Dire_Wolf, this one's been having this issue since Jagex released RuneTek 4... Jagex's Developers don't seem to give a dang about their unfortunate players who don't have the cash to buy a new system with a config matching one of theirs. Since the Dominion Tower's release, this one has also been having to deal with being trapped down at ~4 fps, and the anger that comes with being unable to do much of anything. This one can't even go play GOP anymore, and that's rather intolerable. Seriously, Jagex either needs to recode to match their listed System Requirements, or update the page to reflect what stupidity they have done with their ugly piece-of-[junk] game. Until then, here's a list of what this one thinks are their Current System Hardware Requirements for RuneScape... Quad Core @ 3.5 GHz/core minimum 8 GB System RAM (@ 2 GB/core) ATI/AMD Radeon X1###-series (or comparable NVidia GeForce 8###-series) or Higher 512 MB Video RAM DirectX and/or OpenGL support, 4x AA enabled, also capable of handling Jagex's inability to use fallbacks 1024x768 @ 32 bit Screen Resolution minimum, 1280x800 @ 32 bit recommended Multi-Channel Audio, with a driver capable of not choking on even Linux from Jagex's [junk] code ...and keep in mind, these are only this one's opinion from how badly it drags on their system. Good luck finding the $$$ IRL to even think of building a monster that's this powerful. Banned because the slow connection is not this one's fault. It has been acting this way since this one's parent upgraded Eset's NOD32 AntiVirus from v2.7 to v5, which apparently reroutes all connections for scanning (v5's new behavior) instead of passively scanning (v2.7's behavior) them. Sadly, it means that the connection is now operating about half as fast as it used to be. Thanks, in advance, for doing so. ;) For everyone else, here's the link that I was talking about, so you don't have to go through the same hoops that this one did: Now, regarding the topic of your video, if Jagex wishes to restore their players' faith in them, they need to temporarily remove any content currently causing the FPS to crash. However, they only need to do that for the time it takes to render that content to no longer cause the lag that is being seen all over the place. :ugeek: Amongst things is the Dominion Tower, which has even been causing FPS crashing on F2P players' systems since its' initial release. Worse, it caused people to not be able to log in during the middle of the Halloween 2011 event due to connection instabilities. (Those aren't totally fixed yet, from what I understand.) The recent addition of Sunfreet made it worse until the update following that one, because something in the Sunfreet update caused mouse control issues. There are probably an additional list of updates that really need to be pulled until fixed, but the Dominion Tower and all associated updates are the biggest one to come to mind at the moment. :huh: There's probably more to be said, but this one can't think of any of it right now. Update for Spimuncular -- This one's mouse has started behaving better since the last update, and they have found a trick or two (although it means closing programs this one should never have had to close) to gain a little more framerate. However, this one doesn't walk into the Hyt Fc due to the atmosphere in there. Too much lunacy for this person. I just read the Tip.It Copy of the March 2012 RS BTS. Unluckily, I'm feeling nothing short of wanting to scream and bang my head against a really hard wall. With the release of the new teleports for F2P, it will finish devaluing F2P magic. Further, it makes me feel like most of the magic levels I've put in will now possibly mean nothing. It's like Jagex was unable to care about balancing the F2P combat triangle, which Magic has always been on the downside of even with the RC'er Robe release. Sy, you've got a nice start there, especially with the nicely-stroked cartoon-variety hair. I look forward to seeing images of further progression, as well as the finished product. About the only thing at this stage which I might suggest is brightening it up just a hair (no pun intended) for those who have their monitors turned down. I'm glad to see Jagex finally thought to clean up their code for the Grand Exchange's CoinShare System. BTW, looking at this, all that Jagex needs to do now is to get rid of the 25K Unbalanced Trade Restriction for all new accounts. Once that's gone, and everyone realizes they need to put prices back into a... Finished Item (top price) > Mostly Processed (price near upper end) > Semi-Processed (mid-range price) > Partially Processed (slightly higher price) > Raw Material (price on the low end) ...state, then we'll find the whole market moving smoothly again with everyone happy and enjoying the game like it was back in 2005-2006. But this time, it will be without the massive bot overload. Plus, all the prices will go back to reflecting the levels that it takes to wear/use stuff. :thumbsup: Until then, enjoy the bumps in the road for selling things... or not. I know I won't be enjoying the waiting period, seeing as things like Mithril Platebodies are below their High Alchemy price on the Grand Exchange. RC'er Tiaras are also in the floor... miserable stuff.
