  1. And hope that you can read the post properly... I just tried, and in FF 3.5.7 it is choking severely. Only the first of the four hide-tagged things are expanding. (And yes, I've started a forum thread about it.) ~D. V. "Gee, I wonder if it is even readable?" Devnull ================= UPDATE: Strike that... Problem is fixed now and the post works. :shades: ~D. V. "Problem's gone." Devnull
  2. Hello, Tip.It Forum Staff... :-s While attempting to view twiley/Shyla/Lady_Heinous's HYT CC Rules, as posted at this location (URL too long to display) on the forum, I ran into a severe problem with the hiding tags that are used there. Even though I could view what was contained in the first hide tagging, the following three hide-tagged sections would not show when clicked to view. I'm running FireFox 3.5.7 on the system I'm currently at, not sure if it happens on the FF2-series PC, but I was wondering what might cause such a nasty glitch when I've been able to view tons of other forum pages with multiple hide taggings? Also, if this is a glitch with the forum's server-side code, or with how the javascripts being served are interacting with FireFox, will it be fixed by the next upgrade? Or have I tripped on a new bug that no one knows about? :ohnoes: ~D. V. "I'm flaming confused here!" Devnull
  3. This sums up everything I could have said. However, as I don't have a YouTube account and don't want one, I didn't subscribe. I might fly out to bookmark it though, but that's the extent of how far I'll go. ;) ~D. V. "Nice Remasters" Devnull
  4. That's bad luck. :o Worse, it sounds indicative of something like a power surge. I have to ask littleboy, do you keep your gaming consoles shielded behind a surge-protected power strip, and/or perhaps a full-blown UPS? ~D. V. "Just curious..." Devnull
  5. It should be working again now. I can see my own stats have returned, and I can see all of yours. :) Basically, we can thank Jagex themselves for this little gaffe. They fell through the floor, and sig.tip.it's caching system didn't know what to do. So it choked, and got stuck with a ton of missing data. :( ~D. V. "I hate when this happens." Devnull (p.s.: Thanks to Cruiser for helping me compile this explanation!)
  6. I hope Pure_MageUK sees this soon. My own custom sig isn't working. :( ~D. V. "Awww man!" Devnull
  7. Hehe. I chuckled at that. lol Same here. :P ... Even more hilarious is that this video shows an unusual and hidden usage of Windows' text-to-speech features. I didn't know it could do that! Let's see... how shall I finish this post? Ah, I know... LOL! ~D. V. "ROFLMAO!" Devnull
  8. WolfieMario, nice fakes, animations, and vids. All of them were so hilarious that I lost much everything else I could have said in a wave of "ROFLMLAO"... ~D. V. "LMAO" Devnull (p.s.: Float on the long acronym in my post for a tip on what it translates to...)
  9. I'll confirm, and add that the level required for Group Gatestone Teleport is "64", and that the Destination is "Group Gatestone"... :) ~D. V. "More info = helpful." Devnull
  10. IMO, you've written a good rant. I agree fully with your sentiments, as I also wonder why Jagex didn't have the smarts to just simply do those things already. Heck, mage/range is STILL underpowered in F2P (Except in Daemonheim) to some extent, which is not much fun at all. :? About the best workaround, until those things are fixed, that I can suggest is to keep an eye on your combat style, and watch your spellbook too. Sorry. :( ~D. V. "Yeah, Jagex has stuff to fix, don't they?" Devnull
  11. You took the words right out of my mouth. Real World Traders could just use money that you pay for gold with, give your account membership, then trade you all the gold you purchased. It'd be ridiculously easy for that to happen. Oh, and Serpy, I almost forgot. *stalks.* Even worse, there's the fact that Jagex has a rule disallowing drop trading. So I don't think this will be added any time soon, if ever. :( ~D. V. "Beyond unlikely to happen." Devnull
  12. Uhm... Learn to check fighting style, much? Seriously, if you didn't do that, then you got what you deserved for your ignorance. :ugeek: ~D. V. "There's a reason that Combat Style panel exists!" Devnull
  13. That's why I was saying it was an alternative for someone who just wants to get lost in the RC'ing in such a manner that they couldn't have a mental burnout. :P ~D. V. "Duh!" Devnull
  14. Having fun stalking me, are you? I saw you there, sneaking in behind me after I posted on a topic. :p

