Malhavok
I think I like the new version better than the old one. I mostly used mith arrows anyway. An the new ability to pick up arrows with a clear line of sight is awesome. Bear in mind you now have to attack from most likely outside the creatures roaming area, as behind rocks, walls etc will block the retreive ability. So far I have experimented and find that it picks up about 99% of arrows fired, even brutals. It certainly will add a new dimension to power-ranging ! =D> Geaux Tigers ! Congrats on a great year ! wakka102
it's nice accept that people usually use barricades when ranging. :(

Darkluniux
Idk.. As long it doesnt spoils the safe spots, i mean, if it is able to get 'em trought a skeleton or a rock i'll be fine because, i liked very much the bility to make arrows by doing nothing, but the idea of it picking the arrow sfor you is awesome, i will range common med levels monsters if i donno need to pick uo the arrows :) http://darkluniux.blogspot.comBehold my blog! Bobbington
I think the new version is far better, I have not yet tested it, but I simpaly saw no point in using the original with its slow colect speed. The change came about from suggestion on the official forum which Mod Newmatic (the developer) responded to. I was very supprised when Jagex did this, as i dont remember jagex making a major change to a quest reward in the past. Nice one jagex!
Masterd99
I didn't like the old version at all, the new one is awesome though. It picks up 99% of my arrows I fire which works well, especially when i'm fighting a monster that takes up 2 spaces so it can be behind an obstacle but the accumulator still works because I have a clear line of sight. tomdavies90
a good place would be at fire giants the door safe spot (the one people use to get them non aggresive) that would be a good place to use it at Sig by me....
Stilev
i haven't used the new 1 at all yet but i liked the old 1 kuz i got around 4k steel arrows off it depends on how much slower it is, and if it can pick up knives

das1330
i like the new one better. the old one's collection rate was so slow i just wore my old cape but this new one will be great for training
Malhavok
As far as the ogre cage, I would say no, as I am thinking a clear line of sight would mean no obstacles that would block normal walking. But I could be wrong. As for PC, that would be my next training area. But normally my arrows go behind the portal when I attack from the front. Does the accumulator work still? Geaux Tigers ! Congrats on a great year !
Peronix
I think it's awesome. I don't normally range things that are behind cages anyway; I do black demons, blue dragons, and things like that... and the 'safespots' you use on those involve the 2x2 monster getting stuck trying to fit through a 1x1 walk space... which means that the accumulator works in these instances because it dosen't block your path. Kashi
If you went for Rune Arrows in the Fight Caves, this would pick them all up you know. So blah .. Or no wait does it only work with a certain type of arrows? My greatest ambition is to kill every member of the human race. However I am a realist and therefore know that I probably wont be able to. Peronix
If you went for Rune Arrows in the Fight Caves, this would pick them all up you know. So blah .. Or no wait does it only work with a certain type of arrows? This functionality operates for all arrow types commonly in use. So it should work with rune arrows. So yeah, this could be a nice way of spending less money in fight caves; rune arrows tend to break a lot less than lower ones, too. Though, crystal bow still has a ton more ranged attack bonus; I think that's more why people use it.
cowmasta13
It doesn't work with Lathas camp, if anyone is wondering. I haven't tried it anywhere else, though.

Malhavok
Will try hunter bolts and see. edit tried kebbit bolts . . .works ! Also can you not recover bolt racks in the first place? If not then I would say no on recovery with accumulator. Also you CAN shoot through people/monsters and still get recovery. Geaux Tigers ! Congrats on a great year ! deadmeet1234
i liked the old one, the +4 range bonus is very handy, and it was nice to pick up a few arrows while walking from place to place. The new one is also nice, although it doesn't collect as many random arrows, the fact that it collects your arrows you shoot is very handy (like for banshees, and other slayer tasks that i just power through without safespots using iron knives lol)

number1short
Haven't tried either of them our because I don't walk much. Dang, Jagex just removed the door at Lathas' Camp, because otherwise you could range from there! :wall:
