  1. I've tried being being reckless with my Mach 3 Turbo, but it is simply impossible to cut yourself with the blade under normal circumstances (ie, the blade isn't dull as cabbage). What's the big deal with shaving? It takes two minutes. Get yourself a good razor, at least a 3-bladed one (disposable or not), or an electric.
  2. Dang the opposition for forcing the election less than three months before I can vote. Who would I vote for? Either Liberal or NDP. I already knew what I believed in before I found out what the parties stood for way back, and I was suprised to find that the Conservatives are polar opposites to me on almost every issue. There is just no way I will ever vote for them, despite how naughty some Liberals have been.

  4. Actually, Turok: Rage Wars had seconday fire on it's weapons, and was released a good half year before Perfect Dark  EDIT: From the IGN review of Rage Wars, I found this: You forgot to mention Timesplitters: Future Perfect, btw :P
  5. Everything looks great, except the parking building. It looks like each level is magically floating in the air, even if that is how one may look in real life. You should add pillars in the corners of it. Also, when you do the colouring, you might want to make the helicoptor's rotors into an elliptical "blur".. hard to explain, but you know what I mean. As it is now it looks like the helicoptor would fall out of the sky (but of course that is expected as you are still doing the outlines).
  6. This was done for a joke of a class I have. Have four things to do, one of them a 400x600 image using no photos etc. I had to document everything I did, including the sizes, colours and settings of brushes when I used them. For me, it ended up being seven pages in Word. I couldn't really do what I wanted to because I had to record every dang thing I did, and I was using PS Elements 3.0. Please ignore the bad burning job & mantle lights  : Two stages of development can be seen here: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/ ... eplace.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/Exarch/room1.jpg
  7. Whatttt? I'm pretty sure you mistook "worst movie ever" for "best movie ever? :P Watch what you're quoting..
  8. Dimensions: 1024 x 768 Name: thunderpire (I just make up wierd names while saving things, means nothing) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/ ... rpire1.jpg I can't work on things for extended periods of time in photoshop, I did this in two nights. Quickly done, I made no effort to make straight lines.
  9. We all hate it, don't we? Well, I've had enough of my caps lock key, it is nothing but a nuisance when I accidently hit it. Does anyone know if there is a way I can disable the key from registering in windows/3rd party software? I don't want to do anything to my keyboard like remove the key :P
  10. I bought an MX-510 when stores were clearing them out for the newer MX-518, so it was cheap. After the mail-in rebate, it came out to about $22 US (tax included). It performs great. I have a left, right and scroll wheel button, two buttons on the side that I use to go forward/backward in browsers, and two buttons in front of and behind the scroll that I use to alternate browser tabs or mIRC channels. The only button I don't use is the far back one, it's too inconvenient. See the original poster's pics, that's the mice. The only differences between the MX-510 and 518 is that the 518 has double the resolution, and added sensitivity settings (something like being able to quickly change them, useful for gaming).
  11. I don't know much about music, but I haven't heard people talk about these bands before.. I listed a couple good songs from each. The Arcade Fire - Rebellion (lies), Neighbourhood #3 (Power Out), Neighbourhood #1 (Tunnels) The Tea Party - Heavens Coming Down, Walking Wounded (apparently the lead singer of this band left this year)
  12. First test: Second test: Third test: It went downhill from there. The word that screwed me up the most? AOL. Attempting to type it in caps would result in AOL> Stupid AOL.
  13. No. Do not believe anything you hear about SSBR, they are all lies. The only thing that has come out of Nintendo is that Iwata is pushing for SSBR to be ready for launch. To the first poster, where on earth are you? Never has Shiek been considered a bad character, in fact, most regard her as the most potent.. My character is Marth, because he has a sword. I was Link in SSB, but they made him too heavy (and thus, slow) in Melee for my tastes. Roy and Marth may look similar, but they do not play the same. Marth's sweetspot on his sword (more damage+knockback) is at the tip, on Roy's, it is close to the hilt. Marth's down+a is a terrific [bleep]e, Roy's rarely works as one. Marth is floatier (falls slower) than Roy, which makes him better for making it back onto the stage, but also means he is easier to juggle. Those are only a few of the differences.
