  2. Worse, if you're running winbloze (my idea of an insult to Micro$oft about Windows) on your computers, you can't dump your current release of IE, because it's too deeply tied into the system. Literally, last I checked, you would wreck your systems trying to do that. :( ~D. V. "Micro$oft makes some software impossible to back-level..." Devnull
  3. Banned because none of the last 13 posts have come off sounding to me like as if 'Alucard' from "CastleVania: Symphony Of The Night" was voicing any of them. :P ~D. V. "I've got side-thoughts bleeding into what I'm posting..." Devnull
  4. Female voicing the Catch Phrase, "EVERYBODY DANCE NOW!!", to which then some music starts playing, and some people start dancing. Personally, I find that music piece that comes to mind very annoying. So here's two emotes to go with what I've just typed here... \:D/ <_< And your next thing to trigger a memory shall be... You Got Sarge'd! ~D. V. "No hints here... You figure it out." Devnull
  5. Heck, Jagex should get rid of that 25K unbalanced trade limit on new accounts, in my personal opinion. With the Bot Nuke already in-place, it's freaking unnecessary, and really hurts older players who are trying to bring newer players into the game. If they're not willing to do away with it totally, they could at least put a 600 Skill Total line before it would shut off, as that would stop most botters and rule-breakers before they became a threat! BTW, the above is only if Jagex isn't willing to give F2P access to Adamant Arrow Fletching and Chaos RC'ing. Right now, as it stands, F2P Range/Mage are both still damaged/incomplete, and this makes me even more torqued off. By taking away fully-powered F2P unbalanced trading with no way of self-recovery without paying $$$ IRL, it damages these worse. Heck, I think it's time for the "angry horns" to come out. ~D. V. "Even as much as I can't stand RuneScape anymore, I still get ticked off by this!" Devnull
  6. Dragonkng198, I suggest you get a different browser. Heck, I would suggest FireFox, but I've been hearing about and seeing bad things regarding it since version 10, including keyboard lockups regarding RuneScape. If you wish to give it a try anyway, get version 9 or earlier from Mozilla's archives. It should enable you to not have double-posting issues here. :o Just for the note of it, I'm still stuck back at FF 3.5.x-series due to some extensions that can't be upgraded. I've got some features right now that I would really hate to do without. I even had to shut off blocklisting because Mozilla started unnecessarily disabling my perfectly good extensions that I downloaded from Mozilla's Add-Ons site! (No, I don't have any malicious extensions!) Horrible, eh? It's like Mozilla is trying to force me to upgrade, and give up my feature set, by undermining/destroying my layout! :( ~D. V. "In need of a better browser myself..." Devnull
  7. In reference to the video: Now if we could just get all the non-relevant development teams stuck in that alternate dimension until the teams relevant to fixing the lag complete their work. The less changes to factor in, the better. Heck, maybe we could have all of them do testing of changes until they get it right? :P </rant> Like as if that would ever happen... Oh well... ~D. V. "Yet one more that can't really play due to the lag, causing them to rant..." Devnull (p.s.: I've got this bad feeling like someone is gonna flame me later... Please, just don't, as this post is partially designed with built-in teasing.)
  8. Banned because BlazeTMF didn't click the "Report Bad Ad" Link and report when they saw that bad advert. :P ~D. V. "I know it's not your fault. I had to say something. LOL" Devnull
  9. Platinum_Myr, they're only talking about truly offensive names that nobody is allowed to have. They're not talking about non-offensive names on accounts that got banned. You more than likely have a chance still to grab that name which you're looking for, but you'll have to try like crazy to get a hold of it. :geek: ~D. V. "I did a bit of reading to come to this conclusion..." Devnull
  10. Partaxx, I'll give you a 13/20 on this. Here's the major problem list: Came off feeling rather 8-bit at a number of points Landed up with a couple spots sounding too loud to play properly Had a couple background instruments that were acting way too foreground One background bit seemed like it was possibly playing too fast Ended up with a few bells and other instuments being too loud at their striking points There's probably more issues, but I can't think of them without replaying that piece probably enough times to annoy the hell out of myself. Well done, though, on trying to catch the spirit of that piece. I hope your skills improve as you make future versions and other pieces. :shades: ~D. V. "It could use a little work... You're on a good track, though!" Devnull
  11. Banned because you're undead, and I'm going to crumble you. <*pulls out a hammer, and smashes Neferast's undead bones into fine dust*> ~D. V. "You were just asking for this..." Devnull
  12. Nothing to throw at the next person? Shame on you. :shame: <*pulls the sword off the wall of Neferast's siggy, and stabs them with it*> Next word/phrase is... Clip Board ~D. V. "I've got a predisposition for destroying undead rule-breakers." Devnull
  13. Out of the small handful of accounts I've self-made, all of which I still will be using for at least holiday events, there's only 1 whose name I might want to change if Jagex knocks it. They had better not mess with the other 4, including my master name (D_V_Devnull), as I've got unique paths and personalities associated with each of them. <_< I swear, they touch those... <*smashes a brick in half*> ...Grrrrrr... ~Mr. D. V. "Jagex had better keep their hands off of my names, because I still use them..." Devnull
  14. Banned because I don't need the start of a flame war in here. :!: ~D. V. "The '!' Emote has a weird code to it..." Devnull
