you wanna know how strict runescape auto logout is? While cooking, from the time you stop cooking your last lobster, you have 20 seconds to move the mouse...In other words, if your looking at forums, reading a good post, and you stop cooking, you have 20 seconds(not very long, as i know it took me more then 20 seconds to type this) to get back to the rs screen and click

I usually go to pee and come back to find out I'm logged out

also, the only way to move the camera angle is to click on the screen...so you actually have to click on the screen first.

My mistake, I thought it was just frowned upon. But that wouldn't prevent people from complaining about it.

I think we should have longer, right now I can manage to fly down my stairs and get a drink and get back with like 2 seconds to spare. The only downfall to this is that about one in every ten time i do this i end up hurtin my self. Jagex Y u MaKE mE Hurt MySelf!

i agree it is too strict, you can be woodcutting and click on the tree watching the screen and all of a sudden you get logged out before the tree falls.. :?

I Think It Could Be Extended a little longer, Like to 1 and half minutes - 2 Mins, I Usually go to get something to eat and come back to find myself logged out :(

If you would read my post carefully ^^ you notice I said hit Alt + Tab and then

 

 

 

your left or right arrow to keep from logging out. By left or right arrow I mean, rotate

 

 

 

your screen to stop the auto-log. Thanks for trying, though.

I thought the auto-logout time was two minutes... :oops: :oops:

You can time out while firing a full load of pots, so I'd assume that while cooking, the countdown begins from your last input, not from when your actions finished.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Smelting a full load of Iron is another time when the timer can get you.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It IS too tight, it never used to be as bad!

Is it as short as 20 seconds? I don't think it is. I can smelt/cook a full inventory before being logged out.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In saying this... I certainly wouldn't complain if they decided to increase the inactive time allowed. :)

I agree, if I go to look at forums while cooking and I come back, I've been logged out..

And people complain about getting into worlds right now... Bet you'd love it without an auto log off.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And AFK'ing is against the rules, so perhaps next time you browse forums, log out of RuneScape, or don't complain.
