Answer a question = gives 10 rice to the hungry.
I'm not particularly fussed about charity though, and I'm sure there's plenty other people like me. I'd be willing to do this, but at the same time I'd realise that I'm not helping people anywhere near as much as someone who actually cares. Elitist charity seems a little odd to me.

Answer a question = gives 10 rice to the hungry.
Based on the FAQ page, I would guess that they want to make it a learning experience (improve vocabluary) while doing something to help the hungry. ~Rcty aka, keeping visitors on the site and thus looking at all their adverts. They aint doing it for the love of helping people, they are a profit making organisation. If anything at all goes that's still better than nothing surely.

Annoying nicknames
I've never had a nickname, but I make up lots for people I know, and for random people. The latest ones are The Wad (one of my lecturers) and Stress Boy (he's in one of my lectures). Other ones I like are Bawbag (a girl-friend of mine) K-Bag (another one, Bawbag's friend), and Mawbag (my mum. I'm most proud of this one). Bawbag is what Scottish people call a nutsack.

Why do blacks get special treatment?
Then why do some people get mad at the phrase "try to act black". Statistically, most ghetto people are black; hence the term "act black". It's all very racist. The scholarship program is trying to fix exactly this. The more help the "ghetto black people", the less "ghetto" they'll be. People get upset at the phrase 'act black' because it's a stereotype that's non-beneficial.

Why do blacks get special treatment?
Statistically I'm sure far far less black people can afford higher education. So, I suppose that's why.

Tongue Piercing...
I wonder what you're expressing with having a steel ball in your tongue though. I can see a tatoo having a meaning or something, but a ball in your tongue? I'm missing the point. Bubsa, you're not the only one, but I didn't really notice much difference... Oh, those crazy Dutch girls.

South park- Season 11 discussion thread
I thought the way Bono answered his phone was hysterical. "Hellooo helloooo!"

Gender Dysphoria
True, but I don't exactly know why the parents are disapproving of it. I'm not sure if it's because they've never been exposed to this kind of stuff, religion, or who knows what, but they seem reluctant to give sep a chance, and are so *can't find the right word, something along the lines of confused...* by sep's choices and behavior, they are trying to change sep back to being "normal", which sep doesn't like, and only give her/him/whatever the motivation to defy their parents. Even if the only reason sep is thinking/acting like this because of reading up so much on it (I'm not saying this is true), that still doesn't seem like the right approach to take. The same thing could be argued against any other psychosomatic mental condition, no?

Al Gore wins Nobel Peace Prize!
Seems like a politically safe choice for an award that should be objective.

Gender Dysphoria
I think I agree with Flamecaller. By that, of course I'm not saying he's 100% right (this seems to be becoming an essential addition to a post on these boards), but I do share his opinion.

Gender Dysphoria
This is one of the few subjects that still makes me cringe. I don't mean that in an offensive way, I think it just goes to show the lack of education on it.

What's Your Style?
I think to classify yourself is just being self indulgent. It's also a shame that people let tastes and whatnot define what they wear.

What do YOU know about Global-Warming?
All I know is... It's super super serial.

Favorite Ties?
It covers the shirt buttons and looks cool as hell. Suits look far too casual without ties.

Long hair
It seems like everyone on the internet has long hair and likes metal.

How much are you worth?
C'mon... It's "flawed" the same way the "RL pictures" are flawed; Inaccurate and frivolous. Yet rather than play along - which is what usually happends - or ignore it because it doesn't apply to you, this one "fails". Which is really the point I'm getting at; Defender just doesn't have enough e-credz for this kind of thread to work... I'm still unsure of why you're even trying to argue this BlueTear. I don't (and a lot of us do) think that our worth is simply measured by how much money we are making. The picture thread was (for the most part) pretty on the money for a lot of people by the way. :P . And, at any rate, it was mostly just exaggerating a point -- not supposed to actually mean this is what that person is exactly. The question he's asking isn't open for interpretation though. The definition he wanted to use for the word 'worth' was clearly outlined in the first post.

Justin Chancellor from Tool, Andy Powell from Wishbone Ash, Roger Glover and Ritchie Blackmore from Deep Purple/Rainbow/etc. Most recently I met Andy Gorham at the airport.

Peer Pressure?
Be assertive and say no. Don't rat him out. What I find weird is that he's trying to force it on you. If a friend turns down an offer, that just means more for me!

Senior Quotes
My 6th year quote was an Aldous Huxley quote. "My fate cannot be mastered. It can only be collaborated with, and thereby, to some extent directed. Nor am I the captain of my soul, I am only its noisiest passenger."

Wine or Beer?
I'm a big lager drinker, don't like ales or stouts though. Not keen on wine, but don't mind a bit of champers now and again.

Police.
I have quite good faith in the police force, at least in my (former) area. I've never been arrested for smoking a joint, because the police don't see it as a huge threat. Whenever I, or anyone else I know, has been arrested has always been for a good reason.
