Death Note
I love the anime, it's my favorite of all time. WARNING: Watching this anime requires the use of your brain! There will be no DBZ fight scenes using energy balls!

Racism speculation
More or less  . It's worse when they don't realize it though :x

Racism speculation
The only time racism bothers me is when someone tells another that they were just offended by them, but they turn around and say "offensive" things about other races. I lol'ed at the tiny part, though.

High Alcs an Hour?
Is that it? Are you sure?

Olympics 2008
I thought they said something as to why they wouldn't do this. The olympics are there to decide who the best in the world is, not to see who gets the best score. If they get an even score, they've got to do further tests to decide who should be crowned the best.

High Alcs an Hour?
About how many alc's do you get per hour of: A. Serious watching/grinding B. Not fully paying attention/talking in game at the same time Thanks :)

Olympics 2008
Are you saying that both of them should get a gold medal instead of a tie-breaker?

Ads that actually work
what about the tv ads, newspaper ads, magazine ads I don't know anyone that buys something just because they see it on tv/in a magazine.
-
"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Just apologize for overreacting but tell him that you were really hurt for doing something so extreme.
-
Ads that actually work
Who even clicks those ads, let alone is stupid enough to buy them?

What do you do in tight situations?
I'm not sensing many truthful answers. The thread is "What would you do", not "What's the wittiest remark you can think of". On question 2, I doubt many people would try to make a joke out of the situation #-o .
-
"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
They're just playing a joke, lighten up.

Holiday Event Items, please come back.
See now you don't know something, anyway, they were originally dropped in 2002 like the pumpkins and christmas cracker and stuff, and then in easter 2008 event, they returned as a bonus after you completed event, you could get more chocolate for the bunny in return for another easter egg, there were 3 available. Didn't they melt away?

Olympics 2008
Well I guess I'm the first then, Bari. I know people as old as 18 who are as short as 5ft tall and look to have baby fat on them. On of my oldest friends can't grow facial hair and is mistaken for an 11 year old often ( ) So yes, I think she is old enough.

Holiday Event Items, please come back.
In terms of game hours, it shows. Sure, you can get a 99 within roughly 2 weeks, but you have to play like 12+ hours a day just doing that one skill. So lets say you do that, 12hrs x 2 weeks = 168 game hours (aka playing 1 week straight without logging off) I might spend 1 hour a day over the next 168 days training that same skill and get to 99. The first person who spent their whole day doing the skill is much *more* dedicated than I. But I've played longer than that player. No one cares how long you've been playing as long as you're wearing the cape. That's why 99s have nothing to do with the amount you play/how long you've been playing. @ssm, what easter eggs?

Holiday Event Items, please come back.
For one, he said skills show dedication, which was the point of what you were saying before, and do you have any idea of how much dedication it takes to get 99 in say summoning in a week, I don't even think it's possible, unless you started off with tons in cash. You're not making any sense. I never said the SLOWEST 99. And why do you suddenly say you're not blaming others for not telling you about runescape. You just complained about not knowing about the game and it wasn't your fault because of that  .

Holiday Event Items, please come back.
ssbm, you don't have to thank someone every time they defend you... Anyways, KingJD, if you think that skills show how long you've been playing, then think again. It's possible to get a 99 within a week or two of just beginning if you are truly dedicated. However, some spend years of playing to get just 1 skill maxed. N0valyfe is a good example of this, he didn't even play for very long before reaching #1. With the holiday items, it's a guaranteed thing that you have been playing since at least the day of that holiday item's release.

PK Anywhere: A Skiller's Dream Come True
Don't count your chickens just yet, you have no idea how this system is going to work.

Holiday Event Items, please come back.
It's your fault you missed the event! Where does it say that anyone's obligated to tell you about runescape? It's your fault for not asking around! I'm mad because no one told me when the Eiffel Tower was being built, so it must be their fault I missed the unveiling. Take some responsibility for yourself instead of blaming others.

Teachers Carrying Guns
At what cost? Placing a gun in the hand of every teacher will greatly increase the availability of guns and, in turn, the number of school shootings that occur every year. It's pretty simple. The more abundant firearms become in America, the more readily available these firearms are to criminals, angry spouses, disgruntled students, etc. It would be foolish to think that introducing more firearms will solve the problem. :| Did you even read the thread? Guns aren't going to be passed out at the front door of the school, teachers would have the option to train and get a licensed gun to carry for protection. I don't know where you got the idea that these guns are being handed out to criminals.

Holiday Event Items, please come back.
thank you... What would be the point of having the events every year then? You have to see it from the perspective of those who actually logged on during an inconvenience to do these events. And it does impact the game for other players. I don't think it's fair if a level 3 is walking around with a scythe that he found yesterday when he started playing. Having these items shows your true dedication to runescape and how you were with them from the beginning.

Runescape vs. WoW (RWT)
Interesting, but can't you pay money to change realms? Yes, but what's the point? Paying $30 extra dollars to move to a server filled with total strangers? Growing to 70 on one server has it's benefits, as you will have it easier in endgame.
-
Holiday Event Items, please come back.
what does this have to do with holiday events? That was the whole point of the holiday items...

Runescape vs. WoW (RWT)
WOW has separate realms, which means that you cannot change worlds with a character once you have chosen one. Because it is not like runescape where it is 1 giant economy, each world in WOW operates by itself. Because of that, WOW rwters have to keep lots of money on EVERY server in order to supply the demand. So whenever someone buys 10,000 gold for their character, only that server is affected and the other 100 are not harmed. Does that make sense?

A twist on obesity in Britain
No the site mentioned all that your school is doing to reduce fat kids. The numbers were still 13%, though.
