  1. Well, I said that I may post an update... and here it is! I'm happy to announce that after a slightly annoying long day of upgrading to 25 Mbps/25 Mbps (U/D) Verizon FiOS, I'm now getting far faster pings and page loads. Fastest world is giving me a ping of 15, and the slowest is now giving me a ping of 320, which is a definite improvement over what I was getting before. Still not entirely my kind of range, but at least it isn't as delayed as it was before. :) ~Mr. D. V. "Zooooooooooooooom!" Devnull
  2. Quick update from the East side of the Pacific Ocean (West side of the USA) for all of you... FiOS upgrade here a couple days ago was successful... Took all day, but the new-found speed is worth it. Pages come down in the blink of an eye and everything. ClareJonsson, I'm curious... What about you? Have you made the upgrade yet? ~D. V. Devnull (p.s.: Time to go post my ping rates in that other thread. :) ...)
  3. 5292 <*DVD walks into the kitchen, and sits down on a chair near the center table... Quietly, he pulls out a gun, and sits and thinks to his self as he stares at it...*> ~Mr. Devnull
  4. Skatedog, go check out  123EHost.com ... My parents and I use it, and it is quite economical, albeit they have rare, once-in-a-blue-moon issues. But for the costs (as low as $4.17/month) they post, it is worth that slight occasional headache. Heck, you might think they're talking madness to have those prices. But somehow, they've pulled it off, and they're feature-filled to the brim. ~D. V. Devnull
  5. Meh... could have been worse... either bunk could have fallen apart and you both would have got hurt. Bright side: You didn't get hurt. Smile already! 5317 ~Mr. Devnull
  6. Albel & xsarah, you look like someone has shocked any semblance of thought out of the two of you. Please "pipe up" with something, and be more chatter-ish? 5324 ~D. V. "Talk, please?" Devnull
  7. Not funny. <_< 5327 ~Mr. D. V. "Definitely nothing to laugh over there..." Devnull
  8. Ignore all the above info from other posters. I get it, when you disagree with a post, it's ok. People disagree with you, they're posting "negative opinions". Nope, you misinterpret me. =; The reason I considered the opinions of the three who I responded to as "negative" was because of the derisive nature (particularly towards myself) which they took on. -.- My initial thought on the other hand about "ignore all the above", however, was more of a "hold the presses" kind of thought... Further, it was made purely on the statement "money is not an option", which basically meant that the OP ('duckstarr13') needed to avoid the G.E. (AND any gp usage) as completely as possible. Which with how the G.E. is messed up, means that speed really goes out the window if any person (even you, me, someone else, and/or 'duckstarr13') wishes to come out on top of the situation and with a nice package of gp to spare. I guess I'll have to get started on that 'G.E. Repair Suggestion' which I've been thinking about... I'm apparently not going to be able to hold off until I've finished up everything I'm already handling. <_< ~Mr. D. V. "People really need to stop viewing my words in the worst light..." Devnull (p.s.: You'll notice that the OP, 'duckstarr13', hasn't changed their post as of when I'm typing this. I'm pretty sure they meant what they said about "money is not an option"...)
