. Silly americans, why do they produce such drivvel and historically incorrect movies. I bet if you asked the average American who captured the enigma machine they'd say it was Americans who found U-571 (which wasnt even involved in the event) I liked U-571. Of course after watching the movie I looked it up on Wikipedia, like I do everything. It's an entertaining fictional story.
  2. Battlefield Earth Hero What Boy's Want (Not sure of the title, something like that) There are probably more.. but I can't remember any I've see at the moment.
  3. Just an important tidbit regarding the DS: The full story can be found here
  4. i am typingthi8s with my nose. one error :? nose's are easy. Here comes my toes, with socks on! And my keyboard is pretty high too! _i am t6y Blargh.. somehow I managed to move the curso to the beginning of the line then hit _.. oh well.
  5. Agreed. The best card your going to be getting on the nVidia side is a 6800 GT/Ultra, but your next computer won't be able to use it, so its an unwise purchase. You should just cope with what you have now and buy a whole new setup when you can afford it. If you want to still get RAM for now, get PC3200 (it will clock down to 2700), so that you will be able to use it on your next motherboard.
  6. It's not you, he does have a longer than usual neck.. good work though.
  7. I don't even think my Ti-83+ can do that. I bought it used, so it didn't come with a manual. Is there a way it can solve equations for variables, and how?
  8. Quickly before I leave to school do a search for "Warp Pipe" It might or might not be the same thing It's not  Warp Pipe only works with LAN games
  9. I haven't investigated into it, but apparently some people have devised a way to play any multiplayer Gamecube games (even those not LAN-enabled) online. At a brief glimpse it looks like it requires Phantasy Star Online, and the broadband adapter of course. You can find the thread about it in the general melee discussion at http://www.smashboards.com - I'm too poor to be bothered trying it.
  10. I happen to quite like the 80's actually. granted its not as good at the rocking days of the 70's and the brit pop era in the 90's but its not completely awful Guns N' Roses, Depeche Mode, The Eagles, Aerosmith, Fleetwood Mac, David Bowie and Clapton. How dare you wipe those artists away in a lame generalisation. I only heard of them yesterday, and it's a new song, but I really like Depeche Mode - Precious. Heard it in an episode of Smallville. :P
  11. A Perfect Circle - Passive Remy Zero - Save Me The Arcade Fire - Rebellion (lies)
  12. not as good as my other terragen sig, but oh well.. this one is new.
  13. It was just terragen. I downloaded World Machine after I read your message earlier, but it looks too complex to learn quicky.. and I don't have enough time at the moment to do anything that can't be done quickly :P
  14. The last movie I can remember watching was Grosse Pointe Blank last week (I've seen it a couple times before though). Great movie. It's about a professional hitman that travels back to his home town to attend his 10-year school reuinion (played by John Cusack) :P
  15. I haven't used terragen in a while (and even then I didn't use it much), but tonight I downloaded the new version to see the "3d preview feature". Spent a while in in, then it crashed  I opened up a save of my worldfile, but everything seemed to be reset.. so I just did something quick, and the rest was done in PS. Two additional versions, not as good as the original though: The text was all quickly done.. I have this condition where I have to finish something the day I start on it.. Right now I plan on doing better text for them, but I will probably never open the PSD again :? I do plan on using terragen more though, thumbs up to the 3d preview/viewer :P
  16. I haven't seen the movie, might rent it when it's out on DVD, but I did watch a trailer/teaser for it a while ago (like E3 2004). It contained tons of fancy words strung together meaninglessly, making it sound like real nonsense, so your comments seem plausible to me
  17. Eh.. I don't really save them in a position where I could alter the text, but perhaps in the future I will make some with the intention to sell/give.
  18. Usually it takes me a few hours for a sig, because I never finish what I started. I begin with a plan in my head, but that either doesn't work out, or I discover a better use for what I have done so far along the way. The end results rarely look anything like what I had expected. For example, this sig: started off as this:
  19. I never have used brushes much. Most of my stuff comes from selection tools, gradients, blending options, filters, and the occasional dodge/burn. Decent job on your sig, it's got a bit of aliasing.. you could probably fix that with a.. blur brush :P
  20. I marvel at your ability to fit 58 300x150 frames under the limit.
  21. Made this yesterday, it is crude, quickly done, and way too big to ever be used, but oh well: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/ ... lsig02.gif (Warning - is 200 Kilobytes)
  22. Just did these two tonight: What do you think? The second is supposed to have a sketch flip-book kind of effect, I guess. And some other static sigs I've made lately. Some are obviously not fit for consumption, but I thought I'd include them for a little contrast/comparison. The last one is just a stretched version of my "Name that Artist" entry:
  23. Sadly I have not been able to play Melee with other humans. Because of this, it is my second favourite GC game, F-Zero GX being first. I'm sure SSBM would be first if I could play it with other people though  My character in SSB was Link. They made him slower and heavier in melee though, not as nimble as I would like.. so I had to switch over to another sword-wielding character, Marth. Theres not much to do against bots.. I can shorthop and wavedash, but there is no point against the AI so I am not well practised in it. I occasionally face off against an AI captain falcon, and either down+a/blue [bleep]e him to death, or defeat him pascifist-style (he is prone to side+B suiciding off the edge).
  24. I know about these, but I have a Logitech MX-510 mouse, and use the extra buttons to go back/forward and go to the next/previous tabs :P