  15. If you don't mind getting lost in a fun minigame while you're doing it, you can gain several rune types and double exp gain by playing GOP. Further, you can add the FOG RC'ing Gloves to it in order to quadruple your exp gain on at least three of the altars while you're playing, resulting in downright massive exp gains. Obviously this only works if time isn't an overly heavy issue, and you like a nice journey. But I thought I would at least make the option more visible to you. ;) ~D. V. "Try a minigame, and get lost in the journey, perhaps?" Devnull
  16. Varn, stay away from Comodo's antivirus services, at least until Comodo fixes what they did wrong. Somewhere on the RSOF or something, I caught wind of someone that tried using Comodo's AV stuff, only to have it block them from downloading Sun Java direct from Sun's own website. Further, it even broke the old Java install that was already present on that other person's system. :( As far as I know, AVG and/or Kaspersky has a free version. Might be wrong about that, however, so please take a look at both of those and run an extra Google search before you settle on anything. I wish you the best of luck in keeping your PC secure. :) ~D. V. "Comodo's not a good idea, sorry." Devnull
  17. I got one big honking question for you: How the heck would it be done on IPB, seeing as Tip.It Forums have been moved onto that?!?!? ~D. V. "You know that I had to ask!" Devnull
  18. Well, it appears to be working now, at least for me. Try to login? ~D. V. "I'd love to know all of what happened." Devnull
  19. Since you still need 59 Magic (or better yet, 85 Magic) for the best in F2P spells, I suggest you craft all the different F2P rune types. Be certain to rotate which runes you're making so that you don't have a mental burn-out while RuneCrafting. That way, you can both train RuneCrafting, as well as set up for combat-grade training of Magic. Heck, reaching at least 55 Magic will give you a healthy boost, as it would enable you to utilize High Alchemy. And BTW, it is going to be the journey that's worthwhile. So sit back and enjoy as you work your way up. :-D ~Mr. D. V. "I should know... I'm 100% F2P and I've done this." Devnull
  20. 420rythme, did you know there are air rc gloves that would allow you to double the air rc exp to 280 per packload? ~D. V. "Just thought I'd ask..." Devnull
  21. Try the Rimmington Yews. I've been seeing a ton of non-talking people there lately. Even when I confirm (or conclude beyond a shadow of a doubt) that they're bots, I still can't report enough of them to make a dent in their presence. :( ~D. V. "I hate those [insert-foul-phrase-here] bots!!!" Devnull
  22. Why not make a sub-forum of H&A instead for all assists? ... It would allow semi-easy/semi-quick discussion with those posts that call for help, and/or allow several people to signal one person who has multiple problems as to what they can assist with. Further, it would allow greater co-ordination between those needing an assist, and those who can give it. And it would even cover the issue Dark_Aura mentioned above me. |^_^| TBH, I don't see any downsides with adding a whole extra subforum. ... And as far as I'm concerned, those who want to frivolously go "What? A whole additional subforum? Are you mad?" can just go jump in a really chilly lake. A small sticky thread just isn't enough to allow proper coordination of dates/times for getting an assist, and it definitely won't cover the issue that Dark_Aura mentioned. Just think about it, you WILL see what I mean. <_< ~D. V. "Give 'em a whole subforum. It'll work better." Devnull
  23. Shoot... Scratch the idea that I had, which only works with NVidia Graphics because of a utility provided by NVidia themselves. :wall: However, I do wish you luck in finding a solution to your problem. :) ~D. V. "Darn, not what I thought it might be..." Devnull
  24. Necromagus, I'm just curious... What is your graphics chipset on that laptop? ~D. V. "Hmm?" Devnull
  25. Two more for the list: Media Player: FooBar 2000 (http://www.foobar2000.org) Don't think I need to say much about that one. ^ ... Its' performance and features as a media player speak for themselves. ;) Desktop Function Expansion: Taskbar Shuffle (http://nerdcave.webs.com/) This handy little utility will let you rearrange your taskbar buttons in Windows XP, as well as close windows/applications via the taskbar with a middle-click. If you use FireFox, you will really feel at home with this one. It even comes with a few options on right-click of its' tray icon, and a settings panel as well. If I think of any more, I'll be sure to post them up. B) ~D. V. "Couldn't forget these, now could we?" Devnull
