  1. Enjoy and have fun double-posting... I will simply enjoy dropping anvils on your feet. (Fixed the spelling error for you.) Hmmm... is it that obvious... or perhaps not anywhere near obvious, unlike what you think? 4453 ~D. V. "I will keep you all in the dark, for now..." Devnull
  2. 4458 ... 13 to go ... I'm not saying what about... :ugeek: ~D. V. "..." Devnull
  3. 4461 ... somebody go start the next page, please. ~D. V. "NINJA!" Devnull
  4. anim7, I know how you feel... End up having to solo dungeons myself, as well... Nothing any of us can do about it, though, seeing as some people just don't listen. :( ~D. V. "And I like to get all the exp there can be..." Devnull
  5. Waitaminute... <*feels envy*> ... How did Romy get up to Mod status so fast?!?!? Next thing I know, my inbox is going to get poked by Tip.It's Admins, because they'll have some really odd reason for wanting me to be a Moderator... Especially since I've been registered as part of the TIF community for near 4 years now... :ohnoes: Ah well... Congratulations to all of you, Littleboy, Romy, and Bad911!!! ~Mr. D. V. "I wonder if I've slipped into a parallel dimension?" Devnull
  6. 4467 ... add, cycle, add again... hmm... it's a three... <*suddenly hears something blow up nearby*> Oh no... not shades of an MIB joke... #-o ~Mr. D. V. "Uuuugggghhhh..." Devnull
  7. As far as I also know, there is no relationship. In my experience, it always takes about 20 minutes (or 20 to 30 monsters killed, whichever comes first) before the cb-level-based aggressive monsters I'm fighting quit being aggressive and become possible to pick amongst. Well, at least until a random comes along and yanks you out of the area you're training in. ~D. V. "I already know... It bites." Devnull
  8. I've been seeing weirder at the login screen. I just wish they hadn't blown the HD support again. It was perfect until they went to correct the Intel chipsets. Now the ATI Radeon 9200 (old, I know, can't do anything about it) on one PC is having issues again just trying to enable HD mode. :( ~D. V. "Jagex has a long way to go to fix HD rendering..." Devnull
  9. 4483 ... Hi there, run4runes. :) Still no giggle from star_in_the_sky, though, or any other female looking at this thread... What is it with women and their sense of humor being so extremely different from men, including those with twisted senses of humor, that men can't get women to giggle or laugh? :( ~D. V. "Heck, I even resorted to simple non-overkill slapstick humor!" Devnull
  10. Last time I checked, it sounds like "ooboontoo" ... Maybe everyone just has a different way to say the same thing? ~Mr. D. V. "Of course, I could just be messed up by my local influences as well..." Devnull
  11. Question at all who reported times for soloing a small dungeon: How is it that you only need 10-20 minutes, when it takes me 2 danged hours to get fully through and get everything? Is it because you're not worrying about turning everything in the dungeon to exp before you go? Or you're not worrying about bonus rooms? Or perhaps because you melee, and I mage? Or (under the header of "WTF") all of the above? I'd really like to know, dangit! BTW, cb 84 here ... probably near cb 85 as my siggy says... And I definitely think they should remove the cap against high-level players soloing. ~D. V. "I would like to know how the hell all of you speed through!" Devnull
  12. 4489 ... Wow... Can't even get star_in_the_sky to crack a smile, let alone a giggle... I must fail or something. -.- ~Mr. D. V. "..." Devnull
  13. 4493 Hmm... <*Walks past Napalm_Death and drops an anvil on their foot...*> ... Methinks you need to re-smith your brain. :shame: ~Mr. D. V. "Careful next time, dude..." Devnull
  14. Napalm_Death, before I cream Albel for what looks like a count-throwing double post, would you mind illuminating what happened to potentially result in this supposed post deletion that I don't have any real visual proof for? <_< 4510 ... that is, if I'm not also thrown off. ~Mr. D. V. "WTF happened here?" Devnull
  15. First off, welcome to the Tip.It Forums. I see you're new here, just by looking at your post count. ;) As for your idea, if the Tip.It Crew had the time and the resources required, it could be done. But, there is a severe problem with it... Well, two problems: Jagex does NOT allow continuous watching/scanning/polling of their server functions. And as far as I know, even the better fansites (Tip.It included) can only pull info from Jagex about one time every 4 to 6 hours and only when triggered by a user's mouse click. I'm probably wrong about the time limits, but I would need Administrator Pure_MageUK to drop in and tell us what Jagex allows Tip.It to do. :-? It could potentially visit severe crash-grade stress on the Tip.It website server, as this would cause a semi-constant periodic link with the server. Multiply this by about 2,000 (really more like 50,000) users all having the same page sitting open, and you've set up a really nice recipe for ugly disaster. :( As you can pretty much see, there are technical limits that would be near-impossible to overcome, and even if they were that there are still rules in place blocking something like this. Sorry to burn your idea down, though. Maybe there will be a chance in the future for something like this to happen? ~D. V. "I hate being an idea-killer." Devnull
