Alright, this one's definitely mine! <*DVD lifts his hand, and makes a snapping noise with his fingers. Mechzx suddenly goes flying into the air and falls into a muddy lake about 3 miles away.*> Oh well, you're stuck in the mud now. 3986 ... Nice... we broke 4k... B) Wait a minute... we killed a retirement fund?!?!? WHY?!?!? ~Mr. D. V. "I think I'll miss the summarized version this time..." Devnull -
RcFarmer, you might want to get your hands on the "Explorer's Ring (3)", as it would allow rapid teleporting back to Draynor Village's nearby cabbage field. In my opinion, it would DEFINITELY speed up Law Rune RC'ing like crazy, and might create a more efficient method. ~Mr. D. V. I can tell you myself, with full certainty, that Falzar and I are two totally seperate people. Shame on you for even having the thought of us being a single entity. :shame: Among differences between us: They like Pokémon... I DON'T. They like MegaMan-series games... I don't particularly have a taste for those, either. (But I did like trapping them in what they like. :P ...) They like stuff from Artix Entertainment, stuff which I've personally blocked with my ABP settings. (And I prefer it that way...) They like changing into their favorite game characters... (I have a single set of fox-type forms I change into that are seriously NOT StarFox-related, as they don't even look like that spaceship-flying fox.) Does THAT say enough? Hell, I'd change into my large, carrier-type fox form and sit on your head, but I'm reserving that for someone more deserving. That, and I'm trying to avoid being childishly torturous in a short amount of time. Hmm... <*punches post preview...*> ... Alright... 4053 ~Mr. D. V. <*DVD teleports a big ball of water overhead of Falzar. It falls, splashes, and washes Falzar right out of the room. Falzar finds themself at a shooting range about 25 miles away, where they can hit all the targets they want, thanks to a ton of respawners buried in random places.*> Fine, damnit, call me "DV" or "DVD" or ... what the hell... why not "Devnull", albeit I'd prefer "Mr. Devnull" from you... But just don't run afoul of me again. <_< Oh, and if you see anyone blow the count while I'm away, feel free to lend a hand and do with them as you would please. Make sure, though, that they pay for what they did... Or I'll enjoy showing you both the meaning of pain... Heh... time for the *M*A*S*H* Division Number... 4077 ~Mr. D. V. "Enough fighting between us... We'll let our fellow counters call this a draw." Devnull -
I suggest that you pop in your Windows OS Disc, and look for a "Detect and Repair" or similar option. Hopefully, that will fix your problem. :) ~D. V. "When all else fails, sometimes the OS Disc can help..." Devnull

[OFFICAL]Tip.it's Patch Note to Jagex
D. V. Devnull replied to Dire_Wolf's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
Here's one more to add back: Middle Mouse Button (ALMOST a shameless plug, given that I wrote that thread myself... Honestly, though, I was thinking of more than myself when I wrote that...) Even if it were just simply the duplicate left-click it once was, it's better than leaving a dead button or forcing users to change their system-wide behavior for that button. Albeit that it could be expanded, if someone at Jagex could get off their rear and produce the extra code to tack in the extra options. Pretty sure it took adding some code already to distinguish between left and middle, seeing as that button only stopped working with the RT5 release. And now that I'm thinking of it... Would be nice if Jagex would restore Full HD Compatibility with Java 1.4.x-series, and Graphics Cards as early as the 'ATI Radeon 9200'... Or, at least as close as they can possibly get... Not too much of an issue being without AA on that early a setup... It is simply not nice at all seeing RS crash recent FireFox versions on the way out when combo'd with that kind of stuff. (Please don't ask why I'm on that combo. Makes me looney every time I have to talk about it.) :wall: Also, there's a boatload of things needing fixing/removal with GOP (written by another user of Tip.It Forums, awesomely enough)... and that thread contains almost all of it. :geek: Yeah, Dungeoneering needs an extreme amount of fixes in F2P/P2P also. There should always be a way, even if you have to search for it, to get through doors that need a greater skill level. And definitely no doors that require way too much higher of a skill level, as people should never be totally blocked from getting as much exp as they can! In addition, it would also be nice if we could re-color more of our chatbox, as well as make the chatbox background either solid or non-gradient semi-transparent with a dark background. (Yes, this one's been giving me a headache for some time, but I'm only going to try to maintain one suggestion thread for now.) ;) Now, I'm sure the list goes on, but that's all that crosses my mind right now. I'll post back if I can think of more. <*Watchlists the thread*> B) ~Mr. D. V. "Too danged much needing changes/repairs..." Devnull -

4123 Hey, where's the "bull rush" of posts that were supposed to happen while I was offline last night? ~D. V. "Wha?" Devnull -
Easiest thing to do is forget about IE and use Firefox/Chrome. They'll still need a clean copy of IE and its' rendering engine in order to view '.chm' help files and properly use programs that were designed specifically (and in my opinion, stupidly) to use IE's rendering systems. There is just about no way, almost literally, to forget completely about IE if you're a Windows (or as I like to think of it, WinBlows) user. Microsoft made it so there are too many hoops to even try to step around, including really stupid legal issues. :( I'll be one to admit, though, that I wish there was a way to change the rendering engine all across the Windows OS Subsystem. Imagine, Windows Explorer, using FireFox's rendering engine to handle everything. ~D. V. "I really wish Windows Users could forget IE... Dang." Devnull

