magekillr
http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5iEhb ... AD92J09700 Well, not only just in America, but of course Texas would lead the way. This has been a debate in America for sometime; to let teachers/students carry concealed weapons on school campuses. The debate should be: "How do we ban guns completely?" Universities and schools are to be places of learning, and guns have no place on a school campus whatsoever. I dislike the idea of people thinking of themselves as the Universal Arbiters with a gun to "protect" themselves (which in my opinion is a crock of [cabbage]). They just want to protect their stuff and don't like other people "taking it", when items can be replaced, especially if they're insured. I don't feel any safer with "law abiding" citizens carrying guns than I do a criminal. So it's not so much the guns, it's the gun mentality and culture that this country cannot let go of. That said, I cannot wait to leave this gun culture behind... Note: this topic is not about gun control or gun bannings, but concealed weapons being allowed on school campuses. Kenshinjapan
I've seen a teacher get assaulted in class by a disruptive student after he was gotten on to. That teacher wouldn't have had her hip broken if she was allowed to carry a gun, I think it's totally fine. By the way, I'm from Texas :ugeek: . YOU! ATTEND TET EVENTS! CLICK HERE! Lenticular_J
I think it might be in the best interest of any potential discussion for you to remove the 'Only In America' from the title. It could go down a useless road. My thoughts exactly. That being said, if the teacher is trained by a police force/military and okay psychologically, go for it. If not, no. Also, well done! It's a known fact that states like Utah and Texas are gun clingy. Should I have made an allusion to the death penalty too? Or would that not have been fitting...? Lenticular_J
Also, did you notice how it's one, tiny school district? That isn't even a county? Not to mention Harrold being one of the most insignificant towns in this state. I doubt that entire district even has over a hundred teachers. EDIT: Fixed a typo. Those people must be pretty stupid. Probably all the inbreeding that goes on there. They are just savages. They just love killing. I'm sure all of them fit your image of the 'gun culture'. I'd bet that if someone broke into there house and was carrying away their t.v. they would just walk up behind them and blow their brains out. Probably happens all the time. The Dark Lord
Time to start looking at religious schools... It's a well-known fact that most Christian schools (especially Catholic) have ninja throwing stars in the shape of crosses. Either that or they just use rulers to break your knuckles or whatever. Those are weapons, too, y'know. They're cheap, but deadly. Would you rather have a teacher fire a gun in class, which could possibly kill you instantly or just give a flesh wound? OR would you rather be sliced and diced by ninja throwing stars and have a definite bloody, slow death, or possibly just be burned at the stake? SWAG Mayn U wanna be like me but U can't be me cuz U ain't got ma swagga on.

Range_This11
ever heard of depression? teachers dont make much and most of them arent married. especially if the students in the teachers class are disrespectful, its easy to be pushed to the edge. They might not make much money, but they do get 3 months off and once they're tenured, it's a very secure job. Believe me, I'm going to school to be a teacher. And that bs about most of them aren't married is far from the truth. With the exception of teachers that are fresh out of the universities, most teachers ARE married. EDIT: I did a little research and in my former high school 54 of the 63 Faculty members were either married or engaged to be married as of last year. So unless my high school is a statistical anomaly, I find your point to be moot.
