See, I just plant Ranarrs or Irits (whatever I feel like at the time) in every herb patch, go do something for a while and then go harvest. Even if one or even two of the plants dies, I -still- make a load of profit off the ones that survived. It's not an active skill, it's more something to do in the background while you train your real skills. :?

This post is not directed to the post above mine, his post just reminded me of this. To all the people who go on about server rental costs .. give me a break. A company 1/10th the size of Jagex can purchase and maintain their own servers, the server costs are not as high as you think. Jagex's main worry would be taxes. I dunno' how taxes work in the UK, but if it's anything like the U.S. then a 7 foot tall guy named Molly comes around once a year and stuffs half your money into a burlap sack, which he then throws into an armored vehicle and it is never seen again. Blahhh ...

Lol .. 600 players. Jagex spends 600 players every night on hard liquor and loose women. Jagex will only die when they have no customers and YOU sir are not helping the matter. :lol: You know that if you have a greater chance of getting nests, that you're going to get more nests? As unclean as it makes me feel, I'm gonna' go with Bloodveld on this one. We're not talking about him cutting 100 logs with a SRF and 100 logs without. This person chopped logs for an entire month to gather this data. If this item really does make a difference it would be statistically impossibly for him to get the same number of nests using it as he did when not using it. Or at least, certainly we can all agree it was a gross exaggeration on Jagex's part when they said 'Greatly increases'. Maybe their idea of greatly increases is 0.5% or 1%, which of course would hardly be noticeable even if you chopped 100,000 logs.

You'll still have to do something in game to make it work. All that does is change screens, not reset the auto-logout. If you would read my post carefully ^^ you notice I said hit Alt + Tab and then your left or right arrow to keep from logging out. By left or right arrow I mean, rotate your screen to stop the auto-log. Thanks for trying, though.

I remember the one where every throwing knife you equipped gave the range bonus, instead of just one bonus for all the knives. People going into the wildy with 100% accuracy with knives ... I never got to try it though! :cry:

To the Tip.it community! Keystroke that will solve all your problems! Alt + Tab switches between any windows you have open, hold Alt and tap Tab and you can switch between two windows in about 1/10th of a second without even moving your mouse. If you're doing something safe, like fishing, you can just do this keystroke every 15-20 seconds, tap your left or right arrow to keep from logging out, then continue reading/typing on whatever page you were just on. NOW YOU KNOW!

A Ninetails is a whip with nine thin flails instead of one, and has rocks or other hard obects woven into the leather. If you've ever used a whip in real life, you realize that speed really is the big advantage over other weapons. If you can get room to swing it, you can hit beat someone with a whip faster than you can with your hands, because it doesn't take as large of a movement. But I digress .. I suggested a while back Dragon or Runite whips, as in whips with blocks of metal tied into them. That'd be a good crushing weapon. =P~

Not to nit-pick, but 1/10,000 is 0.01%. The percentage you stated is 1/1,000,000. But thanks for trying. :wink: Anyway, no matter how slim the chances are, it's certainly gotten me doing clues again. What are the chances of getting a Robin Hat and a Gilded Plate in the same clue? But I've done that, and seen it done by other people.

This one happened last night ... I was killing the Green Dragons in Lv20-25 wilderness, in World 6. Being a newb PKing world, there were alot of 70's and 80's also at those dragons, probably having wandered there from Edgeville. There were no less than 5 Lv80's all attacking each other. They would fight, teleport, run back, and fight some more, and nobody seemed to be getting anywhere. Eventually, it grew very irritating, not to mention they were taking all the dragons. On my return to Edgeville, instead of re-stocking my food as I usually would, I grabbed some runes and Ghostly Robes. When I got back to the dragons, I found (this was too perfect ..) three Lv80's standing next to each other. It was a simple matter to turn on the 15% mage prayer, Ice Burst them to hold my victims in place, and Smoke Barrage them to death. Somehow (and I still haven't figured out how), none of them were skulled, even though they'd been fighting non-stop for half an hour. Oh well ... I got enough Dragon Bones and hides between themto fill up my inventory, so it saved me about 10 minutes killing those dragons myself. :)

I know RS is an open ended MMORPG, and therefore has no true end, but I'd say anyone who ... Has all Lv99 skills Has the most powerful equipment for all three attack styles Has 2,000,000,000gp in the bank Has completed all quests Has completed all the mini games to their fullest potential (Best CW armor, all PC equipment, Lv5 in all BA jobs, etc.) Has at least one rare Has 'beaten' the game of RuneScape. That is my definition of 'maxed out'

If you went for Rune Arrows in the Fight Caves, this would pick them all up you know. So blah .. Or no wait does it only work with a certain type of arrows?

I think the reason RO was so appealing when I first started playing was that it was -new-. You say RuneScape has alot of variety, but after three years it gets a little old.

But like I said, you can make multiple characters (in fact, the update on Tuesday brings maximum # of characters up to 7), and there are 18 different classes to choose from. And! When you reach Lv99 you have the option to 'Transcend', where you start over at Lv1, but as you develop you get more powerful skills than normal characters. (As in, if you are a Wizard and you reach Lv99, you can Transcend into a High Wizard, giving you wider skill options and higher stats.) I'll admit though ... the price isn't very high, but it's higher than RS. That was one of the differences between the two that I chose not to list, since price doesn't really affect gameplay. Also, I'd like to change comparison #5 to a draw between RS and RO. True, it's nice to not lose items when you die, but fighting bosses in RO doesn't really get my heart pumping because there's really nothing to lose. When I go up against the KQ, my adrenaline is flowing, I break out in a cold sweat, and my heart is going 100 beats a minute, because there's some rick involved. So yeah, that's a tie on comparison #5.
