That wasn't a fight. It was dangerous stupidity and ignorance, not an argument over who plays the xbox next. I agree with agunimon 100% How is that ignorance? That word is used too loosely on these forums.

Why no protection to the KKK? I understand back when they were violent, yes, but why now? That's what's confusing me. People pick and choose what they think is morally acceptable and think everything that they disagree with should be banned. That's not free speech, that's communism.

You talk like a teacher is a crazy lunatic waving their gun in the faces of children =D> . I don't see why a classroom would be terrified of an adult carrying a concealed gun with proper training. It's not like there's a big bin of guns being passed out at the door to the teachers :) . If a group of kids are not nervous around their teacher who they know has a gun, whether they know how to use it or not, I think shows a serious problem in society. Guns should never be the norm, especially in a classroom. Kids don't care about things like training, it's the fact that that teacher has the potential in his pocket to easily kill someone. I wouldn't be afraid of the person that has my potential future in their hands if they have a gun. If you're trusting your career to a teacher, you might as well be entrusting your life.

And you know it has kind of always irked me how school shootings in these rural towns (such as the one I live in) get so much news and popularity, perhaps tongue in cheek popularity, but yet I would venture to say there are at least twice as many inner city shootings at schools or playgrounds than in rural areas. Yet no one feels bad for the inner city ones. No one even bats an eye. Far more than in rural areas. I'd guess at least 10x. It's not that people don't care, but it's just a common thing in bigger cities. In smaller cities where "everyone knows everyone", the school killing will make the front page. But in the big city, the bank robbery and mass murders will jump to the front.

I didn't even think of how a soldier feels to see a flag burning. I'm sure the rest of us looked it over, too.

Why do a lot of people claim that the Chinese government is evil and corrupt? We've already been over this in this thread, go do your own research and not follow what everyone else says (ironic, sort of like what people portray Chinese people as doing :x ).

Chinese people are naturally short and look younger than the rest of the world. But just because a girl is good at a sport, why does everyone automatically assume that she cheated to get there? Is it so hard to believe that she is actually old enough to be there? Besides, it's not exactly easy to fake you way into the Olympics. Another thing, why does everyone think the judges are stupid and robbed Nastia Liukin of a gold medal? I'd like to think that those x-olympians know what to judge rather than some random spectator :? .

co op is where senior students (at least where I live) get half of school off (12-4) every day to get a part-time job somewhere. Only kids with enough credits to graduate and don't want to take blow-off classes do this, though. I think it's odd that you only have school for 4ish hours a day. Are you taking only core classes (math, science, english, history)?

Where do you live? Or are you just a senior that doesn't have to take many classes? What about co-op for the rest of the day?

If they're stopping kids looking for attention, then the guns are still accomplishing something. Besides, I'd like to see a suicidal student be wounded and get some emotional help rather than have them kill several others before committing suicide.

Consider yourself lucky then. From what I know/heard 4 or 5 (maybe 6) people I know have tryed commiting suicide, More have cut themselves (one tryed to use a paper clip :wall: , one used a razor blade in the middle of class...An ambulance was called :wall: ). But back O.T, I don't see anything wrong with it, I really don't want some deppressed kid dragging my great mood down, or making me think like that. So cut the problem at the roots & it can't grow. Weeds will sprout at different places in your yard, however.