  9. Happens on any world. And since I've found the glitch also with a super-stable Java install and an NVidia GeForce 7300 GT, it means it can happen to anyone. Particularly users in HD mode. Further, I've seen it turn black, magenta, and a shade of green that really doesn't go well with the dirt/grass mix outside the bank. :-? I'd definitely say Jagex has yet another issue to fix. <_< ~Mr. D. V. "This thread just went on my watchlist..." Devnull
  10. @ 'Pinkbullet3', 'bladewing', & 'funion987' --- The RuneScape economy is totally upside-down and gone to hell. Until it gets fixed, self-sufficiency is the best way to go about Mining/Smithing... Seeing as I'm sure none of you will start the thread that would result in such a repair, I ask you to keep your negative opinions to yourself. Keep in mind, it is the person who began the thread we're posting in that will make the final decision as to what they wish to do. I'm just giving them an option that doesn't depend on so much else, such as RuneScape's messed up economy. ~Mr. D. V. "Self-Sufficiency = Survival" Devnull
  11. Nah, it's because I'm using a laptop right now, mainly just to surf around and read stuff rather than make long posts and such. :P Ah... alright, I can definitely believe that, seeing as I've also had times where all I could do was just quickly check stuff and go. That one sounds nuts to me. :P *groan* LOL  5333 ~Mr. D. 12. Ignore all the above info from other posters. There is a better (and far more profitable) way to level smithing, assuming you have the nature runes and fire staff (or fire runes, either will do) to get this started with somewhere in your vast bank space... Patience is a definite must, however, but it will pay off. B) First off, mine about 300 mithril and 1200 coal. Smelt them into their respective 300 Mithril bars. Then, make the highest-level mithril item that you're able to make. Once you rack up a stack or two from that of mithril items, high-alch all of it with the aforementioned nature runes. This will give you both gp and the ability to buy even more nature runes in order to repeat all of this. Keep doing it until you've gained at least 2M gp (at the minimum what I've gained from this process) or more in your bank. Have fun... I hope my post helps you. :D ~Mr. D. V. "A fellow Mithril Smither..." Devnull
  13. LOL  Nah, run4runes ... You have to pair the two together for the second one to be funny. :P 5339 ~Mr. D. V. Devnull
  14. For the sake of thread clarity... I'm still trying to figure out what "it" refers to. "it" = "the feature" ~Mr. D. V. "I don't think I can get simpler than that..." Devnull
  15. I guess it is just a matter of upgrading when the stable release arrives? ~D. V. "Don't ya just hate those bugs?" Devnull
  16. lol :P Definite Google-Fail ... rofl  Ah, you don't know, do you? We tend to suck people into here, kinda like a vacuum... Except this one sucks in people. Dirty, indeed. ;) 5344 ~Mr. D. V. "I see more LOLs... good." Devnull
  17. Kicking this thread back to page 1... I've still got a little to sort out. I'll also import some notes from the RSOF mirror soon... ~Mr. Devnull
  18. 5350 How ironic... but still not funny... :( Which means both jokes sucked severely... Even though run4runes put more meat into theirs... In fact, both weren't jokes at all... They were frigging horror stories! :boohoo: My slapstick smashings of other users over failures in the post count, however, at least don't suck this bad. Which means you two can come up with better wisecracks and jokes than you currently are. Unless you'd like to both become part of the punchline of a twisted joke. ~Mr. D. V. "Maybe I'll have to clobber them?" Devnull
  19. Power2o, there really isn't any fast way that is equally good. You end up losing something for speed. :-| Best I can tell you is to train all your skills in their respective chains. Acquire the materials yourself, don't buy them. :^_^: ~D. V. "I have to take it the self-sufficient way myself every time I'm on..." Devnull
  20. 5354 Juhniz, are you too scared to talk after what I did to Yomyth105? ....... You shouldn't be... Serious... This thread needs a few more wisecrackers, jokes, chitter-chatter, and all that other good stuff. ~Mr. D. V. Devnull
  21. I see you're also as great as ever at screwing the count up. Now to smash you up something fierce for having done so... <*DVD pulls out "Kaitrayodai", his Light Paladin Sword, and unleashes Raijeiden Blaze upon Yomyth105 ... A huge ditch is created, at the back end of which is Yomyth105, battered, burned, and bruised ... who suddenly finds theirself deluged by water from the indoor river as the ditch floods into a lake from it...*> And now you're washed out... :P Good catch and reset of the count, run4runes... Thanks! Now, where were we? Ah, yes....... 5356 :ugeek: ~Mr. D. V. "Well, that's a new indoor side-lake..." Devnull
  22. Just checked my signature... I don't have any other broken links, at least as far as I can see... Mind enlightening me as to which you're having trouble with? 5370 ~Mr. "Huh?" Devnull
  23. A little buzzed by this off-topic-ness... Right. Not joking, damnit... Sorry to hear you can't accept the fact that I'm really that old. Unluckily for you, I really am 27... Have you looked at my forum profile lately? On-Topic: Still waiting for a response from you, thekiller308 ... What's going on at your end? ~Mr. D. V. "I hate being so old..." Devnull (p.s.: Enough of this... Any further and I'll involve a forum moderator who will likely do some serious post stripping... We need to not be junking this topic up.)
