Someone beat me to it :-# . 300 million is just a drop in the bucket. Also, has anyone ever thought of what the Olympics does for the world? Countries are united in a peaceful environment to compete in games. Also, because China was the host country, they removed a great deal of the pollution in Beijing. Even with the hundreds of millions spent on the preparation of the games, a lot of the money will be made back through ticket sales and tourist attraction. If they can seat 10,000(?) people and sell each ticket for up to thousands of dollars, the host country could be in for a treat. Not to mention the Chinese workers that got jobs from constructing the stadiums and selling souvenirs. While Africa didn't get any money, a country with starving people that benefit from these games and can actually stabilize their own economy gets my vote.

I'm a giant death note fan :geek: . The night the show was released on Adult Swim, I promised myself right before the show came on that I was going to watch more anime over the next few months. Luckily, the next show on was a good one :ohnoes: . Riku, to address your post about age determining knowledge: Sure a kid could learn calculus by 4th grade, that's called a prodigy. However, If you're not one of the .001% children that are a prodigy, then age will more or less determine your general knowledge in school. Even though a 5 year old cussing has nothing to do with your education in school, age makes an impact on everything that you do in life. When bill gates was a teenager, he made software under a secret identity and was very successful. When his identity was discovered, his business failed. Why? He could program as good as any 40 year old, but that doesn't matter. Here's a few more examples that show age matters. Tell a 5 year old to grow beard, talk in a deep voice, ride a dangerous roller coaster, get a job, drive a car or be respected by an adult when cussing. Even though a 40 year old man shouldn't have to respect a kid that still wets his pants, there's no way that kid will be sitting at the bar with that same man having an in depth conversation that night. Conclusion: Age = overall respect

Serial killers are mentally ill, so they should get help and stop killing. It's the same with transsexuals. If fixing a serial killer is to get them to understand that killing is wrong, wouldn't transsexuals be fixed to understand that their original body is right? Possibly because of your life experience. Ages 13-20 can be the most influential years of a person's life. However, you're sitting inside reading a book with the door closed. Can you really call yourself experienced enough to make these decisions? Also, reading at a fast pace isn't something to base your life experience off of.

Although her situation sounds legit, people would soon abuse things like this (sadly) and unfairly win competitions. True you aren't being paid, but is that the only reason that these people play? The Olympics calls the best athletes in the world to gather every 4 years in 1 place. By doing so, the best of the best are determined. Well, I'm confused as to why these players wouldn't want to be considered the best players of the sport. Also, why bother putting sports like soccer and and basketball in the Olympics when they already have their own tournaments to decide the best teams every year? Just baffled my family when these were implemented a few olympics back.

Those chinese girls were 16. It's extremely hard to fake your age in an event as big as the olympics. Also, people need to lay off of the chinese culture (taking children away at age 3 to train) because of their dedication. It might not be what we are accustomed to, but it proves to be effective.

The current classic games will still be the classics of the future. The simplicity of these old games is what keep people playing them year after year. Games like halo become too repetitive, and people won't enjoy beating the same levels for 30 years #-o . Spongebob will also die in about 5 years, I'm guessing. Overall, most of the classics are likely to be the same. You're forgetting that times like the 50's and 60's were the years that rock n' roll and video games were invented. If pong was invented a short while after it did, we wouldn't be playing it today. Unless a different genre of music/games shows up, they won't bother adding more classics to the list :? .

Range along with prayer, magic, smithing, construction, crafting, and herblore are all buyable capes. Just, b/c they are more expensive does not mean they are not buyable. Range-Chinchompas Magic-Ancientz Prayer-D-bones and Poh...might be fastest skill to get to 99. Smithing-Gold ore How can you look down on fletching and cooking, while you highly upon these skills. They should all be under the same category. "Can be done in two weeks with enough money." Hunter is looked down upon too and you cant buy it. I can do that pretty easily. Range-Yes it may be buyable, but cost 3x more as cooking. Which means it takes 3x as long to get(i.e. making the money) and requires attention. I cannot stress that enough. That is the deciding factor in most capes. Magic-Once more, about 60m? 6x more than cooking and fletching? And you need attention Prayer-100m.10x more than either cooking or fletching. AT LEAST 10 times harder to get.And attention Smithing-You need money and attention for this. PLUS the low exp rate. I've never said anything about hunter. You see, you can get the money for cooking or fletching and never look at your screen again. All the above require constant clicking and a LOT more money. I got cooking before cook x and I strung yew bows to 99 with the string all option, is that very fair for people like me?

I've read this same topic dozens of times since the update came out and quite frankly, I'm sick of the complaining. GET OVER IT.