Just watch if she blows the count... I can be a "one size blasts all away" kind of person... O RLY? <*DVD hands Napalm_Death to Dracula to be feasted upon by their grossly over-beautified female second-in-command, whose name currently eludes DVD...*> Enjoy that kind of masochism, especially for blowing the count a short distance back. You know where... <_< And in case you forgot, here's the quote: 'Nuff said. :ugeek: 4128 ~Mr. D. V. "No one gets missed when I'm watching..." Devnull -
Yes, but you should only do it after wiping out the infected file. Visit Microsoft's website for the IE program. That, or just use your Windows OS Install Disc to restore a fresh non-infected copy of IE, and upgrade from there via Windows Update. :geek: Good luck, though... In the past, it had the chance of being an all-day pain. I don't know how a more modern OS will react, if it doesn't just flat try to prevent you from wiping out the IE executable. ~D. V. "Now I know why I use a non-crashing FireFox..." Devnull

I'll "third" the motion to have a button for this command. Also, I'm not sure, but I think that the hide tag command also exists alongside the spoiler command. Dunno about usage, though. :-k ~D. V. "No question, it's wanted!" Devnull

No offense taken, Mirror. Feel free to do it anytime you like, as I'm not the only one in the world that does it. Of course, most of them are doing it with their IRL names, and not their internet handles. :D Are you sure that's not because of the post removed a while ago? Nah, that ended up in a double post by Haseo (my post in the middle of his 2 posts was deleted), which we decided was fair to keep. Which, of course, is grounds for them to get validly ganked by me. And just for the sake of mischief... <*DVD pulls out a feather duster and starts tickling romy...*> You shall roll on the floor, laughing your <insert-non-foul-word-here> off! :P Now... I think we're at... 4209 ~Mr. D. V. "I shall make you squirm!" Devnull -
nmanitstinksn, before you actually do much of anything to your browser and other system parts, I have a few questions for you: Java Version? Browser Version? Current Browser Add-Ons? Operating System? Anything else you can tell us that you think might be helpful? I've seen something similar before, and all I had to do was change a website I was using for some particular activity I was doing in order to end the issue. Might be the same thing here, or it might not be. Either way, answering the above questions can potentially help in determining what's up. :) ~D. V. "Just a few questions to get a better idea of what might be possible..." Devnull (p.s.: Unlikely you've got the same problem as me, BTW... Everyone's mileage is prone to varying.)

Agreed... Been a few, but here we go! <*DVD launches high into the air, and chops down the upper part of a giant tree. As he drops back to the ground, he takes all the wood he's gathered, and shapes it into a giant anvil-shaped object. He stores the spare wood he doesn't use, and tosses the wooden anvil into the air, causing it to land perfectly on 321Ownage's head and create a large cloud of dust. When the dust clears, 321Ownage is seen stumbling around dizzily because of how hard they were hit on the head. The parts of the wooden anvil have all safely and gently collapsed out of the way.*> Slapstick, and just how it ought to be. Pun intended. BTW, we're at 4228 now. Let's keep rocking on! B) ~Mr. D. V. "Talk about knocking on wood, eh?" Devnull -
If this was the case firefox wouldn't work. Agreed... Sorry, my brain was trying to think while 75% tired. #-o I'd love to know what could mess up the IE rendering engine this badly, though... :-k ~D. V. "Oops, sorry!" Devnull

Alright... I do happen to mage/range as well, but I get the point here. :o I think I'll get rid of that mask later today, and go train Range a bit in my Full Green D'Hide. :) Thanks all for your responses... Again, I appreciate them a lot. And, since my question is answered, I'll have a Moderator lock this thread to get it out of your way. B) ~Mr. D. V. "Case Closed!" Devnull

I suggest you check your hosts file... Sounds like something's redirecting everything to 127.0.0.1 or doing something like just messing up your whole TCP/IP Stack... :-k Also, if you could PLEASE post an HJT log, we would all appreciate it. Thanks in advance. :) ~Mr. D. V. "Just suggesting a possibility of where to check..." Devnull

To everyone who's replied: Thank you for your opinions so far. I appreciate them a lot. :) To anyone who hasn't posted here: Any opinions from the rest of this rather nice community? Hello, everyone... :) First off, I'm 100% F2P... Given both that fact, and the my stats in my signature, I would like to know the following... :-k Is it worth my time/use/whatever to keep the "Mask of Dragith Nurn", which I built shortly after "The Blood Pact" came out? BTW, in case you're curious, I think my mind got stuck on sentimental value. That's why I haven't just dumped it. Any non-flame thoughts are welcome... ;) ~Mr. D. V. "My brain's been stuck a while..." Devnull
