  1. Thou shalt observe logic and common sense. Everything else will follow.
  2. The law of drink for me has always been "If you don't remember it, it's worse than you could possibly have imagined."
  3. There's a point where if you get drunk enough you can't not streak.
  4. Do you still dig graves? Or am I thinking of someone else? For some reason I quite fancy doing it - Would the hours be suitable for a student? (My lectures are like 11am-5pm max) Would you recommend it?
  5. Ha, these are excellent. I especially like Mad and Chris.
  6. Tool The Smiths The Libertines Babyshambles I kind of want to say The Rat Pack, since I've been listening to a lot of them lately, but I'll give it to the Dire Straits.
  7. There's a parody article about this from somewhere, maybe The Onion. It's about how the Metal Council is in distress at the metal horns being used for as small a thing as a celebration when someone starts their lawnmower first time.
  8. Isn't Ode to Joy just the last movement in the 9th Symphony? Or the bit that everyone knows at least. I'd go for Ride of the Valkyries.

I play Texas Hold 'Em, and occassionally 7 card stud and Omaha. Want to learn Chinese poker.
  10. Ha, me too. I saw them there on the R30 tour, and it was fantastic.

  12. I can't find a picture to do it justice, but I was going to make a poster of someone mentally handicapped, with "flying_death_bombs55" as the title, and "do we need to register to make posters?" as the quote. No offence. I hope you can see that it's quite funny.
  13. Family history on my dad's side is somewhat a myth, but the story makes up for it. My great-great-great-great (or something like that) grandfather had no living relatives, and moved in with a family who had the name I do now. He adopted their name after they died, and that's the name I have now.

I like more post-punk sound than New Wave, but the two are used interchangably alot. You pretty much named all my favourite bands from the genre, now including the Chameleons (thanks again). As for defining the style... There's a really artsy element to it. Clever lyrics, lots of ambience and atmosphere. To me it's music that, like punk, rejects the mainstream and corporate elements of music, but does it with alot more finesse. I would call Joy Division the archetype of the sound. The Psychedelic Furs, The The, The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Inspiral Carpets and Suede are all good bands to check out. I especially recommend the album Life by The Inspiral Carpets, and Psychocandy by The Jesus and Mary Chain. Suede's self titled is also good.
  15. You are in a constant state of win unless you are thinking about the game, in which case you are losing. My friends and I reversed it one time. The first time we 'won' the game was pure elation.
  16. I'm from Scotland, but I like to think of myself as British. I love Braveheart and all that, but I'm not one of those stupid dying for independence nutters. I've got love for the Union Jack.

Well, I'd have you in my house, if only to have some good music around. :P Maybe I'll just steal your list. Rizla, Darkrick, merc, Dusqi, and Daan all sound fun. I don't really know Bubsa, but yeah, he seems cool enough. Throw in Gijs and Necro and it's a party :D Except a little bit of a sausage fest. Uhh. Tanya and knives and that goddess chick can chill there too. Ahh, a bicurious hippy vegeterian Jew in a house with me? I smell a sitcom!

I already consider you an acquaintance, and that's more than can be said for most people here. I'm one of the many Dans from #darkwebz.

Two guitars sounds like it would fatten up Lateralus nicely to me. :P

I can do you one better - I'll be your guy to jam to some tool with. :) To be honest I don't think I could jam Tool. Jamming implies too much experimentation. I don't think I could top anything Adam Jones does. I'm not strong enough with my use of dissonance. Nice sentiment though. :)

Who says you have to be 18-21+ to drink? :-w You have to be 18-21+ to be able to keep up with a British person who is 18-21+. (Kiwi's and Aussies are exempt from this rule)

To be honest I think most people here are too young to fit into my house. I would pick Darkrick, BEAR, Rizla, Merc, Bubsa and Dusqi. The only other thing that would be required would be lots of booze. Girls are another factor, but I don't have a clue about any of the womenz on tip.it. It's possible I would add Warrior, just to have someone to talk about Tool with. EDIT: How could I forget Daan (How2pk). Probably the most interesting and real person on this forum.