  14. Fairly quickly done, about two hours (Relative to how much time I've wasted in the past, that is short). I haven't yet decided on which of the five versions to use, so I'll show em all :P I intend to go back and work on it more, specifically the text, the black cloth/flag thing, and the scepter handle.. But I say that to myself on almost everything, and I never have gone back after putting it through imageready :? 1 2 3 4 5
  15. Runescape says you need something like a 300mhz processor and 64MB RAM to play the low-detail version, but that is not true*. I had a 500Mhz Celeron and 64MB RAM; it would not play at all. I put in a stick of 128 (total 192), and I could play both the high and low detail versions, so that is what you should upgrade. *It's been a long time since this incident, so it is a little fuzzy to me. When RS2 was in beta testing, I got only a grey screen when trying to load the game, and for a brief moment, a line of text that ended in "mem=low" appeared on the bottom of the client. I suspected that the client detected how much memory I had, only found 63 because 1MB is dedicated to my integrated graphics, and wouldn't let me load the client. I sent in a query, didn't get a reply, but I think they did fix it (here is the part I am fuzzy on, I am not sure if that was actually the problem, and if they fixed it or not). You have integrated graphics, so if that is the problem, getting any ammount more of RAM should do the trick. If not, I still bet it's the RAM, so get as good as your motherboard can handle (my mobo had two slots, one with 64 in it, and the other with a maximum allowed of 128)
  16. Graphics - 8/10 Monsters? - 7/10 Weapons - 6/10 Overall - 5/10, because I factored in the most important attribute, gameplay, which you neglected to include. The gameplay is mediocre at best.
  17. He was most likely talking about a brand of graphic tablets, rectangle pads that you can draw on using the included pen, and it shows up on whatever program your using (photoshop etc). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wacom
  18. yeah, it looks more like a regular ipod than a nano, it's too wide :P Looks good though.

  20. When I drink milk, I almost always drink it out of a solid (not translucent) glass or cup, it seems to taste better. Chocolate milk is exempt from this, and I can drink it out of either opaque or translucent glasses.
  21. Grade 8 - 12 (Present). At the beginning of grade 8 (first year of high school in Canada) I kind of got addicted to a game.. *cough*runescape*cough*. I ended up not doing homework, then skipping school because it wasn't done, which made me miss even more work, etc. Changed schools, and for some other reason the same thing happened (had quit RS temporarily by then). I went back to the 2nd school at the beginning of grade 9, but only lasted a few months. I only attended about 6 months of grade 8 & 9 combined, but somehow I am in grade 12 now and set to graduate on time. I go to a continuing eduaction/alternative school thing though, like half the people are young adults who never graduated. In the switching of schools I lost like all my friends, I haven't really had one in four years. I've developed some social anxiety, it's not too bad, but I sometimes get really nervous and flustered when talking to strangers my own age. It's been getting better since I started working last year, I think, but I'd say I'm still in my social slump :?
  22. The Arcade Fire - Rebellion (lies)
  23. You have the english version of 99 luftballoons Edge :? The original is so much better!
  24. For 4+ years I had 1.5 Mbps down ADSL, but my provider got worse and worse.. It got to the point where some times I would be disconnected every 5 minutes for 2-3 days straight. I phoned and they fixed whatever the problem was, but within a month another problem would creep up. I also never got close to the 1.5 Mbps speed, it was usually around 1-1.2. In the summer a few months ago I switched to 5 Mbps down/512K up Cable. It is $5 more, but I almost always get close to the max speed (so 5x that of my ADSL), I haven't experienced any significant problems, my latency is a bit better (suprisingly), and triple the bandwidth (though the ADSL provider was never strict about it). I wouldn't switch back to the ADSL if it only cost $5 a month, it is inferior in every way to the connection I have now (speaking specifically about my previous provider, Telus).
  25. I have a feeling the Xbox 360 will dominate in North America, and do well in everywhere else but Japan. The PS3 & Revolution will grapple for 2nd place, significantly behind the 360 though.