  15. Geez... This is like yet one more reason to dungeoneer solo. Since I'm a bit paranoid when it comes to dungeoneering, I guess it is a good thing that I go solo. :( ~D. V. "If there are jerks, avoiding may be the best option." Devnull
  16. Yes it does. Approximately every 400k, you get a random. You've got no frequency to compare it to with the old system, No frequency... Pardon me while I quietly laugh about that... I used to get them about every 40k-60k exp when training, and could even get them just by sitting in-game and chatting... If I was training really hard, I used to get two per session. Now, I get one maybe sometime every 50th session I go training, and I've tried training as fast as when I got a ton. I can't even get them by just sitting around anymore. Sad times, seeing the lack of randoms. :( Worked up? I'm cool as a cucumber right now, Kim. Anyway, it's not you I'm mad at, and your post gives me the indication like you thought I was mad at you. I'm honestly sorry if my post really came off seeming that way, as it had not been my intent. If I'm mad at anyone, it would be Jagex for not providing a frequency control slider. I remember such being suggested somewhere else before on the RSOF and/or TIF, other than this thread. If only it had happened... *sigh* ...At least I retired from RS, so I'm with the benefit of not being the crazy idiot I was back in 2008. -.- EDIT: Regarding this... For most of us, that timer clicks off too fast due to monstrous lag, and an evilly hard time finding the path through the maze. Consider yourself rather lucky that you get it as well as you do. You might have been one of us. ~D. V. "File me under 'depressed by the good days being unretrievable', would you?" Devnull
  17. --- BEGIN CLIPBOARD CONTENTS --- ---- END CLIPBOARD CONTENTS ---- <*tries to paste from clipboard, finds it empty*> Uhm... Not much of a thread, huh? :( ~D. V. "I think this game fell short of its' goals." Devnull
  18. If you want more, train more. I have already tried that, and it really just doesn't work. I seriously can't get them as fast as I did back in 2006, and that's the kind of frequency I want/need again. I would love having them even faster, if that's even possible. BTW, I would prefer not to fail any randoms, which might accidentally get my account flagged as a bot. I've never touched those pieces of junk programming in my life, I don't ever plan to start, and I don't want to get wrongfully banned. <_< ~Mr. D. V. "Right now, my only option for more randoms is a non-option." Devnull (p.s.: Kim, you might want to fix those posts up above that are missing their snapbacks... Just a thought...)
  19. Banned because they're nothing a good pair of shears can't deal with. Just be fast, and bury them hairless. ~Mr. D. V. "Heh heh heh..." Devnull
  20. Not true. In fact, I managed to collect the entire bunch of RECs (Random Event Clothes) at one point that F2P is able to gain access to in RuneScape. I even remember wearing and using them at least a little bit. Heck, I even took a screenshot of my having collected all the RECs and Emotes... ...and sadly landed up having to drop all of them because I'm 100% F2P, and couldn't play RS otherwise. I even managed to get a chance back when I took the screenshots that composed this image to do it when Falador was quiet in the Square. If I remember right, it was before RS HD and RuneTek 4 arrived, as well as before they removed Frog Tokens from the game in favor of their Costume Points System. Heck, I would pull out some of the RECs now, if I could return it to Iffie after in order to keep my points that I've built up. That, and the lack of Random Events, has really been the only things stopping me now from using my RECs. Who wants to try to use them when the odds of recovery are infinitely low? Heck, file me under upset at Jagex for not providing Random Event Frequency controls! I want more randoms, not less! <_< ~Mr. D. V. "There are still a few things that suck in regard to Random Events..." Devnull (p.s.: Unluckily for me, I got heavily disrupted while typing this. It is very likely that I've missed a thought or two, so I'm sorry if you're left with extra questions!)
  21. Barking annoyance <_< "Wuld Nah Kest" :?: ~Mr. D. V. "You can bet that I was going to look!" Devnull
  22. Banned for being a sheeple, damnit! ~Mr. D. V. "Where's my shears?!?!?" Devnull
  23. Already running with 4xAA on a Radeon HD 4650, and tried both DirectX and OpenGL modes. Nothing doing for me, and it literally doesn't matter what graphics settings that I use, as I get the same lag in any configuration. (Heck, it gets worse if I shut AA and some of the nice things off!) As for my estimates, that's from between reading about a dozen issues each of Maximum PC and PC World, followed by having full knowledge of how badly my FPS rate crashed after the Dominion Tower update (a P2P thing, which hit me even though I'm 100% F2P) on an Intel P4 Non-HT 2.4 GHz system. The information was a pain to stack together, but I got some really fast indications of how unrealistic Jagex's Test Bed must be these days. :-? Eh? My bad. Still, Jagex wouldn't have brand new high end computers anyway. You might be surprised. Particularly with the fact that non-gamer-minded investors are now in control of the company, and not people we used to know and like such as Andrew Gower. RuneScape was much better, back when he and his brother (Paul) ran things. Even now, I still wish for those days to come back, because RS was lightning-fast back then. ~D. V. "If only the new crew for RS had been better about checking all this stuff..." Devnull
  24. You're fired from the Turn-Arounds Club for getting way beyond too sickly sadistic with how you flipped things back in other people's faces. :shame: ~D. V. "Don't make me play it that way..." Devnull (p.s.: I think I'm going to step out of this thread for a bit. I feel overloaded.)