  16. I suggest mage... While I'm only F2P, I've taken severe notice of the lack of mage-type players. Further, warrior-types always rush needlessly and never really take full advantage (e.g.: missing a lot of spare exp they could have gained) of a dungeon's design, and usually have at least one death amongst their group. There is a reason, after all, that the combat triangle applies so much more in Daemonheim... B) ~D. V. "When you're a mage, you'll notice a lot more..." Devnull
  17. 4552 <*ganks everyone with a sledgehammer who are asking him to explain it*> Not explaining it... Google without SafeSearch is your friend, if you really wish to know more. :ugeek: ~D. V. "Go jump in a lake, punks." Devnull
  18. I voted "Rarely"... I only seem to do it when I either get really bored, don't want to go on rs, or have a pressing matter on my mind. Of course, I find it depressing that most nobody talks in #runescape on irc.tip.it ... :( ~D. V. "They need to talk more..." Devnull
  19. 4568 I don't get it. I got it, and it ain't funny to me. They're talking about the ever-idiotic numeric slang for 'doing it' (as in, naked) and it really has no taste here. :shame: Which makes me think the person "lol"ing over it doesn't have any taste either. Might have to gank some taste into them. 4567 ... All in sequence... NINJA'd. ~D. V. "pwnt." Devnull
  20. Me too, didn't take me long to switch back. I missed the Linux command line too much. Windows is restrictive, illogical CLI and is useless and annoying to use. Fixed. Just kidding, Windows fanboys. Not a fan of either OS right now, but this made me LOL ... :twss: ~Mr. D. V. "ROFLMDCFLYAO!!!" Devnull
  21. @ Ampharaos --- FT3 is already out... check the news. :P I'd second this. Yeah, it would mean that the older software would be running on the server alongside the new stuff just a hair longer, and that new minigame/dungeon rounds would have to have a special stopper on them similar to what FunOrb's stuff already has for system updates, but it would definitely have the least negative impact on the players. That, and if Jagex had to pull a new update back, they could just a little more easily. Would only affect those who already loaded the newer stuff, which should only be a small percentage. Yes, would mean just a little extra handling for "pulled updates", but would ultimately benefit Jagex. :geek: Off-topic: Now if only Andrew Gower would spot the RS post-exit File I/O errors... I tried making a thread in Tech Support on the RSOF about that, but ran into the idiot known as "Mod Chris E" (whose name is also on the DirectX Graphics Update, so beware it) ... Thread doesn't exist anymore, no thanks to them... So damned far beyond severely angry about this... <_< ~Mr. D. V. "Jagex definitely has something to work on here..." Devnull
  22. TBH, Jagex needs to give considerable advance notice on Non-PvP worlds, now that they released Dungeoneering. I would have to say that a full hour is their best bet, seeing as even 30 minutes can be too little of a limit to properly finish an already active instanced dungeon within. And they should even instate a measure that blocks all new rounds -- be it a minigame, instanced dungeon, or etc. -- starting during that countdown as to prevent accidental kick-offs. It would effectively and permanently neutralize all possibility of someone ranting because they lost something that they were trying to gain. And heck, for PvP they could make it so no attacks could be launched during a system update timer sequence, albeit they'd only need to give those worlds about 10 minutes as they've always done. :geek: ~D. V. "Longer on Non-PvP? Definitely. Way longer." Devnull
  23. I'll keep us moving ... 4579 :P ~D. V. "Rolling, rolling, rolling..." Devnull
  24. One more reason to hate Windows 7 and love Ubuntu ... Windows 7 can't handle a whole myriad of ancient games that a whole ton of people like. [spoiler=Something remotely considerable as a Joke inside...]And don't make me get started with this one, or you might be forced to close the thread from flooding. ~D. V. "Ancient Classic Gamers, and Windows 7, are NOT compatible..." Devnull
